D`ya ever its worth going to bed?

  1. I should not have eaten a large portion of fish n chips drank half a bottle of wine late at night.
  1. Mother of all thunderstorms and deluge of rain between 1-2.30am
  1. Boy next door had a party until 3am, kids dancing in the rain.
  1. Up at 4.15am to get James off, he was picked up at 5.15am.
  1. Now wide awake, Thomas needs to be up at 6.30am to do his paper round, he is shattered after the last two days.

Now what shall I do??

Chopstheduck · 02/08/2014 08:01

Wow, well done Thomas! GrinGrin You must be soo proud of him, trips! What job role exactly did he choose to do?

Hope you feel better soon, mama x

I had broad bean and aubergine curry last night. Love broad beans.

Off to sportfest today! Should be fun, though only picked up the eldest two from camp last night, so ds1 especially is still tired. He reeked too - don't think he had showered all week. They had a lovely time though.

triplets · 02/08/2014 15:42

Well he has opted for The Princess of Wales Regiment, rifleman in the Infantry. We dont want him to do that but hes hell bent. Just hope when they get him to Harrogate they may channel his energy in another direction!

MultipleMama · 02/08/2014 18:31

My friend's husband is a sniper in the Russian army and he says it's one of the most mental and physical challenging career choices. And I'm sure Rifleman is up there also; he'll learn alot and maybe he'll realise it's not for him or maybe it is. Must be so hard for you to just accept his choice especially one that means handling more than a rifle. You must have fears! Would it help ease your mind reading testiments of soilders who are riflemen or scare you me? I bet your proud of him regardless :) Lets hope Harrogate exploits more options for him :) What was his first option?

Finally home and in bed with a pile of Disney dvds and bed hogging with my beautiful kids :)

DH is heavy handed with a needle! My poor butt has a bruise from his excitment to stab me Hmm

Glad to be in my own bed. Still feeling very tired with a little bit of a headache and my throat is sore but overall, I'm just happy to be home and cuddling with a bed full of children even A has joined us after we woke her. I love this content feeling.

Trips- you must be so proud but also so worried about your boys, what does your dd want to do?
Mama- will this latest scare finally get you to SLOW DOWN!!!
Soks- glad you got some things done, even if it wasn't as you planned
Shabbs- hope you are feeling better
Chops - when my 2 got back from camp, their wash things hadn't been touched all week, I expect yours will be the same!
Well, things a little better here in the end, this week we took the boys swimming and to the wildlife park, James has finally made a good friend, who invited him to go to the cinema Friday to see the new Marvel film for his birthday, J was so pleased, and this kid's mum said he was so well behaved and polite that he was a credit to us and DH took Mike out to town for the afternoon, leaving me time to get on with this vourse work. (by the way, work asked me to attend the initial session for this course, and thats wherevi foundbout anout the fees, I could have walked out, but it would have been very awkward to do so, really didn't have a lot of choice)
We also took the boys and dog's to the beach today, to get rid of some energy for all 5 of them, then gish n chips and a nice bottle of rose to wind down with.
Back to work tomorrow night, this week together has gone so fast!
by the way, J is still keeping the identity nof his girlfriend secret from M, and it's driving M madWink
She has been texting J from Florida, and he has been texting back, but her mum has just found out and gone
ballistic over the bill!!

MultipleMama · 03/08/2014 00:55

Happy you had a good weekend, bubs. I remember my first text messages to DH and the size of my phone bill, my mum was not impressed! Glad your boys had a good time and making friends! I'm Envy of J seeing the new Marvel film though! Grin

What I was doing before was slowing down! It was actually a pretty normal routine for us but the PG has just intensified things. I'd love to slow down more but it's impossible at the present time. Next month, after we've bought the house and the DC are in school and Apollo's surgery and recovering is over then I'll slow down more! Grin

Through the mist of all the chaos and my head in the toilet. I completely forgot about my mum's birthday which was on Wednesday. I never called my dad and told him I loved him like I do every year. I feel ao awful. My mum knew she was dying and she lived with so much gusto in those final months. She even planned her own funeral and paid for it. She always was strong and stubborn. This song was play at funeral; youtu.be/U4yRsT_fPic Happy belated birthday, mother. I love you and miss you.

Morning girls..........beautiful here again. Had a lovely evening on the beach last night with the book club girls, our annual poetry evening, loads of food and wine of course :) Then we went to Rosies at 10pm and sat by candle light in honour of our fallen soldiers. Mama that song is quite beautiful, don`t feel guilty please, take it as a sign of healing its what Mum would want xx
Wheres that Rubester these days?

Minisoksmakehardwork · 05/08/2014 14:43

Oh mama. You've got so much going on at the moment I'm sure your dad understands.

Chaos here as usual. Although I did blow up the inflatable activity centre. It's only been in the shed ooooooh 2 or 3 years!! Twins loved bouncing on it. As did James, although not at the same time. It was my attempt (failed) at occupying the children so i could tidy ready for visitors this evening. Alas the one day I could really do with someone else keeping an eye on the bigs out front, everyone else has booted their dc out and disappeared back in. So I'm unofficial mum to them all. It is one of the things I love about our road though. Most of the parents will watch out for all the children.

MultipleMama · 05/08/2014 18:05

I've been a crying, snotty mess these past couple of days and I have no idea if it's exhaustion or hormones, either way it's annoying and I'm already sick of having a needle stuck in bottom.

OP posts:
triplets · 05/08/2014 23:29

Complete exhaustion Mama.............xx

triplets · 06/08/2014 09:51

Throwing it down and blowing a hoolie, me dont like...........bored.......could get on with some much needed house work.....but me dont like :o

shabbs · 06/08/2014 09:53

Morning girls......persisting down here as well Trips - a typical Manchester day!!

MultipleMama · 06/08/2014 11:26

Feeling really good today, I feel like I have more energy and I'm not feeling as exhausted or fatigued more like I'm just tired. Which is great because I've managed to actually eat a decent sized breakfast and get dressed with make-up and everything Grin. BlueA has an appt at 2pm so I may drop the DC of at their GPs for the afternoon as they've been dying to have them again and it means less stress for me.

Weather not bad today about 20 degrees, so I don't envy the English weather!

Also proud mama moment; Apollo smiled for the first time ever!! :) :) He was taking a bath and I splaahed him with water. He's smiled twice since then. Does that mean I'm getting a happy baby?! Haha Grin He's still not a supported sitter though...

How are you lovely ladies doing today? :)

Minisoksmakehardwork · 06/08/2014 13:19

Well the expected downpour of a day is not here yet. Beautiful day here and I'm slopping around in jeans. Too warm! Hoping the rain will come soon. Garden is parched.

bubby64 · 06/08/2014 16:09

Chucked it down here this morning, blazing sun this afternoon. I took the boys fishing yesterday, he first time this year, they went for quantity over size and were happy catching lots of little perch, pulling them out at a rate of one every 10 minutes, their keepnets were full, and they had big grins all over their facesGrin

MultipleMama · 06/08/2014 16:16

Ahhh, exciting news!!! We sign the contracts and transfer the rest of the money for the new house tomorrow, and if there's no hiccups with the Notar registering the sale and payment we MAY be able to pick up the keys next week!!!

What do you call those people who are in charge of decorating the house, and plumbing and kitchen stuff?! 'cause we need one! Grin

Congratulations Mama and so glad you are feeling better :) I have just sat and watched all 4 episodes of Long Lost Family.............oh my, how sad and lovely at the same time. Those featured are just the tip of the iceberg, how many many mothers and fathers had to hand over and walk away from their babies...........so so sad.

triplets · 07/08/2014 07:48

Morning all.........woken up at 6.20am by our neighbour putting out his bins and forgotten we hadnt done ours. Chucked on an over sized shirt and flew out hoping the neighbours didnt see me! Lovely morning again, feel the summer is flying by all too quickly. Missing being on holiday, all those lovely nights out, we come home and its back to the old routine, we never go out in the evenings together and its such a shame as we are 5 mins walk from the beach with a nice pub at the end. Dh will not budge after 6pm. Need to start doing more things on my own, feel its such a waste of life. Hmm..........

MultipleMama · 07/08/2014 13:17

Afternoon Trips :)

I feel your pain about wasted evenings! You could for walks alone along the beach and have some "me" time, do they have a karaoke night, that would be fun with friends Grin

A little cloudy today but it's supposed to be sunny tomorrow so I wanna do something with the DC but I'm not sure what... I might take them swimming at the lake and have a little picnic. I want to take advantage as BlueA has preop appts all next week so we will be busy, busy, busy. I haven't said anything but BlueA's heart hasn't been doing well due to his Mitral valve regurgitation, they say he's close to heart failure. So his OHS has to go ahead.

Ladies, do you know of any family orientated resorts? I'm wanting to go away next August. They'll be my brood of 7, my brother and his 2, my dad and my little bro, and Ivan and Petrov. Is it even possible?! Hmm

Car trouble. I wanna bang my head against the wall!!! Keeps juddering and cutting out and the stupidest moment without any warning at all, called out breakdown, and they checked the reader and checked the engine, test drove it and everything and it worked perfectly, 10 minutes after it left, it starts up again, managed to finally get home from signing the contracts, after 7 stalls Angry, in which the glow plug light kept flashing just before it cut out so now I have to find the time to take the car to the garage so they can find out what the hell is wrong with it. So I either carry on driving a death trap with 6DC, use DH's 5 seater company car, use public transport or walk... going to call the GPs and see if the can stay with the DC while I attend appts etc in DH's car but means they'd have to walk or get a bus/taxi to ours as I can't pick them up. I just want to bang my head against the wall. Repeatedly.

Found a moment of spare time before I head to bed as I am pooped!

Today has been like whiplash, good news, bad news, good news, bad news, and now finally ending on some good news. On Monday, my little brother officially moves in with my dad and we will be visiting him in October. Ivan has met him and we've skyped/called enough that the SW is happy, so yeah :) :) Oh and my confirmation letter came through; gender scan booked for 9th. DH wants another girl!

OP posts:
triplets · 08/08/2014 07:46

Mama............you exhaust me just reading your posts!! Hope the bad news wasnt too bad. Your life is never dull that's for sure!! What a lot of rain we had y/day, it wasnt forecast but in the afternoon it lashed it down for over two hours, never seen rain like it, my gutters couldn't cope so it was like a waterfall. We sat moaning watching the tv when and appeal came on about the Sudan needing fresh water, children dying...............made me feel awful that we are always going on about our weather. We are so lucky to live in England. James will be home from camp tomorrow, hes phoned twice and each time hasnt really told us much, hes yet to master the art of conversation, something Im told I don`t have a problem with :o

triplets · 09/08/2014 00:10

and more rain, its coming down so hard my gutters can`t cope...........we are supposed to be getting the tail end of a hurricane..........wellies at the ready :o

Hah haa just corrected a typo.........I spelt wellies willies !!!
