frumpygrumpy · 20/09/2007 14:47

Meanwhile, I don't feel quite as frumpygrumpy as I did when I started but it is me in my heart of hearts so I will stay fg forever

Egg · 20/09/2007 14:58

LOL. And why is chopster Kelly?

I have had various names but like being Egg. Wondering already about a halloweeny Egg and Christmas Egg name. At least I can stick with Egg throughout as it has no bearing on me at all, I don't actually look, or smell, Eggy (I hope). Saying that, I look more Eggy shaped now I am getting more pregnant.

frumpygrumpy · 20/09/2007 15:05

Chopster used to be Kelly1978. She won Chopster in the MN auction, I think its a nickname in her family. I can't get my head in line with these new fangled things. I'm also turning into my gran.

Egg is good. Always been fond of eggs.

oooggs · 20/09/2007 15:07

oooggs is my nickname in rl from dh

chopster · 20/09/2007 15:12

expatingkat, look at this site here this is the sort of thing I mean. Quite a lot of ££ if you want brand new, because you have to import it I think, but they are often on ebay. But you can take the third seat off and use it as a twin when you don't need it.

Fg, where's my fresh top! I've been to the gym this morning and could do with it PMSL at praising the popcorn! RE the weightloss, have you tried measuring yourself instead of weighing? I find my weight flucuates widley so try to avoid the scales.

Great news, egg! Glad it all went well.

Fuddledong, I love the dress, hope you have a great time. Get down the gym! THough I must confess that I went swimming then spent an hour in the spa before coming back to a bailies on ice a few evenigns ago!

speedymama, hope everything is ok and see you soon. x

The morning routine did improve this morning. I told dd that she had to eat breakfast and brush hair/teeth, get bags ready etc before gettign dressed. And if she wasn't ready she was going in her PJS! Evil, I know, but it worked! She is full of nits again though, so I have a lovely job to do tonight.

Who is Kelly

chopster · 20/09/2007 15:12

Oh shit! Ignore the foody bit!

oooggs · 20/09/2007 15:56

egg - I have a few bits of clothes like that if you are interested in seeing them - just email me at oooggs at hotmail.co.uk as dts are 6 mths next week so have a few bits to get rid of.

DT's were born in March so will be same seasons for you whereas no good for momma

Meeely2 · 20/09/2007 15:58

have u guys seen the australian lesbian couple, suing cos they had twins through IVF instead of the one they ordered?

OP posts:
Egg · 20/09/2007 16:01

Oooogs I used to use my nickname from DH as a screen name (not on MN but on BabyFit a cacky American site I used during last pg), and decided it was too embarassing on here in case I did actually know anyone.

Chopster, was the foody bit meant for another thread? Sounds yummy.

OOogs forgot to thank you profusely for your help the other day with the Nipper measuring. Think once we are back from hols we will go to a baby place nearish here with our tape measure and see what is what.

Stuck inside watching Mr Tumble as DS seems to be feeling more sickly this afternoon and doesn't want to move from the sofa. Suits me .

oooggs · 20/09/2007 16:02

yes meeely - ungrateful gits sorry

Meeely2 · 20/09/2007 16:03

i thought it was outrageous! suing cos one of the partners had 'lost the ability to love'....no love she got PND and she's stressed! welcome to the real world.....

OP posts:
Egg · 20/09/2007 16:04

Ah thanks Oooggs (think I actually spelt it right then!). I will mail you definitely. I have tons of clothes from DS, but nothing girly and also newborn size all in ones I will need as DS was such a puker a lot of his stuff was thrown out!

Meeley - WTF! I can imagine that will incense (sp) a lot of people who are desperate for one baby, let alone two. My friend who did IVF was over the moon to get twins as she said she could never go through IVF again and it meant she didn't have an only child.

Egg · 20/09/2007 16:05

If things get too tough I might sue DH for fertilizing both the damn eggs...

Meeely2 · 20/09/2007 16:09

good point Egg.......

OP posts:
Egg · 20/09/2007 16:27

Was just going to apologise for spelling your name wrong as well as Oooggs but realise that you yourself lose count of the eeeeee's. There's always someone we can sue. I could sue my dad for having twins in the family, as well as sueing DH.

Now watching Tubbies for third time today. I think DS has become a bit television dependent today .

frumpygrumpy · 20/09/2007 18:08

who can I sue for getting horny twice in the one week? I'm sure thats what happened to me

frumpygrumpy · 20/09/2007 18:12

before I start a thread.....why are my onions not caramelizing? I have two recipes I need this for and its just not working for me.

I cook them for 30-35 minutes, fairly hot, once I've tried with sugar, once without......they stay onion colour not the deep brown they should be.

Egg · 20/09/2007 18:15

God no idea on onions. I am a crappy cook .

Also think it was two occasions that got me pregnant with Nemo and Dory. First time was the girl, as really a bit early for ov, and second time was the boy. I was already feeling crap by the second time, and already wondering if I was pg. The girl is currently slightly bigger than the boy too.

MarsLady · 20/09/2007 18:52

Too much oil? Heat too high? Too low? You're stupid not using enough sugar?

Don't know FG!

Speedy............ here when you need us!

chopster · 20/09/2007 19:19

jsut quickly, pan needs to be smoking hot, then put it about a tbsp of oil and the same of butter. throw in the onions, and then immediately lower heat to medium. Put in equal amounts of salt and sugar and it takes about an hour for them to brown.

meeley, I've heard of that before, with a straight woman who had ivf and then ended up with dts. Don't tell dp, he'ss sue me!

no egg, that was my freezer list! It was on the notepad file I was using to write my post!

piximon · 20/09/2007 19:29

I keep thinking I should post, then get so carried away trying to catch up with all your news I run out of time or just forget.
I'm so tired and forgetful. Have lost my hospital forms so haven't yet booked scan or been for a blood test. Am dreading asking the GP for another set. Having said that this time around was the first time he didn't ask me to pee in a pot or take in proof that I am pg.

Am typing on my new laptop that my family clubbed together to get for my birthday last month so appologies for any typos, still trying to get used to keyboard.

DTs are huge but so slow compared to DS1 & DD1. I know I shouldn't compare but just can't help it. Nearly 9 months and still won't sit up by themselves, they get around by digging nails into wooden floor and dragging themsleves along. DT1 is definately the more dominant twin. She has to invesigate everything, makes feeding her a nightmare as her head is spinning everwhere. If she sees DT2 with a toy she has to take it off him and give him a bashing and heaven forbid she hear him getting love and tickles-the floodgates open and she cries like her heart is breaking. DT2 takes most of it in his stride, he's a placid, patient (except with food), docile little fella.
Finally got around to toilet training DD1 (just turned 3). She has the odd accident now but I'm saving a fortune on daytime nappies.
DS1 is being his usual loving/trying self. I seem to be the only one who can disipline him. He laughs at anyone else who tells him off. He's great one minute and in the next second does something horrible like pinching while walking along holding your hand.
Overall things are looking up. House is getting decorated, not as fast as I'd like, but as fast as we can manage with DH not really allowed any time off. He was told that the two weeks paternity leave he took when DTs were born, he was not actually entitled to as he hadn't worked there long enough, so had to give up two weeks holiday or loose two wks pay.

Mars- I saw that I-candy Pear buggy in a shop a few weeks ago. It's really, really lovely.

Is Triplets ok?

Has anyone heard from Doris? Still keep meaning to book my tickets down to Devon but things keep coming up. Hopefully soon tho.

Hello to all those I haven't chatted with yet. I'm still trying to get to grips with who's who since the last load of name changes.
Ok that's me done for another month or two..lol

MarsLady · 20/09/2007 19:33

Thank goodness you've posted. We've missed you you lazy mare darling!

Egg · 20/09/2007 19:38

Hi Piximon, not sure we have met but blimey does your life sound busy. So am I guessing correctly that you are currently expecting No 5? No wonder you are tired! I only have one DS, with twins on the way,and am exhausted. I am never having sex again for risk of any more children though, I don't know how you lot cope with so many. I am in awe.

Going to sign off soon, getting close to bedtime for me. Is it realistic to think I can still be putting DS to bed just after 7pm when he is 5, 10, 21??

MarsLady · 20/09/2007 19:40

Absolutely Egg!

Egg · 20/09/2007 19:40

By the way, Chopster, my freezer list would read something like this:-

Green & Blacks Choc Ice Cream
Tesco Caramello Ice Cream
Tesco Mintylicious Ice Cream
Few homemade portion size cottage pies for DS
Sausages
Salmon Steaks
Frozen Veg

I feel embarrassed. I wish I could cook .
