Hi LG&T - glad all is going well, yeah I would love a cleaner, well a cook actually. I like cleaning it's the food shopping and cooking I don't like.

Love that top frumpy - sorry no ideas on the hair having enough probs with my own

Yes saw the thread about the ldc, my only complaining is that I haven't had any

Ladyofleisure - yes on their own the twins are easy, chuck in a demanding preschooler and all hell breaks loose.

Leoladyofleisure · 21/06/2007 19:39

FG - ditto what Ooogs said. If its shoulder lenght hair then it may not stay up in any kind of clip , top will look gorgeous even if you wear your hair down.

Cleaning can be therapeutic when you don't have to do it, but when its getting desparate and you have no time or energy then its a nightmare.
Also don't like the food shopping much but we tried a delivery service and its really bad here. We also live a good 15 mins away from a decent supermarket and on a good day it closes at 8 but on other days a 5 so it takes up half a day (fitting around feeds) for me to go.

I'm off for a while - do you have those dark columbian chocolate magnums in the UK.....!

Chopster · 21/06/2007 19:48

training the twins is an ace idea. They can start on the ironing in the morning.

I really must stop saying to the boys 'in a minute'. Poor rav thinks it must follow every word he says now. "rav minute, shay minute, bottle minute, car minute", aargh!

We've had great fun this week, we've been going to the races. It's easy walking distance from dd's school, and since a lot of it is public heathland, we can cross over the course and plonk ourselves down for a picnic right opposite the stadium and watch the horses race past the finishing post for free. The kids were galloping all the way home!

I got asked three times today! It's getting worse again, since I changed the pushchair. Don't understand it at all. I can't wait until the boys can answer for me. Rav isn't particularly friendly at all, so will def bite their heads off.

Rav has been incredibly grumpy lately, even shay is fed up with him. He has been packed off for a few days and I'm going to give Shay some quality time. Hope the weather improves so we can get out and about.

Hi, I'm based in Malta, have DS who is now 5 and Twin Daughters aged 3.6. People often ask if they're triplets and when I say no, they look at me as if I'm a loony.

My favourite though was an elderly couple on holiday, who were seated at the table next to us in a cafe recently. She turned to him and said 'I didn't know they could have triplets here too!'

MarsLady · 21/06/2007 20:56

Hi Maltese.... welcome.

There are loads of us on here (not the couch). Sometimes we post like we have no life and the rest of the time the DTs take up our lives and MN has to wait.

I have 5 children, but please don't look like that LG&T has 6

My youngest are DTs aged 3.4yrs, so born not long after yours. They are g/b DTs. She is the one in charge

Thanks MarsLady,

TBH I'm supposed to be working but kids have been absolute nightmares today and I'm skiving instead.

Feel much better now that I've read some o the posts on MN; not quite so isolated somehow.

I'd better get my nose to the grindstone . Thanks again

MarsLady · 21/06/2007 21:06

We're always here eventually lol!

The others will be along to welcome you soon. Don't work too hard!

inamuckingfuddle · 21/06/2007 22:01

hello everyone else will try to catch up now...

Love the site Mars. And I know you have bemoaned your small chest before, HM, but grrrrrr - I wish I could looked like that when I tried to feed them together. You look so neat, serene and discreet - when I tried it, it was the most unflattering, messy and uncomfortable thing ever and I gave up and did them one at a time (which of course, was the only thing I then did for the next 8 weeks).

Yes, FG, I am hugely glad that I found out the sex of the baby now rather than later because I wouldn't want anything to taint the wonderful experience of birth later on. When I was pg with the dts I, and everybody else said 'definately one girl and one boy' and when they were born it floored me for days because my family looked different than how I had imagined it. I didn't even realise how much I had been presuming. So it did taint that first few days and I didn't want to do it again.

Of course, now that I know, I just want to get the rest of the pregnancy out of the way and meet the little fella! Roll on October...

frumpygrumpy · 21/06/2007 23:13

Welcome maltesemum, tell me you adore maltesers (I love them) and you live in malta.........

I agree, HM looks fab in that photo and from here on in shall be banished from the thread. She may remain on Mars website (love it Mars, love the big bump too).

So, what was the last we heard of overrun?

MarsLady · 22/06/2007 02:07

Maybe she's pregnant with Quads and doesn't know how to tell us?

(I love the big bump too. She was my March client and her DH took the photo)

Harrogatemum · 22/06/2007 07:23

inamuckingfuddle · 22/06/2007 08:25

morning all, what a lovely day to visit a farm with HM and her DCs...all I have to do now is convince my far too girly DTs that skirts are not appropriate attire see you there HM!

oooggs · 22/06/2007 08:27

have a great day at the farm

Chopster · 22/06/2007 08:30

have a good day! It's pissing it down here, so I'm glad you've got better weather. dd is the same, but can be convinced to wear most things as long as they have a butterfly/flower/sequins on!

Chopster · 22/06/2007 08:36

welcome to maltesemum. Love the cafe story.

inamuckingfuddle · 22/06/2007 08:45

Harrogatemum · 22/06/2007 08:48

well its a bit foggy in Harrogate and chilly but not raining........YET!!!

Harrogatemum · 22/06/2007 08:57

dingdong if you think it will be a miserable experience in this weather please say, I wont be offended as I hvent been there!

inamuckingfuddle · 22/06/2007 09:08

hi hm just replied to your text - I haven't been there before but mentioned it to a colleague at work yesterday and she said its all outside except for the petting shed and is a fair weather place really - I gues it depends if its opuring for hours or just the odd shower...

Chopster · 22/06/2007 09:55

go to soft play instead!

Harrogatemum · 22/06/2007 13:57

We would have done Kelly but we live MILES away from each other.....we were each spending an hour driving to get to the farm we were going to..but it pissed down so we have cancelled and are going in July instead when hopefully we will have better weather......

Today the DTs have pushed a plastic sausage into a speaker, thereby losing it for all eternity and DT2 has asked me to "kiss it better mummy" when I have his bum in my face changing his nappy. NICE!
