Bubs, Apollo is just the same but thankfully they removed almost all of his lines/tubes etc today, tomorrow they're hopefully going to remove his arterial line but keep his last central line in along with the other crap, but he settled easier tonight as I could rock him and comfort him. We're trying feeding tomorrow too! :)

Great to here your hard work is getting noticed/rewarded to just by the familya but by your management. The advisor sounded like she didn't know what she's doing! She sounds patronising Hmm hope you have better look next time and with someone who actually gives you useful advice!

So nice to sleep beside DH again. As sloppy as it sounds I missed him and his hugs like crazy!!

Chopstheduck · 23/08/2014 08:45

Oh bubby! After such a long wait. I bet you felt like kicking her! Reward charts, seriously?!

Nope, not got to London :( THought we might go in for the carnival tomo, but dh doesn't seem keen and I did book a spot on a 25 mile group cycle ride, so I think I might just stick with that instead!

mama, sounds like apollo is doing soo well! He'll be back home before you know it :)

MultipleMama · 23/08/2014 11:10

So apparently Artie took up walking while we were gone! Shock She's speeding down these hallways like she's been walking for months! Still prefers to hold mama's hand though so she's still my baby Grin.

K, A and the boys start school next week and I'm going to miss it :( DH has shifted his hours about so he can take and pick them up and GP have agreed to pick the boys up in the afternoons.

Apollo will have his A line removed in an hour and the moved to the pedatric ward - the final move! :)

I can't wait til we're back home, chops! :)

Next week is busy! DH has just informed me that when he went to the open night with the DC on Thursday, the parent/s have to be present on the child's first day of school as they have a ceremony for the DC on stage plus othet stuff. DH informed the school about Apollo but they said it would benefit the child to have a parent there. I'm gunna go into school Tues at 9-10.30 for K and then spend 2 hours at the boys toddler school on Thursday. DH can't get the days of work so it would be me going as the Grandparents aren't allowed. So I will be flying Tues early morning and returning Tues early evening, and then fly Thurs early morn and retuen again - this all depends on when Apollo is released or not. Wish me luck Grin [there needs to be a stressed face!]

Morning girls.

Another day in paradise

Dan, Em & Lew camping in the Lake District with all their friends. Sounds like they are having a great time.

MultipleMama · 24/08/2014 21:58

Walking around the ward with Apollo in the stroller [first time ever! I blame the pain meds for making him too slack to care Grin !] because this boy refuses to fall asleep but the lovely nurses provided me with a portable heart monitor to sit in the stroller basket. - I was supposed to leave the ward an hour ago but Apollo has just been screaming the place down everytime he was put down or handled by them so they had no choice but to let me stay until he falls asleep or let me sleep in the chair Grin

Peeing it down.........bored stiff..........kids in bed.........dk in my kitchen making jam ffs!!!!! Somebody come and whisk me away.................

shabbs · 25/08/2014 11:57

Peeing down, freezing cold. My mate Chelle is supposed to be having a big barbecue party for her daughter today. Daughter was 25 a few days ago. She has moved to Crawley with her boyfriend - both working darn Sarf!! They have come home for the holiday weekend.

So the party is going ahead - but inside LOL - Chelle is the youngest of 7 kids and they are all coming with their spouses and a minimum of about 30 of their kids. Somebody shoot me now LOL!!

MultipleMama · 25/08/2014 12:31

Sounds like you're having fun ladies! 30 kids wow Shock

I am a really lazy day! Apollo has either been sleeping or eating and I've been just reading and eating like a horse Grin DH however has been running like a headless chicken getting the DC's school stuff ready!

On allergy watch this weekend. Joshua came up in horrific patches of hives Saturday. Took him to ooh where gp made me feel as small as an ant - I knew it was a reaction, but I didn't know to what and as it's the first time, and he was covered, he needed to be seen. Said he wouldn't even bother giving antihistamine! (I'd already given him some). Same thing happened again yesterday! Similar foods too. Nothing so far today (fingers crossed) and hoping not as we've worked out Joshua got very, very grumpy with it and antihistamine made him bounce off the walls - he was worse than James and that's saying something. Although dh said he reacts to an active ingredient in nytol and piriton has one which is effectively the same with a different name.

MultipleMama · 26/08/2014 11:59

How are you getting on with Joshua, Soks? Any more reactions?

So, my baby has officially started school! Just seeing him in a school uniform made him look so grown up; it's unfair! He walked on stage so proud as he accepted his first grade certificate - I on the otherhand cried like a baby. Really lovely ceremony to have and his home teacher is really nice and dashingly handsome Grin. I was the proudest mama there! Aubrey starts school tomorrow and then the boys Thursday. Where have my babies gone?!

OP posts:
shabbs · 26/08/2014 19:06

Over 30 kids between 7 different couples Mamma Hmm lol

MultipleMama · 26/08/2014 20:58

I hope you survived with your sanity intact, Shabs! Oh God I hope that's not how my house will love in 20 years Confused serves myself right!

Finally back in Berlin. Apollo is actually sleeping... makes me wonder if they piled him with sleeping pills! Hmm Grin So I am back in this lonely room with a cup of hot chocolate.

DH called me after putting A to bed apparently she's been freaking out and crying when DH left her sight and throwing tantrums saying she doesn't want to go to school and cried herself to sleep - which is going to trigger a night terror. I think her seperation anxiety is rearing it's ugly head again Sad

I have some excellent news; Apollo is being discharged in the morning!!! Well, if his doctor agrees and signs off on it! Eek!!

OP posts:
MultipleMama · 27/08/2014 07:20

Packing!!! Grin Doctor is going to sign off on his release when he does his round at 9am and give me the prescription for some strong pain relief. Today, he's a lively little thing! Kicking his legs and playing more furiously with his dragon toy! :)

DH will be taking to A school this very minute and I hate that I'm missing it and her :(

OP posts:
Minisoksmakehardwork · 27/08/2014 20:36

No more lumpy bumps. But he does keep telling me he's sick - proper hypochondriac there methinks.

Hope you're home safe and sound mama, and ready for another round of school tomorrow. James starts next week. I can tell he's getting unsettled again as he's hyper and sneaking into our bed in the early hours every night the last few.

MultipleMama · 27/08/2014 21:32

Home and snuggled in bed with a movie and high on pain meds baby! Grin

K could not stop talking about school but he got told off for speaking out of turn and telling another child to "sush" when she talked during story time. Grin.

When DH picked them up, A's home teacher pulled him aside and expressed how quiet and unsocial A was throughout the day and wouldn't participate. DH stayed with her for an hour and she was laughing and playing with toys with another girl. She's been clingy since I got in. I don't know what to do...

Glad your munchkin is bump free! Bless his cotton socks!

OP posts:
Chopstheduck · 28/08/2014 07:45

Morning girls x

I think it is early days, and with everything going on with Apollo, I don't think it is surprising she is being a little clingy. I'm sure she will soon settle in, given a bit of time.

I can't wait now for the kids to go back to school. I haven't been able to run for the past few weeks (achilles tendonitis), so without the time for me to destress, I'm getting less and less patient with them! I need to get back to the gym. Weather isn't helping neither, summer seems well and truly over!

triplets · 28/08/2014 08:36

Morning Chops............thick mist and drizzle..........so feel cheated! Off to Tesco as we have half a loo roll between two loos!! God life is soooooo exciting at times Hmm

MultipleMama · 28/08/2014 08:38

That's what DH thinks too. We're moving next week too, so there's a lot of changes going on but hopefully everything will settle down and she comes out of her shell at nursery. DH has taken her and K to school, while I watch the twins overwhlem their teacher. Dieter has become a little shy and so is talking in nothing but German for comfort. :)

Chops, isn't their supposed to be some Spanish weather system heading your way. So you may have a bit of summer left! Grin

Bliss. A lie in. Well, not a lie in but no bouncing 4yo to wake everyone up! He's at nana and grandad's for the last time until the next school holiday. Nana and grandad are so going to miss him.

Off to Emily's friend's birthday party shortly. Glad I thought to be semi organised and sort present and clothes last night. The party starts an hour earlier than I thought it did and I've had to bath all the stinky children this morning!

MultipleMama · 28/08/2014 10:33

Soks, so Envy of your lie-in. Must be lovely! Hope Emily has a brill time at the party! :)

Back home and left the boys causing choas and mayhem. They kept holding each other's hand too [adorable]. DH is doing the pick up so me and the A-team are home alone until 4pm. The house feels like bliss! Grin reminds me of the times when I just had K & A :)

OP posts:
Chopstheduck · 28/08/2014 12:04

hmm, I need loo roll too. On the last roll both upstairs and downstairs. What exciting lives we lead! Grin

I have some good news! DS1's DLA has been reviewed, and we have been awarded MRC and LRM. it's less than he was getting, and we won't be entitled to a car any more, but I think it is a fair decision and it means I can claim carers again and we are due for a back dated lump sum which we can put away for when the old banger packs in.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 28/08/2014 16:54

Party was great. Didn't see Emily expect when she came to get a drink or came to eat her dinner. Twins played reasonably happily in toddler section of soft play while I thoroughly avoided hovering over them like a helicopter :)

Have come home and probably given myself a reputation as the horrid woman down our road though. Dh and I agreed not to spend any money fencing our front off as we're not planning on staying here. But I've out some little shrubs down the sides to mark ours and make it easier for me to keep our front tidy (next door one side do nothing!) so today, yet again I'm asking the kids not to jump over my shrubs when one little delight treads on them - quite deliberately and carries on even when I said his name loudly several times. Don't think his grandma was too impressed when I frogmarched him back to her and explained exactly why she had heard me raise my voice to him. She wasn't even that bothered either AngryAngry. Would love to be able to move to where people gave a shit about their homes and looked after things. It wasn't like this when we moved in but unfortunately a tough market has meant many homes have become rental when the owners have moved on.

MultipleMama · 28/08/2014 20:06

I would have been so mad too, Soks, if little shits were jumping on my plants, on my property. I'd be tempted to give him a click round ear 'ole, as my dear mother would do say. Glad yours had a good time at the party :)

So DH and I have decided to scrap the drop off/pick up because it looks like it's gunna cause more hassle. We'd have to either buy more car seats (and later a bigger company car) or keep swapping seats which isn't possible. What's gunna happen is; I'm going to do both (like an hour and half each drop off! Shock) and DH is going to cook dinner and walk the dog, and run me a bubble bath every Friday Grin Someone please remind me to look at schools closer to our home next time!! Hmm

I can say this though; when Apollo's pain medication wears off. He's like the devil's child!
