Oh how was the party, did the double D`s have a good day?

MultipleMama · 14/09/2014 22:57

Party was manic. FiL burnt the quorn sausages, MiL dropped a plate of cupcakes which the dog decided to eat. But by 5pm they were all pooped out and ended up walking home with 6 sleeping DC so dog piled them in Donkey stroller Blush. The boys had such a great time and have faces covered in chocolate :) Gotta go back tomorrow to collect the presents the GPs went overboadd with...

Morning. Sorry for the prolonged absence. James starting school has had a major impact at home. Although (happily??) he's now starting to show his true colours at school a little more and hit a boy today with his book bag right in front of the head teacher. James' reasoning was unclear but the usual tantrum ensued as a result of trying to get him to say sorry. This happens when he doesn't actually think his action was unjustified. If it's accidental he's really good at apologies.

Mama. I hope Ivan is recovering well now. Such a scare I should think. As for the party, sounds like great fun was had by all :)

MultipleMama · 15/09/2014 21:32

So K informed me that he's not happy that I am only carrying one baby brother, and even though I told him that mummy's baby system doesn't always make two babies, he just looked at me very sternly and said, "well, your womb, and eggs, and cells smell of poop!" and then stormed off to complain to DH Grin That is one weird child!

Bless him, Soks. How did the school handle his reaction?

How old is he???

MultipleMama · 16/09/2014 00:40

K? He was 6 on 3rd Sept :)

Minisoksmakehardwork · 16/09/2014 12:21

School didn't handle it mama. I did. Technically was still before school. But they've shrugged it off as one of those things dc do at their age. Not sure they do it to that extreme but hey...

Today he had to be prised off me. The only way I could get him out of the door was to agree he didn't have to go. So I told him ok.

Jennifer and Joshua have gone to preschool fine though. They love picking up every. single. conker we can find on the way to and from school and preschool - today they'll walk each way 4 times :) am giving Jennifer a bag when we go to fetch the bigs. Josh is content with one in each hand. Jen wants all of them.

Chopstheduck · 17/09/2014 07:42

I like Brighton. Liked the cobbled shopping street and love seaside towns - reminds me of where I grew up.

soks all I can say is you are not alone :( It's so common to have those differences between home and school. Just keep a diary and record everything. Glad J & J are doing well Smile

Manged to burn poor Shay's arm. We were cooking, and the dts love helping. He was making salad or something, chopping on a board on the counter, and I was frying off stuff for fajitas. The pan was far too hot, and spat out oil when I put in the ingredients. Lovely burn on his forearm the size of a silver dollar. Been dressing it, but school aren't taking it seriously at all. One teacher told him he should leave it uncovered and another kid poked it so it burst. Angry I like the break, but I hate them going back to school. they become antsy, fighty, stressed, weepy. Will be so bloody glad when they leave that school.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 17/09/2014 08:09

Omfg! What a night! Dh's retort of now I know what he feels like every morning didn't help. It's not my fault he chooses not to sleep until the witching hour when james starts waking up.

Last night three of them started around 1am, general unsettledness building up to a crescendo of screaming and physical fighting! Then very slowly calming back down into fidgeting and wailing. Jennifer finally gave up around half 4 and passed out in a heap on our bed. All three if the youngest though! How Emily slept through I have no idea. I was biting my tongue not to scream and shout back at them and tell them to shut the flip up.

So today when all I really want to do is go back to bed is hair cut and colour day (desperately needed and at least it's some me time) followed by an after school pta meeting. Which I usage to attend as a family are attempting a coup and trying to take over two of 3 key positions on the committee. It's so unbelievably wrong that they could be allowed to do this so I'm planning on asking the difficult questions like where in the pta constitution does it state it's allowed, and what happens when they constantly vote in agreement against anything they don't like. Bloody playground politics.

MultipleMama · 17/09/2014 13:05

Do bloody right to ask them difficult questions and don't stand for those roundabout answers if they try to avoid answering them!

I haven't had a hair cut since before the A-team were born, it's as long as my hips and it's probably all split ends haha. And I've noticed my hair has now stopped growing!

How are the DC today after a rough night, Soks?

Had a growth scan on Monday and they want me back in 2 weeks as he's grown but not as much as they'd had hoped.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 17/09/2014 20:42

Woo hoo! Thankfully I didn't have to ask those questions - possibly because I mentioned to another committee mum I didn't think it appropriate so by the time the meeting came round, the outgoing (and re-elected) chair stated the committee couldn't consist of two or more people from one household as it was a conflict of interests. Some mutterings but the twins were kicking off so I didn't stay beyond seeing who else was being vote on to committee.

Zzzzzz off to beddy byes now.

MultipleMama · 18/09/2014 00:54

Glad things turned out, Soks :)

Ivan is being released tomorrow on strict bedrest and has to have follow-up appointments but he'a already complaining and talking about going back to work; and people wonder where I get it from! Grin

Unable to sleep, Apollo has his first post-op appointment today and I'm anxious and nervous unlike DH who is passed out with Artie on his chest. I envy how he's able to sleep through his feelings! It's gunna be weird being home alone.

I spent the evening caring for a poorly hedgehog!!

dd found him on her paperound, only a youngster, hypothermic and dehydrated. The RSPCA finally fetched him at around 9pm, by which time he was looking a lot more perky after a sit on a hot water bottle, being spoonfed water and cat food! The kids named him Marley and he will be off for a winter of pampering before a spring release.

triplets · 18/09/2014 07:59

wish I was a hedgehog.........sounds bliss :)

MultipleMama · 18/09/2014 08:17

Where can I sign up for pampering?!

So... I am home alone. No husband, no children (except the dog), no relatives visitung. Peace and quiet. And I am already bored! Undecided whether to go shopping, have a lazy day or be productive...

MultipleMama · 18/09/2014 08:46

K, A and the boys are at school and DH is taking Apollo to his post op appointment in Berlin and has took Artie along for the rise :)

Morning x

MultipleMama · 18/09/2014 17:31

Well, today was fun. I called up my BiL who should be working and asked him, well begged, him to take a break for a while and go swimming with me - I had a blast, it was so nice but I kept glancing round like I was missing a child Grin I then went shopping and bought some new underwear and a new black dress that should stretch over my non exsistent bump!

DH looks haggered! So I'm guessing Apollo wasn't in a good mood; I wouldn't be if people kept prodding me either! He's had a bunch of scans done which we and his cardiologist will recieve in 3-4 days other than that they are very pleased with his recovery and have transferred his care back to his cardiologist :) Apparently Artie charmed the whole staff :)

Hiya Rubester....good to see you.

My friend Chelle is going darn Sarff tomorrow till Sunday night!! Her daughter (amazing young woman) is living in Crawley. Her equally amazing boyfriend has been working on border control at Gatwick. Has now been accepted by the police force in London!!! Grin Chelle has never been further than Wales and she is so excited.

My friend is an amazing mum. She really has 'done it by herself' two amazing children and its all down to her. Their Dad has 'been around' but its my friend who has put in years and years of hard work.

The worst part of my best friends adventure is that I get to look after her cat..... I am petrified of cats, totally and utterly petrified.....her cat is already sharpening her claws and staring at me LOL.

Chopstheduck · 19/09/2014 06:59

I often think of FG :( I loved her, she is so wise and really helped me through some difficult times. I wonder if mars is still in touch with her?

shabs - dh is petrified of cats too! I've never known anyone else to be scared like that. He won't walk past one, and I've known him to pelt down the street when one jumped out near him! Grin

I am so glad it is friday!
