Hey bubs, those walks sound like a good idea! I hope the boys learn to behave soon. They need a clip 'round ear 'ole as my mum would say Grin

2.15am and working on some editing while everyone is sleeping. Gotta clock in 18 hours before Friday afternoon. Urgh.

Morning girls!

glad you had a good holiday, trips x

well done James! Grin

Boys LOVED the cookery course last week - made bread, falafel burgers, noodles, all sorts.

Off to football training today. Nice 7 mile ride there, then I can go for a run while they do footy. Older two are away at camp, no doubt having a fab time.

triplets · 29/07/2014 08:08

Hi Bubbs and Chops was wondering where you were, busy busy busy time these school holidays isn`t it? Thomas has just gone off in a huff, I got a phone call from school last week whilst sunbathing asking him to go in two mornings this week as he still had course work to be completed for his b-tech sport. He was there 5 hours y/day and prob another two today. He barged into my bedroom before 7.30am and said he would do it on the laptop and email it. I said no he specifically said you need to go in, it has all got to be finished this morning and he needs to speak to you. Door slam..........exit! Had a row with dk y/day so guess its back to normal.

bubby64 · 29/07/2014 10:37

Morning All
Mama- I have also got to get some work done, Work have put me down for a course (without checking with me first, mind you), and if I don't finish it in time i have to pay the fee of £168, as if I haven't got enough to do!
Chops- All sounds very energetic - J wants to do a cookery course- he got really good marks in home economics and enjoys cooking a lot, but all the ones I've seen are either aimed at younger kids or adult's, nothing in between.

Trips - back to normal is right! i had this conversation with this morning eith M whilst I am picking clean clothes mixed with dirty washing off his bedroom floordrobe
"Mum, what are we doing today?"
"Dad and I thought we would go to Mersea Island nature reserve to walk with the dogs so they can play on the beach, you can both come if you like"
"but thats soooooooo boring, can't we go somewhere fun!"
"I am rewarding good behaviour, and the dogs have been really good, unlike some ungrateful boys"
Queue muttering, slam of a bedroom door and me walking away feeling smug - was I wrong!

MultipleMama · 29/07/2014 11:15

Bubs - I didn't know they could do that with you without telling you first. What if you hadn't the time or money? Quite insensitive of them!

Didn't go to bed until 5am and managed to edit a good bit which I'm gunna go over again, twice regardless Hmm

Had blood tests this morning, and they'll ring me in 2 days with the results but from what they've said I need to see a Haematologist before my 20w scan. The hospital was great and the staff was brilliant at entertaining the kids!

Toddler school appt at 1.30 so hoping the kids nap in the car or before we go!

Oh and the vet confirmed that the dog had eaten something bloody that didn't agree with him and that's what he'd thrown up. Silly dog.

Chopstheduck · 29/07/2014 13:51

bubby - the tesco courses go up to 13, not sure how old your boys are now?

MultipleMama · 30/07/2014 01:25

Ahhh, the twins are now accepted into toddler school!! They start on the 25th August. And will attend 8 while 2.30 Shock but when figuring things out, they'll need to be dropped off at 7.45 (so daycare til 8) as the daycare is 20 mins away from the K&A's school which starts at 8.20.

I got to have a look round and was massively impressed with what they offer and what they teach. Great outdoor area, and different themes throughout, all food his hand prepared in their kitchen. Very happy so I don't mind the longish commute.

Threw up my guts, tonight. Trying to fit in some editing between drinking water and throwing up. I'd try and sleep but every time I lie down I feel nauseous (I need to find my sickbands!) and dizzy :(

Morning all..........woke up early as usual feeling full up, didnt eat that much last night.........so no b/fast for me. Got to get Thomas packed and sorted this morning, feel he hasnt prepared himself for whats to come! From what I hear the final assessment for the Army is tough stuff. I can`t do anymore for him. Brighter start to the day after the grey clouds of the last two days. Hope you got some sleep Mama and feel better, what is it you are editing?

triplets · 30/07/2014 22:42

Was it something I said? Where for art thou all??
Busy busy day, packing Thomas up for his great adventure, then had 4 girlfriends round for tea in my shed as it was Lisas birthday. Made chocolate fudge cake, lemon drizzle cake, devonshire scones with clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam and flapjacks........delicious!! Up at 4am to see Thomas off, I am really not sure how hell do, I think hell be k on the physical stuff but am worried about his confidence to speak in front of strangers, well see. Kale Nits everyone..............if you`re there!! xx

Night Trips

Ive been just lurking Smile

Got snot and very high temperature.... another day in piggin' paradise!!

MultipleMama · 30/07/2014 23:49

Super busy day, with a super sick mama :( I had so much to do, but kept throwing up every time I went dizzy, which was basically every time I stood up. Had to pull over twice while making at 20 minute journey into town so I could throw up. I'm exhausted, sweating, coughing, throwing up, my eyes and ears are so sensitive and I'm now light-headed :( Managed 4 hours of editing last night, went to bed at 4am, was up at 6am with the DC. And now I'm still awake now, bfing while sitting next to the toilet bowl... DH bless his heart is running me another bath while settling Artie and is then making some tea for my stomach and a bagel because I've had half a bowl of soup and a few cherries today.

Trips - I was editing a novella (now finished and sent back to author and publisher), and I still have 2 novels, and a video to edit all by tomorrow...

You know that feeling right before you vomit, getting that feeling now. Urgh. Night ladies! xxx

Morning ladies..........yes note the time! Been up since 4am to get dh and Thomas off. He looked so grown up all of a sudden, he was nervous I could tell and gave me quite a hug as he left. Now I cant go back to sleep, have to go clean my brothers house for him today as he has family coming, then get James packed and sorted as he is off to Brize Norton for a weeks camp, he has to be in Folkestone at 5.45am tomorrow morning! On top of that dhs family, the "Wiganites" are coming at 4pm today for a cuppa, all 7 of them!! Mama you must be sooo exhausted, I just dont know how you stay upright, I hope this sickness soon passes, its horrible isn`t it? I was constantly sick the first 18 weeks with my three, lost so much weight. Fascinated about you editing what books are they, I am looking for a good book club read! Do you proof read?

MultipleMama · 31/07/2014 06:52

Note the time too! Grin Morning! One lousy hour of constant tossing and turning, and I would love to go back to sleep but Alas the boys are up, bf and are now demanding to play outside before breakfast.... and I just heard K run down the hall to wake A up. Wonderful Hmm.

Trips - you must be so anxious and nervous for him, but I can tell you're very proud. Your boys are inspiring young men :) oh God, I'll have 7 DC next year! Confused

Totally horrible! I have zero energy, literally woke up soaking wet and my throat feeling like a swallowed a chainsaw. DH changed the sheets twice last night, once because I didn't make it the bathroom in time couldn't break BlueA's latch quick enough and vomited everywhere Blush I've called in the big guns (PiL) and they are willing to take K,A and the boys all day and overnight, and are willing to do it the next night if I still feel the same. So lucky to have my family close. I'm really struggling today. And on top of that, I have to call BlueA's ped because he can't be getting sick this close to surgery...

They are LGBT ebooks. I do proof read, not so much anymore as I spend most of my time editing but that's how I got started :) I love anything horror/crime with a little paranormal mixed in (currently reading John Connolly). DH is currently reading a book called The Shock of the fall, no idea what it's about though! Grin

Morning.

Mama, trips, Shabs, hope you're feeling better soon.

Dh is off work today so we're going to try and get out somewhere with the kids. and I might just murder him if we don't as I did have an activity for them to do booked

MultipleMama · 31/07/2014 20:00

Sok - hope your day went as planned :)

I'm so sick of hospitals. Something happened today that scared the shit of me, and still has me completely shook up. Today, I fainted while carrying BlueA and hit the floor hard. Felt dizzy beforehand and was about to take BlueA out of the carrier and into the cot when it happened. I woke up to BlueA screaming and pain in my stomach, hip and chest. So, I called DH and told him I needed him home.

Currently, on the maternity ward but they want me to see the Haematologist before they discharge as my B12 levels are extremely low and they're worried about my liver as I've been spewing up blood. Baby is fine (but being monitored), pain is just from the shock and they say all my other symptoms are due to the B12.

I'm so pumped of anti-sickness drugs and stuck to drips and monitors that going to the toilet requires more balance and coordination than I have Grin

Minisoksmakehardwork · 31/07/2014 23:05

It went reasonably well. I ditched the plan for a picnic as the morning crept in and we went and bought dc new shoes and shorts instead (both much needed). Lost my car keys - dh found them under the lining in my handbag and I've no idea how they squeezed through the tiny hole I had to make bigger to get them out. Dh also bought me a new handbag and matching purse to replace this one as the lining is now beyond repair (although I'm going to give it a go...)

Mama. Hope you're home soon. Is your stored iron high ebough?

Jennifer is being a little scamp at the moment. She is quite happy to potter and run around at home. But every time we walk further than a few doors from our house, she point blank refuses to walk.

I also have runner beans. Teeny tiny runner beans growing on my plants. Hoping for some yummy ones on a plate soon.

triplets · 31/07/2014 23:12

Oh Mama, when are you going to learn to slow down.............we have all told you this before, you cant keep going at the pace you do. Your poor body desp needs to rest, please do as you are told!!! Who is looking after the dcs? Shabs I hope you are feeling better? xx No word from Thomas, cant stop thinking about him.

MultipleMama · 01/08/2014 00:18

Soks - My Iron levels are on the low end of normal but are fine thanks to the tea that I've been drinking. They took more blood tests today so I'll know tomorrow but from what my previous tests showed is the my red blood cells are larger than normal, and the tests I had done today will show if my bone marrow is making red blood cells at the correct rate. They think my B12 is caused by malabsorption and my Vegetarian diet.

Trips - I know, but I haven't got the time to slow down as much as DH or I would like. But DH and I have talked and made a few decisions; DH is going back to his old job position, I am going to hand in my notice and just do the freelance work, and I'm not going to my dad's tomorrow.

I think everything will calm down and fall into place when the DC start school, so I'll only have 2 at home, and when I have this B12 thing under control. I think calm down when BlueA's OHS is over with and the stress will ease when we pay the rest of the money on our new house. Currently GPs have had the DC all day and are having them overnight, and probably tomorrow too. DH is with the A-team and is using a sick day tomorrow.

To be honest, I have to laugh everything of because I chose this life, and I can't change anything. I could cry and wallow but what would that achieve, it's not going improve things only dampen thing. I have to stay positive no matter what.

this post has turned into such a ramble! Blush

I'm sure you'll hear from him soon. I have my fingers crossed that all goes well for him! :)

Hello, my other lovely ladies :) Hope you're feeling better Shabs.

Morning :) Yes Mama school will make a difference, I remember the day my three all went off together, suddenly six hours of freedom, must say it felt wonderful! Beautiful sunny morning here. Got to get James packed today for his week at camp, Thomas gets back at 8.30pm tonight...............fingers x`d he comes home with good news!

MultipleMama · 01/08/2014 17:56

Still in hospital, they won't discharge me until tomorrow :(

So, I have Pernicious anaemia caused by lack of intrinsic factor (made by stomach lining cells) which means my immune system has suddenly decided to attack those cells. The blood tests from yesterday showed that my bone marrow isn't making enough red blood cells, and at a slower rate. So I cannot be "cured" but treated. I've got to have a B12 shot once a day for the next 8 days (enough to boost and store) and then once a month thereafter for the rest of my life. I have to see my Haematologist at the private hospital in 10 days to check my B12 levels, and then see him every 6 months (as this type of anaemia can cause stomach problems).

My liver is fine, the baby is fine (so is BlueA - I fell on my back), an endoscopy showed the blood I was vomiting was just from a tear in my esophagus. So I'm fine, and now that I'm being treated I will start to feel a lot better. Oh, and tomorrow DH and I learn how to inject my thigh/butt Grin.

Bring on the school years, even if it means my babies are growing up :(

Keeping my fingers crossed, Trips!! Grin

:):):):):) He passed :):):):):) He did it, God I am sooooo proud of him, 17 out of 40 made it. He had also to give three choices of regiment/job role, his first choice was already fully allocated, so hes been offered his second choice which mean hell start in March. I am so happy for him, and secretly pleased its March and not Sept, I get to keep him a little while longer........

triplets · 01/08/2014 23:08

and he was sent home 4 hours early, we were meant to meet him at Waterloo at 6pm. So he then had to make his own way back from London...............what a good day this has been! xx

triplets · 01/08/2014 23:11

Mama my brother with the poorly heart also has the same problem, not storing iron, he too is a vegetarian.
Must sleep, now got to get up with James at 4.15am as he is off to RAF Brize Norton for a weeks camp!!

MultipleMama · 01/08/2014 23:40

So pleased for Thomas! I did a little happy dance in my uncomfortable hospital bed for him! I can only imagine that cheshire grin on your face! :) :) :) Grin

I knew had problems with iron always seemed to be boredline but boosted easily and I know it was even harder to keep it up during PG but I think the last 2 PGs worn my body down and now not only do I have to check my iron levels but my b12 too. This is sooo my last baby. I can't deal with anymore health problems!

Need sleep but woman in the bed next to me is snoring loudly! Just skyped with DH and apparently BlueA knows I'm missing and is giving DH so much difficulty by refusing the bottle.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow, Trips! :)
