Soks - Estar was, a few years ago, a regular poster on here. Then one of her twin sons died from a rare form of cancer. This happened just over 2 years ago. Now her husband has died from cancer. Its beyond sad and it makes me very, very angry. Nobody should have to keep living through all this crap. Its disgusting. About 3 years ago Estar visited me - she doesnt live very far away from me. She is truly lovely and so kind. I dont know how she is carrying on.....I am not sure I could.

She is so courageous and believes so much in her God and her faith. I would be kicking off and fighting with everybody if I had walked her path.

I would love her to come back and post here.....you would like her - straight talking, loving, kind woman xxxx

triplets · 26/05/2014 08:14

She truly is..........watching Daniel die was so bloody cruel, now Richard. I read her blog y/day and the tears were pouring down my face. Its cruel, very very cruel.

MultipleMama · 26/05/2014 10:12

I'm so very sorry for your friend's and her DC's losses. Life can be one cruel bitch. You speak so lovingly and highly of her that she sounds like one of those people who after one conversation you immediately take a shine too. To be saddened with so much heartbreak in such a short space of time is so unfair. I hope that her family, friends, and her faith can bring her some peace at this time. Xxx

PiL are visiting today which has the DC so exited so I'm gunna let them take DC to the park and something to eat xx

She does sound an amazing woman. It's shit that life deals the toughest cards to those with the kindest hearts.

Mama. Hope the dc have a fun day with gp.

Today we are just chilling. Have got all the toy food/crockery out as I'm sick of tripping over train track spread everywhere (we've moved on from Lego atm) and the inevitable arguments as James hogs all the trains when Joshua wants to play too.

Jennifer is being very sweet and making me cake and cups of tea :)

MultipleMama · 26/05/2014 19:27

So today around 2pm I got call from MiL saying were in A&E. Dom had got sand in his eyes and still had some in. When I got there they were still waiting so I saw how red and swollen his eye was - the nurse washed his eye (who also told me the twins have unusual eye colours...) and the Olmaphologist (cant spell) checked his eyes, good news they're fine but his irritated eye has a cornea abrasion and has been given antibiotic eye drops to prevent infection. He is however, back to normal and passed out in bed Grin.

Hope you had a lovely day, Sok, and you too ladies. Thoughts are with your friend Estar today xx

D'ya ever wonder when it will stop raining...?

Tis pouring here. Kids are being relatively good though. Going to put wellies and waterproofs on after lunch and go puddle jumping. All of mine love 'muddy puddles' and Joshua especially shrieks it any chance he gets.

Also getting birthday stuff for my biggest girl. 6 tomorrow! Have left it incredibly late I know. But I've no idea where the time has gone! Luckily she is easily pleased and only wants a princess barbie and Snow White/any pretty dress. So I've got her a few more pieces on order to go with it that I know she will like.

Mama, hope dom's eye is healed soon. I've scratched mine before and it bloody stings for a while.

MultipleMama · 27/05/2014 13:10

Hope you have a lovely time puddle jumping, Soks, my kids love it too. Especially Aubrey.

I hope it's healed soon, too, it's such a PITA trying to get the drops in, I seriously have to do the scissor hold on him to keep him still! He really hates those drops!

BlueA rolled over for the first time this morning, completely out of the blue!! It was kinda weird as he has no movement in left arm, and little in his leg but he pushed off his left side and landed flat on his back. Grin

Kids are all in bed after a hectic day, and I'm laid on the lounge floor full of pillows and a king-size blanket, cuddling myself and watching old episodes of Brothers & Sisters while DH is out cold upstairs. I have a massive headache, and really bad cramps; I have an inkling my periods might be starting back up :( I haven't had a period in around 4 years, this should be fun... not!

OP posts:
triplets · 27/05/2014 22:19

Periods are a pain and I sure dont miss them. My poor dd gets hers every 22-24days, they are heavy and last about 6 days, she also gets cramping poor kid. Anyone good at finding me a bargain holiday? We havent flown since 2007 since the cancer. With an all clear we feel we can risk a decent break. Problem is
1 finding somewhere everyone will enjoy and have things to do
2 kids will die if there was no Wi-Fi
3 we can afford, prices so far are horrendous a cruise for 7 nights over £5000, all inc in a resort (my idea of hell) £7000!
4 I don`t want to cook!

There will be a prize for the winner!

MultipleMama · 27/05/2014 23:04

Trips, what's your highest budget? How many are going? Where would you like to go? Where are you wanting to fly from and when you wanting to go? DH is great at bargain holidays and has taught me a trick or two, so I'll have a browse while I lie here unable to sleep! Grin

My periods were every 28 days, 4-5 days long, gushingly heavy for first 2 days, like clockwork. Wonderful they were... Primrose rose oil is good for periods x

Is something like this a good price?

OP posts:
MultipleMama · 27/05/2014 23:19

Try looking onthebeach.co.uk DH finds loads of deals on there. Currently they're doing an offer can't remember if it's 20% or 30%. I do recommend Fuerteventura (they have a waterpark - they were building it when I went in 2001 but have been since and it's great.)

OP posts:
triplets · 27/05/2014 23:33

your link wouldnt come up Mama. What I want I cant have and I know that. I dont want a holiday I want an adventure, I want to go back to America, to do a road trip...............I just love the place. Dh cant do it anymore, he wouldnt have the energy. We havent one a package holiday for over 20 years, I have always researched and booked everything and its been amazing! So to me two weeks by a pool in Spain would n be enough. Budget? We are now adults, for a beach type holiday say in the Med I would like to say £3-4000 max...........but the travel agents snort at that! We would fly from Gatwick. I wanted to try a cruise but trying to get 2 cabins was impossible and if they did find any the price was around £7000! Shock

MultipleMama · 28/05/2014 00:13

Hmm, try looking on iglucruise.com and cruisedeals.co.uk. It is possible to do a holiday for your budget, I think you just need to know where to look! Grin

OP posts:
triplets · 28/05/2014 07:05

I have phoned both those Mama, the trouble is finding a cabin for 3. The only one offered by iglu was over £7000!

Morning girls xx

Trips - will try and have a think for you.....apart from my brain no longer working properly, lew arriving in the next 10 minutes, Tom having become a stroppy 'know it all' and hubby getting on my tits bernies......well, this will be a welcome distraction. Have you had a look at the Greek Islands?

Tonight I have planed a special treat for K. As he loves of things Space I'm taking him to the public viewing of tonight's Soyuz launch which see's German Astronaut Alex launch to the ISS. K has no idea yet and keeps asking why we've redressed him! Just waiting on DH to come back from the petrol station and then we're off. I am so excited to see K's face light up and spend some one on one time with him! :)

MultipleMama · 28/05/2014 20:12

Just called my brother who is also getting ready to watch the launch but in Russia. Ivan & K just had a 20 minute discussion on Space... I've never heard my son speak so much Russian, and not falter with understanding or using his words. So proud. Slightly concerned on how long K will be up passed bedtime but as long as he has fun tonight and is still up at a decent time tomorrow, I'm happy. DH called and he's just managed to get blueA to sleep after a struggle to get him to take a bottle, but all the other DC went to sleep with no problems.

I'm so excited. Wishing Alex, Max, and Reid a safe launch xx

MultipleMama · 28/05/2014 21:24

A successful launch! K was cheering and clapping and giving thumbs up to the screen :) However, he's now passed out on my shoulder as we head back to the car. A brilliant night. I plan to watch the docking etc tonight on my laptop while K's in bed.

Morning all oh why do I keep waking up soooooo early, 5am today. Been watching two foxes for the last 20 mins! Holiday! Well I have been offered flights and an apartment in Puerto Pollensa which we know and love, dh and kids say go for it. So I am supposed to be booking it all this morning. So why am I not sounding excited? Because I wanted to do something different, something new and exciting. I spent over an hour yesterday in Thomas Cook, everything I wanted to do was coming in at an average of £7000, just cant do it. Really dont know what to do, as the others want to go to PP. Then I feel bad even thinking these thoughts after reading Estars latest blog :( How brave is that lady, I cry just reading her words............I hope that one day soon she will find the peace and happiness she so much deserves.

bubby64 · 29/05/2014 19:30

Our service provider has had our server down for 3 days, but at last I can get back on MN!
I was so sorry to read about Ester's RichardSadSadSad Such a nice family, they didn't deserve this heartache.
Mama - I'm glad the launch was a sucess, and hats off to blueA turning overSmile
Soks - hope the birthday has gone well.
Trips - we have hired a self catering villa from owners direct on Grand Canaria, but I intend to do very little cooking, we are planning on eating out as much as possible, especially as we find that food in restaurants that the locals use is cheap and really good quality, much better than the tourist aimed ones. It has cost us just over £2000 for a fortnight for the 4 of us in October over the 1/2 term.
Shabbs- have you survived the day?

We went to the Suffolk Show yesterday, as the boys Young Farmers club were in the Tug of War finals, so we had a free Members pass which included entry to the Members pavillion where everything was free.Grin Amazingly, the rain held off gor the whole day, and even though they lost the final, we had a great time and I even avoided overspendingWink
I am off work for another 2 days, until Sunday, so it has been worth me working 3 long days in a row over the bank holiday so I could spend most of the 1/2 term off.

MultipleMama · 29/05/2014 21:20

DH has bought K a drum set... I'm all for rock 'n' roll and learning an instrument but not right now when we have a high needs baby to condend with. I have, however, bribed the PiL into having it at their house until we clean out the garage. My FiL is particularly happy about this as he wants to be the one to teach K Hmm apparently he was in a navy band when he was younger and before he met dear MiL Grin the sly old fox!

Welcome back, bubby :) Glad the sun cooperated for you! :)

Booked! Spent hours this morning phoning round, esp the cruise companies. The cheapest cruise we could get would have worked out around £6000. I didn`t like the itinery much and felt the ship was abit dated! So Pollensa wins the day, we have a 3 bedroom apt with amazing sea views, good flight times, 10 nights, total cost for flights and accommodation is £2,500. So as we have saved a lot of money we had better be eating out a lot! Its been 7 years this summer since we flew, our last proper holiday before the cancer. So need to book parking and what are the rules and regs now re flying? Can you take any food stuffs in your main luggage?
