Thanks ladies.

My dad and brother are doing brilliantly, and DB has come on amazingly in such a short time, he still has his good and bad days and still has is god awful trigger words but both Ivan and I speak to him often and now talks to us instead being quiet :) My dad will know on the 29th Nov if everything is official :)

Bubs - I so believe that is true, not even 3 hours after surgery and his stats were more stable than they'd ever have been and his breathing and gases have improved so much due to lung being removed. And it may sound weird or maybe it's just my mindset but Fee seems more aware, and more tolerant of touches.

Petrov arrived on Saturday and the kids adore him. I think my DH's brother has some competition Grin The kids are just feeding off their positive vibes. Feels good to have family around. :)

Yes, where is our lovely Shabs? xx

Too much going on in shitty real life for my brain to cope with. Parents house sold - next begins emptying it of over 40 years of memories, visiting Mum at least 4 times a week, looking after everybody else, and just to top it off - a hoax report of a bomb in a car park next to Toms college yesterday - 'bomb' detonated in one of those controlled explosions - just as Tom left college and a 29 year old pillock of a man arrested. Apart from that there is not much happening. I AM KNACKERED!!!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 06/11/2014 14:00

Oh mama! Poor fee. Glad the op has improved things though.

Shabs, you can always seek sanctuary here. Can't remember of it was trips' or chops' garden shed house we were all hiding in before but it seems like a good place to be again.

I have an abundance of chocolate here to share round. Had to ask dh to pick up supplies on the way home yesterday and he may have gone a tad overboard.

James has an appt Friday (tomorrow) which can't come soon enough and Jen is having bloods done next Friday at the hospital.

triplets · 06/11/2014 22:59

God Shabs how scary........so many dangerous idiots around, I can imagine how you felt. Its an awful job emptying a house, I did my Mums virtually on my own, just sat there sobbing at all the little things I found......a box in the top of the wardrobe, inside it a funny Christmas mug...."Merry Christmas Grandad love from Matthew" . Many things broke my heart. Just had a slight tiff with dk, really just p--d me off, if only he knew what I have just called him :o Shabs.......meet me under the clock at Paddington at 11am tomorrow, Ill bring the butties you bring a </span>bottle-- flask. Ill get the tickets, two singles............no returns!!

shabbs · 07/11/2014 07:46

Oh my word Trips - I wish!!! Wish I could run away until things are sorted out. I dont have very many memories of the house (other than my parents struggle with their health) I was 17 when we moved there and hated it because I loved the council estate I was brought up on and the area we moved to was posh and my parents had bought the house.

When I was 19 me and DH moved darn Sarff to work in the pub trade in Middlesex.

BUT no matter what my memories are I have to help my DB sort out everything!

triplets · 07/11/2014 08:06

Morning girls, blowing a gale and lashing it down, been up since 6.30am, made a batch of pancakes, emptied the dishwasher, set the table, made packed lunches, fed the cat, fed the kids and now having 10 mins before I get dressed and off out to get the shopping..........I know lucky aren't I? Such an exciting life I lead...........
Got someone coming at 12pm to look at my carpet and tell me whether its worth cleaning or getting rid of, its disgusting. Would love a wooden type floor, pale grey/white but the quotes are coming out about £600 and cant afford it, but hate the thought of paying £60+ to clean this when I dont really want to keep it. What have you lot got down?

triplets · 07/11/2014 08:09

Forgot Shabs....what do you want in your butties, bacon, chips or fish fingers, tomato or HP sauce?

shabbs · 08/11/2014 08:07

Morning girls xx

I would have said bacon with brown sauce Trips but I missed my chance!!! x

Minisoksmakehardwork · 08/11/2014 11:05

Morning.

I feel appt yesterday went well. Dh, not so much. Guess we have differing expectations. Im hoping mine may be a tad more realistic.

The long and short is we are definitely looking at ADHD with James. Came away with a booklet, referral to ADHD nurse and promise to send further info on to us to help us understand. Dr will also be sending assessments out to home and to school for completion. She was concerned with school's view (again) especially when we reported that James is showing his rough streak at school but school are dismissing it as a 'boy thing'...

Have been told good things about this nurse by another school mum though so I'm cautiously optimistic.

bubby64 · 08/11/2014 21:35

Hi Girlie's
Shabbs- I hated clearing mums flat, and, even though she is still with us, well, in body if not in mind, it was a hard thing to do, we were lucky in one way as she had downsized from a 3 bedroom house to 2 bedroom flat 10yrs before, and we got rid of a lot of crap stuff then. I must admit, I kept a few silly knick knacks that bring back good memories.
Soks - at least you have a diagnosis, and the referrals look promising.
Trips - give your dk a kick up the butt from me. Mine is being quite nice at the moment, he was being a bit of an arse, but he has had to help me change some of my dressings this morning, and now he has seen what state my burns look like, he is suddenly being much more sympathetic, I think he was of the opinion I was exaggerating how painful things wereWink
Mama- hope Fee is still improving.
Chops - how are things with you.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 10/11/2014 11:26

Shabs. Hope you've been able to take some time out for you.

Trips, we've laminated wood floor in our lounge. I like it because it's easy to clean the spills up. Tbh we bought it off eBay and dh & friends laid it - one used to be a carpet fitter/floor layer, the other does carpentry/woodwork for a hobby. Think we paid about £60 for it inc underlay. There were a few bits we couldn't use but we'd already made sure there was more than enough to do our lounge. Otherwise the house is carpet and Lino laid when the house was built.

MultipleMama · 10/11/2014 11:57

Such a god awful weekend. I'm completely exhausted, and had a migraine for the past 2 days. Halo was in A&E yesterday as he had a severe asthma attack and made to feel guilty by MiL for not being there when it happened and "favouring" one child. - I was already at the hospital with Fee who's been unstable for the past couple of days due to an infection at his incision site. So fed up.

And I missed the SS nomination deadline (completely slipped my mind) to fill the form in - so someone is gunna think I'm ungrateful :(

Trips - We have rustic oak in our lounge. We found it under the carpet when we bought the house and had it treat. So easy to clean.

How're you ladies? Xx

Chopstheduck · 10/11/2014 12:31

soks, hopefully a dx would lead to more support at least x

we have laminate. Shitty, cheap laminate that wasn't laid properly and is coming up. I would rather have carpet really, but laminate is def more practical, especially with kids about. DD's bedroom carpet is shocking.

My bike is broken :( I am lost without it! I ran to the gym (only 3 miles each way) today.

Hope you are feeling better bubbs. Dunno if you posted a pic, but your profile is private?

Hope Halo is feeling better soon, mama. Don't beat yourself up, there is only one of you, and I know you are doing your best to spread yourself around. x And as for the ss, I'm sure the nominee won't know in any case.

triplets · 10/11/2014 12:54

God I hate being house bound, it hasn`t stopped raining or thundering for 14 hours, its bizarre, the road looks like a lake. My poor boys have been soaked 4 mornings running and no sign of it clearing until Thurs. So have beef stew in the crockpot, made two lots of soup and am making my Christmas cake mark 2 as I over cooked the first one!! Blaming my new cooker!! DD being her usual stroppy self, just spent £80 on boots (she chose) and coat, will she wear them..........no!! Goes out just now in a hoodie and Converse shoes which have split open at the back......I give up! Boys were on parade y/day, the sun actually came out just before 11am!

bubby64 · 10/11/2014 13:33

Chops - I had forgotten to tap save on my profile. The pic of the burnsvd is there,it is open to friends only, if you want to look, cringe warning, it shows my flab as well!

bubby64 · 10/11/2014 13:45

Sunny here today, but chilly.
Boys have both grown out of football boots, (which were size 6.5 now need 8!) and they have been told they do need them for PE as playing football, rugby and hockey outside. Now looking on Ebay for 2nd hand ones as they are so expensive, especially as they will only last one term if this rate of growth goes on. i expect i will have to replace their school shoes too soon. I get no sick pay, so money will be tight over the next few months, and we have both their birthday and Christmas loomingSad Unfortunately I spent all our savings on the holiday, so have nothing to fall back on, these burns couldn't have come at a worse timeSad Sad
I have already told the boys they will only be getting token presents this year for their b/day, and we will make up for this in the New Year.

bubby64 · 10/11/2014 13:49

We have carpet, but I would really love decent wood flooring, so much easier to keep clean with kids and animals, but DH doesn't like it.

bubby64 · 10/11/2014 13:56

Mind you, we have always had a big, fairly cheap rug down for protection over the wool carpet on our living room, as it's a pale colour. This large rug we replace every now and then, usually buying one from QD or off eBay, at which time we also Vax the actual carpet thoroughly. This works out far cheaper than replacing the whole lot.

Chopstheduck · 10/11/2014 14:00

holy shit, bubby, that is horrific! It must have been so hot! I do hope you do get plenty of compensation in time to cover your losses with work and so on. It really does look horrendously sore :(

Lovely pics of your boys, trips! Dd is the same with shoes and things. I have to shorn horn her into a coat to do her paperound. Though last time I did actually manage to get some trainers that she DOES wear! The number of nice things I have bought that jsut gather dust though, I'd almost given up.

MultipleMama · 10/11/2014 15:07

That's good to know, Chops, about the SS thingy. Halo is much better today, back to his normal cranky self Grin, he has his o2 reading next week to see if he's ready to come off the cannula .

Jeebuz, Bubs, that looks horrific and so so sore! I can't imagine how painful that is, I really hope you get compensation for the burns, because they look really bad, that water must have been scalding hot! I hope they heal without problems. I'm sure your DC will understand not receiving certain gifts this year due to your situation xx

Trips, I bet you were one proud mama! They look really grown up and very smart and professional.

My boys are in an awkward shoe phases. Had the measured a few weeks back and they're a UK2E which apparently is almost impossible to find...

OP posts:
triplets · 10/11/2014 22:11

Oh Bubby far worse than I imagined, horrendous............you had better get paid some good compensation, must have been incredibly painful. I am in a foul mood, dk encore. Had another go at me at supper, basically for some reason known only to him he threw out all the yogurts in the fridge, all 10 of them!! My fault apparently as I had left them on the table, yep I usually do when the kids are having lunch!! He went ape, shouted and so I stormed off to bed. These outbursts are more and more frequent, don`t know what to put it down to anymore..................grrrrr anyway off to do some browsing for Christmas............night girls xx

bubby64 · 11/11/2014 14:53

Thankyou for your sympathy, they are healing quite well, but we are worried about the signs of infection in one area, despite antibiotics. Never mind, it will all come out in the wash.
Trips - the boys do look very smart, you must be so proud.
As for your dk, these mood swings may be connected to the possible Parkinsons symptoms, have you told your GP about them? I know it's no excuse, but it may be a cause.
Mama- my 2 were always in sizes hard to find, just think it another cross to bear when having twins.lol.

MultipleMama · 12/11/2014 01:58

Just received the strangest phone call from dad. Telling me he loved me, and that he's proud of me and of the mother that I am. And that my mum would be so proud. I asked him why he's calling me at such a weird hour, he said he just had tell me after watching a program called "miracle babies".

I love dad to pieces but I wish he'd have waited until morning to call, the bugger woke me & Artie up.

OP posts:
shabbs · 12/11/2014 08:28

Morning girls. xx

I watched that Miracle Babies last night Mamma......from behind a cushion....was far too close to my situation with the twins. Should have turned it off but couldn't. I am not suprised your Dad rang you. I wanted to ring my eldest son to tell him I loved him - then knew he would think I had 'lost the plot.'

bubby64 · 12/11/2014 11:59

Shabbs/Mamma- same here! I looked in on my 2 to check on them when I went up to bed, which I haven't done in several months!! It's one of those programmes you know you shouldn't watch, but you can't help yourselfBlush .
