Happy Birthday to the A team. Its my DH 61st birthday today as well!!

Chops - kids are so cruel. Dan had a friend in primary & high school who used to say (when called a paki) 'yep thats right my parents are from Pakistan....you need to get over your fears of the colour of my skin!!!!' It worked everytime.

MultipleMama · 02/10/2014 08:51

That's disgraceful and disgusting, from those who called them that and from the school too, Chops. I can't believe the school hasn't done anything about it.

I feel worse today but so much to do. Kids are at school and I'm just having some breakfast at this cute little cafe before going to meet an OT & PT in hopes they're a good fit for Apollo and can takeover his care :)

bubby64 · 03/10/2014 23:03

belated happy birthday to the A team, shabbs dh, and happy anniversary to chops and hubby, it was also our anniversary yesterday. Lots of celebrations going on!

I have been informed today that channel 5 are coming to my work next Thursday to film us as part of a documentary on how a dementia unit should be run. Eeek! I am not photogenic in the slightest, I am overweight, I rarely use makeup or worry about how I look, I limp along and am positively dreading itSad

bubby64 · 03/10/2014 23:05

Sorry trips- just saw uour post, yes, I agree, the poor man was over there helping those peoples children, ffs,!

shabbs · 04/10/2014 08:15

Alan Henning was a taxi driver in the area where I used to go to High school. It seems a million times worse that he was a 'local lad' if that makes any sense? An ordinary man trying to help. The feeling of anger in our area is frightening. What a weird world we live in.

Good morning girls xx

Chopstheduck · 04/10/2014 08:26

bubby64, you will be fine! That's pretty amazing that they are coming to your workplace, you must be doing great things there. Smile I was on the telly again last week, for an nfl football show, was fun! The dts were pretty impressed too.

Terrible news about that hostage :( Poor man, and his poor family.

I had a lovely day yesterday, cycled into London to meet up with dh for an anniversary lunch. Weather was gorgeous. Rather sad that they are saying that was it for summer now.

triplets · 04/10/2014 08:28

He was my first thought when I woke up..............and I have a son going off to the Army soon. It is an evil world out there, does good always conquer evil? Must innocents always pay the ultimate price? Shocking times we live in.

MultipleMama · 04/10/2014 12:06

I don't read the news so I looked it up and I'm disgusted and it's things like this make me loose so much faith in what's left of this world's humanity. So much hate and violence. I hate pictures and I hate the videos. We onlu encourage their egos by showing them. I have so much angry but most of all; I'm sad and tired.

Had my scan yesterday; baby still isn't growing as he should be :(

OP posts:
triplets · 04/10/2014 15:00

Oh Mama such a worry for you.........please no more babies after this one, I am sure I have aged 10 years since you joined us :o
Still cannot stop thinking of that poor man, God the heartbreak in his family right now. How do you tell your child what has happened to their father? It sickens me.
And so the Indian Summer is over.........the promised wind and rain has arrived :(

MultipleMama · 04/10/2014 16:04

This is the last one, we already made that decision before we realised I was already pregnant. To be honest, I'm scared to get pregnant again, I don't want another ill baby as awful as that sounds...

I can't imagine what his family are going through. I dread to think what those children will overhear. It's sickening. I can remember the deaths of James Foley and Steven Sotloff, and now this. How can anyone take a life or watch a life being taken and be proud of it, cheer it, justify it? It's inhumane.

Makes cuppa and goes back to bed..........whats the point when no one will get up........

dd can now make her own b/fast..........she has discovered Pop Tarts...yuk!!

Tra la la ..........what to do? 6.45am and bored already......love Sundays :o

MultipleMama · 05/10/2014 07:07

Morning lovelies! Rise and shine! Up at 5.30am due to both twins being up and having a baby who kept kicking all night Grin. Currently snuggled up with all 6DC waiting for F1 to start while DH is making us pancakes with fresh strawberries. Yum! Smile

Morning ladies.

I was up early too, gonna head out for a run soon.

I went to a russian cafe on Friday, mama - had russian honey cake. God it was lovely! Have you ever made it?

MultipleMama · 05/10/2014 08:31

Delicious isn't it? I've baked it before, although we call it Medovik :) My favourite is Chocolate Ptichye Moloko (bird's milk cake). It's to die for! Smile Cake

Afternoon lovely ladies. Chaos in the soks household as usual. Off to see a friend who has owls shortly.

Chopstheduck · 05/10/2014 15:17

dh had some sort of chocolate layered cake - it had vodka in it! Grin

MultipleMama · 05/10/2014 17:40

Sounds suspiciously like a Kahlua cake Grin

Just back from in-laws. Dinner was lovely and the DC had fun being swug around by Grandpa Grin

I also volunteered to look after my DNs because their mum (who's become bitter and childish) called and suddenly announced she can't have them next weekend because her and her new boyfriend (the asshole who knocked her up when she was still with my BiL) are going on holiday and it's adults only. When we all know it's because her PITA boyfriend doesn't want to touch/look after DN2 because he's "infected". Angry Kids are totally upset and confused Angry.

Good morning, ladies! How's everyone this overcast morning? Hopefully see a little sunshine later!

DC are back at school after a long weekend - who knew that insert days made the weekends drag more!

Enjoying my first caffenated drink in a long while! Spiced pumpkin lattes are best in fall season. So yummy. Today is full of appointments; therapists and "ologists" for both A's today. Should be fun! Hmm

Hi ladies
Cold, wet & windy hereSad
DH sent me some lovely flowers for our wedding anniversary Thursday, & we went out for a curry on Saturday night. Had FinL over yesterday for Sunday lunch yesterday.
Can't wait for my holiday, less than 2 weeks to go, we have been sent a key to the apartment along with directions and a whole load of tourist leaflets as the lady who owns it has just come back from 2 weeks there, boys are getting excited. I have ordered one of those prepaid debit mastercards, as these seem the best way of having our holiday money.
As for the filming on Thursday, I am just going to continue as normal, but I really hate having my picture taken.Sad

slightlyinsane · 06/10/2014 23:02

Evening ladies, happy birthday to those I've missed.

Cold wet and windy here today too Sad
Long miserable week.
I think the twits have some type of milk allergy that we've been going to the drs for, for wks. Last wk they were given soya milk which has a lot of conflicting information on line suggesting that babies shouldn't be given it. The Dr also asked me to see the hv to get them weighed, so I did. The hv was concerned that they have put on too much weight??????? She was more concerned about the smaller twin aswel??? I can't figure that one out. Anyway we've managed to get a pead referral yay!!

The parents were informed that after half term (next wk) that the school will lose a teacher and we will only have 2. Very worried about dd2 she'll be in a horrible class now and I don't think she will be challenged enough. Another reason to move.

Getting a little stressed about Wednesday, this is the day of the final court case for the local nursery. After the sentencing I'm fair game for the husband to take his anger and frustration out on me , previously I've been protected because I am a witness. Sad not looking forward to that.

Hope your weeks are going better.

MultipleMama · 06/10/2014 23:50

Slightly - can't you get a restraining order against him if he does start to take his anger out on you? Wishing all goes well for you. I wouldn't worry too much about your twins' weight unless you know they've not been getting enough milk. DD1 has a milk allergy - she can have dairy products but milk itself makes her ill and vomit. She doesn't like soya either Grin Hoping you get more imformation/reassurance from the referral :)

Urgh. Full of cramp, diarrhea and constipation and I have the ring of fire because of it. TMI I know!. I live such a charmed life BlushHmm

slightly- hope the bloke realises hevwill be in more trouble than its worth if he trys to take revenge.
As for thevtwins milk intolerance, have you thought about goats milk? It worked for my godson.
Just caught dt2 on his phone at almost midnightAngry Silly boy was stupid enough to post on Facebook, so I have messaged him and informed him he is now on yet another xbox ban!

MultipleMama · 07/10/2014 00:20

I 2nd goats milk as a substitute, more digestable, less lactose and softer on a baby's system. There's even a goats milk formula. You could always ask if soya doesn't help xx
