Mama- my heart goes out to you, but, take heart, my Mike had a CCAM, and look at him now!
I told Mike, and he sends you this message " Don't worry, I had to have my lung operated on to remove my CCAM when I was a baby, but I am fine now, my remaining lung has grown to the size of a normals kids, with only the scar to show, and I managed a 10 mile walk yesterday!"

MultipleMama · 27/09/2014 14:02

Bubby, tell him thank you for me. It's just what I needed to hear and something I can remind myself of. I am so pleased for him, 10m is pretty far!! :)

I have my echo soon; looking forward to hearing his little heart :)

Ooh hello slightly! I've just whizzed through for a catch up and missed saying welcome! I have a 6 year old dd, 4 year old ds and dts who are girl /boy and are 2 and a half. Currently they are all eating tea while Joshua (youngest twin) makes some rather interesting and foul sounding bottom noises, and as is the way with small children, giggling at them!

I'm trying to pick my battles with James at the moment ladies. I think I need to regroup and start again. He went to a football group Friday night. Seemed to really enjoy it. And they certainly do run the kids around Grin. He is going back next week. The group is for 3-5 year olds and then they move up to the under 7's and do matches.

Jen is also somewhat suffering at the moment. I think she's either having a growth spurt and/or her hyper mobility is bugging her. She's very weepy and clumsy. Got them all new shoes today though (bit more supportive for Jen) thanks to the 20% tamba discount. Been waiting for it. Paid the same for a proper pair of leather shoes for James as we did the cheapy pair bought when he started school and ruined within a week. Hoping these last longer.

Had a buy a new dress too. Shame! Off to church with dh tomorrow and nothing that was suitable fitted. Everything that fitted was evening wear. 2 hour drive each way for a 1 hour service. But got to be done as its for the charity club dh is in. Kind of looking forward to seeing all the men in their finest.

Alas dh is working all day and this evening too, back around 9. So I'm trying not to shout too much. We're managing ok today. Plenty pf outdoors!

slightlyinsane · 27/09/2014 22:24

Hello everyone. Dd is 6, hopefully I'll remember the tooth tonight.
Thanks for reminding me about the 20% I too need to replace a cheaply pair that lasted a few days. Dd is a blinking nightmare to buy shoes for, 9 1/2 and in the inbetween world of wanting things the older kids have but not being big enough.

Ds is running around upstairs and I'm pretending I can't hear him because I cba to move off the sofa.
My dh is working tonight so taking advantage of the remote Grin

MultipleMama · 27/09/2014 22:57

We tell ours that Mr tooth would say a spell and give them a magical big boy/girl tooth. DH would sprinkle silver fairy dust under his pillow and say it came from his wings... I blame my dad. He was a tight wad and this is what he told me brother and I. Hmm

Enjoy the free remote! I'm sure one of the kids has buried ours because I haven't seen ours for the past 3 days. You enjoying some "me" time?

Almost midnight here, and 2 out of 6 won't bloody sleep or stay sleeping. K is usually a deep, long sleeper but tonight he keeps sneaking into our room to check on Apollo, which then wakes him up. If he comes down again, I'm just gunna bloody let him bed share with us! 5 times since 8pm he's got up. Please, just sleep!

So sorry to hear the crappy news, mama :( Hoping the prognosis is more positive than you initially thought. xx

The dts aren't here this weekend, gone off to the inlaws. Had a lovely day out yesterday, went into London. DD and ds1 went off and mostly wandered around chinatown and the Japenese Matsuri in trafalgar sq. DH and I went to the NFL street party, then we all met up for a posh dinner.

Waiting now for dh to get up - still in bed!!!!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 28/09/2014 08:41

Morning. Quick catch up while kids eat biscuits and dh snores!

Mama. I love that idea! Tight as it may be, when the tooth fairy round here seems to dish out nothing less than a £2 and often a note Shock I'm considering we've got 4dc to go through this so torn between my parents idea (a very shiny 20p for first tooth and shiny 10p for any subsequent) and panicking that what happens when they all discuss the tooth fairy in the playground. Do you think we could get away with saying each child has their own or just skip it completely? They believe in Santa so it's hard to take this away from them.

MultipleMama · 28/09/2014 09:48

I think for us it's more tradition than anything else. K is too smart (or too scientific) for his own good sometimes and I think that steals away some of his childhood. He stopped believing in Santa and the Tooth Fairy at 4 years old. And I kinda feel sad that he's missing that mystical joy.

I'm worried too about what the others will overhear in the playground or what others say to them. I'm dreading the day one of them comes home crying. DH firmly believes we should let them experience everything including beliefs but answer their questions honestly and that anyone has the right to believe in something. So I'm following his lead on this one! Grin

I think you could definately get away with it! My BiL gives his eldest a euro and his youngest a lollipop Grin

Morning,

A note!!!!! Blimey, its only £1 in this house, the worst we've had was a 10 day stretch that cost us £6 and that was bad enough.
Dh still in bed here too, slowly starting to resent his lie ins Envy
In need of some motivation to get the sproglets ready to go shopping Sad I hate shopping with all of them, have to treat myself to a Brew half way through.

The kids have just informed me they only have 2 wks left before half term, how did that come round so quickly???
Enjoy the last day of the weekend ladies

MultipleMama · 28/09/2014 10:27

Mine don't break up until 20th thankfully! Although they do have a German Unity day on 3rd so they're off next Friday. I swear they make some of these holidays up!

I Envy all who have lie ins. I miss them. Sucks to have such early risers in the house!

Any plans today?

Just waiting on Artie to finish destroying the house then off on our walk to the in laws for dinner :)

1/2 term starts here on the 24th, but, as we go away on the 18th the boys have 4 days extra. I spent a lazy morning reading in bed, then got a roast dinner, and soon going to get ready to go to work.
The boys got their X box's back for the weekend yesterday after they had done all their homework, they have become square eyed again, so I am having to leave it to dh to remove the hard drives again for the week.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 28/09/2014 19:00

I wouldn't have believed it if mum hadn't confirmed it herself. Think it might have to be the 'family' tooth fairy which visits. Although Biggest is 6 and showing no sign of Wobblies yet.

Didn't go to church in the end. Dh woke with a stinker of a headache so we had a more gentle day. 'Twas lovely. Photographed some of the old baby bits and il's and put them on Facebook selling pages. Anything has to be better than the fiasco which is ebay these days. Then did Emily's show and tell with her ready for Wednesday. It's about hobbies this term so she's talking about Rainbows. Taking her uniform and everything! Then did some dinosaur digging with james. My parents got him one of those blocks with the mini mallet and chisel. It's got two plastic dinos in and took dh the best part of 2 hours to chip 1 out.

MultipleMama · 28/09/2014 20:44

K lost his around 5 year old when he took a nose dive into the fridge Grin

I have my first shot of steroids tomorrow to see if we can slow these nasty cysts!

K fell asleep in our bed tonight (he slept in ours last night after waking Apollo again! Hmm) and I don't have the heart to take him upto his bed. It's actually nice to have my baby back he's become such an independant child lately. He's like Kevin from home alone!

MultipleMama · 29/09/2014 11:40

Steroid shot done. Hoping it slows the CCAM while boosting his size and lungs (another IUGR baby Sad, only this time it's asymmetrical). Back tomorrow for another shot and then we wait. I can no longer have my homebirth though and may have to have a dreaded ELCS. I also booked us a tour around the NICU, our consultant has made us appointments with the pediatric surgeon and neonatologist at our 26 week scan.

Time for food and a trip to the soft play centre!

How's your day been going ladies? :)

Chopstheduck · 02/10/2014 07:45

Happy birthday to the A team!! Hope you feel better soon xx

Been rather stressful here - the dts have been getting called 'pakis' at school. I have a thread on here somewhere about it, been getting lots of advice. It has been a nightmare, school are NOT handling it well.

On the plus side tho, I got a place in the London marathon!!! Eeeek!!!
Only thing is though, when I applied I was running 10k every sunday. I had a injury in August which is still niggling me, so god knows if I will be ready in time. DT1 wants to know if I can beat Mo Farah, I'm wondering if I can sneak my bike in!

triplets · 02/10/2014 08:15

Chops Shock that is awful, school need to stamp on that and an apology is needed, appalling.
Lovely morning here, sunny, warm.........:)
