Trips - my nearest

Minisoksmakehardwork · 09/08/2014 04:05

Trips - my town is suffering flooding for the first time I've ever know. Someone has posted a picture of a hurricane forming on fb and it was just up the road from us so I can well believe we're getting the tail end of one.

MultipleMama · 09/08/2014 18:34

It's another boy!! Shock Grin Grin :)

We also told me dad today, well showed him; DH video called him while we were having the scan and surprised him by playing the heartbeat and then showing him little Soyuz on the screen. Dad was very happy for us :) Tomorrow we tell everyone else :)

Oh and we've decided on a first name; Ilya :)

ooo The Man from Uncle..........who remembers that? Congratulations Mama:)

James is home from camp at RAF Brize Norton, had a fantastic time, lucky thing! They do so much with them, excellent week for £60 all inc, wish they offered breaks like that for us Mums!

Chopstheduck · 10/08/2014 07:23

ooh lovely, mama! Lovely name.

I keep hearing all this talk of a hurricane, we had blazing sunshine yesterday and a bit of rain last night. Looks dull this morning, but dry. Hoping it does hold out, got to drive big two up to Cambridge - they are off to their grandparents in Norfolk for the week.

Then we are off to the football. The dts are Arsenal fans. I am not a football fan at all and this will be the first match I have ever been to - I think I may end up wanting to lamp someone! At least Wembley should be dry and hurricane proof. DS1 and I got caught in a little hurricane at the stoop at Twickenham, it was the strangest thing seeing the wind go in all directions, and rather scary. It started ripping the roof off of some smaller structures and the game had to be abandoned.

Fishing for little perch is such fun, bubby! I wish I still had the gear to take my boys.

triplets · 10/08/2014 08:37

Its certainly raining here Chops, a 7am I was a light drizzle but not now! I was hoping wed escape it too, also wind strength is building up. Hate Sundays at the best of times, but wet Sundays are the worst. Think Ill be a teenager and stay in bed all day!!

MultipleMama · 10/08/2014 10:10

Expected rain later so having a lazy crafts and internet shopping day with the DC before we venture in the rain for the walk to GPs for dinner and tell them the news. Told my Ivan & Petrov last night via skype and asked them to be my "doula" which they said yes :) Kids were officially told this morning and they were excited and giving my stomach kisses. Too cute! Though I have no visible bump yet :(

Fishing sounds like fun! Glad they enjoyed themselves! Kinda like tadpole collecting Grin.

Peeing down here and cold....

Chops - wish I was going to the match today. Cause a stir and shout for 'my lot' please Smile Come on City!!!

Chopstheduck · 10/08/2014 12:59

I thought of you when I got the tickets email, Shabs! I think you will prob win and I shall have a couple of disappointed boys. I'm wearing blue too WinkGrin

shabbs · 10/08/2014 18:24

Listened to it on local radio Chops. Even the commentators (all ex City players) sounded bored rigid!!! Grin

MultipleMama · 10/08/2014 18:57

Managed to stomach some cauliflower and broccoli cheese and a slice of black forest cake today but not much else. Feeling more energetic today almost back to normal. Full of hiccups though! See my Haematologist tomorrow to work out a care plan and then I have BlueA's therapy sessions and then his pre-op appt in the afternoon, GPs are looking after 5 of DC so I can take DH's company car instead of public transport. Such a busy bee!

It's 11.40pm and Artie will not go to bed! She keeps walking around the bedroom babbling to herself. It's completely adorable but I want to sleep!

Hate it............feels like Autumn, please don`t go away Summer.........I love the sun.............feeling wistful tonight.............

MultipleMama · 11/08/2014 08:51

It feels so weird walking around with no pushchair, no energizer bunnies, no luggage besides on diaper bag. It's so lovely being hands free and BlueA is on such good behaviour as I cure my boredom by walking around the waiting room!

Hope all appts go well today Mama x
Wellafter the stormy w/end its supposed to be 21degrees and sunny..........er wrong.......its 16 thundering, raining and miserable..:(

MultipleMama · 11/08/2014 20:20

Thanks, Trips.

My appointment went well, he gave me another shot today, and now I have to do it myself every 4 weeks. I've picked up my repeat prescription and my little sharp tub, and they gave me so many needles! Between me and BlueA we're set for life! Grin

BlueA despised his therapy today. Gave them hell every time they tried to hold him or lie him down, after 1.5 hours he was worn out and grumpy all day. His pre-op appointment however, went very well. They're pleased with his health and progressed but they need to stop 2 of his medications until after his surgery so it's out of his system and see if he still needs them after recovery.

All DC went down without a fight tonight, which I am so grateful for. A asked to be breastfed tonight, so I tandem fed her and BlueA. MiL did say she's been quieter than normal and really clingy.

How's the weather been ladies? Manage to get anything done? x

Glad all went well today Mama.
Sat here with tears streaming down my face after watching tonights Long Lost Family, felt so sad for Stephen whose parents did marry each other then went on to have two more sons, how hard is that to accept? Quiet on here these days? Kale Nits Shabs if you are lurking :o

bubby64 · 12/08/2014 00:23

We had a local car show in aid of the Air Ambulance yesterday, a lot of work went in to organising it, then it bucketed it downSad Gale force winds, mini tornadoes, flash floods, the lot! DH moaning like heck about taking the pontiac out in such rain as the windscreen leaks like a sieve (poor American design!) he keeps meaning to take it out and re-seal it, but we just don't get around to it.
Mama- I love the name, and glad things are going well.
Trips- ditch dh and go out with some friends insteadGrin
Chops/ Shabbs - I don't really lije football, but I must admit when I got taken to see our local side play live, it was a lot more interesting.
Soks- you ok out there in cyberland?
I think aliens took over the bodies of the boys today, I got a call at work from dh to say they had cleaned the kitchen and conservatory, and done an amazing job! Mind you, it could have had something to do with me going ballistic at them on Friday after coming home from work and finding they had spent the day cooking for themselves, and had used almost every pan, bowl, plate, utensil etc, and left everything on the side unwashed, including all the surfaces!! It took me over an hour to clean up, and I was not happy!
Mind you, J did say have the cheek to say they thought they did such a good job they might deserve a reward, and I told him only if the same effort is put into their bedrooms tomorrow!!Grin Wink

Chopstheduck · 12/08/2014 06:50

lol @ bubby. Wonder if they will remember that today?

Our windscreen needs doing too - it cracked, and the man came to do it today after a two week wait, and it started raining as he pulled up! So now another two week wait!

I managed to get to the gym yesterday after a few weeks being too busy with the kids activities. Body pump (weights class), an hours swim, and 8 miles on the bike yesterday and I'm now just back from a 4 mile run this morning. DH is off from tomorrow for a few days again, so I bet it all goes to pot again! But at least I will have shifted the couple of pounds I put on LAST time he was off.

Woke up this morning to the news about Robin Williams on facebook - so sad :( I loved his movies, such a talented actor.

triplets · 12/08/2014 07:21

Morning all, yes sad news about Robin Williams. Why is it that often a comic genius suffers depression, take Spike Milligan? I confess to never being a fan of his but I still think its sad he couldnt overcome his addictions and problems in life. I hope hes found his peace. xx

triplets · 12/08/2014 20:07

In bed...............sooooooooooooooo bored :(

MultipleMama · 12/08/2014 20:33

It goes to show what can be hidden behind smiles and laughter. I true comedy genius who will be sadly missed. Made this kids watch Mrs Doubtfire and Flubber tonight; they loved them especially A :)

Chops - I envy you. Wish I could go out and exercise! I miss it.

I've decided that I really need to try and get BlueA to go in the stroller or a swing/bouncer. We try continuously but he just screams and finds it impossibly hard to calm down and he doesn't need added stress but as much as I love carrying him he gunna have learn to seperate from me and DH at some point especially when my bump gets big. Any tips?

Minisoksmakehardwork · 12/08/2014 23:00

Bubs, thanks for asking. I've been lurking on and off. Hope the boys surprise you with clean rooms tomorrow.

We're having a reasonable time at the moment. Until this afternoon anyway. Have been throwing bigs out the door at the earliest opportunity. James spent all day apart from lunch and dinner riding his bike yesterday. Unfortunately today he appears to have popped a tube and my lovely bike shop is closed Tuesdays. Cue massive meltdown until a lovely boy over the road said James could borrow his bike (his parents took his stabilisers off but he's not getting on well so rode his sister's instead). The two of them were racing up and down the road.

Twins are tearing house apart at a pace of knots.

Mama, would a sheepskin liner maybe soften/snuggle blueA's pushchair for him?

Chopstheduck · 13/08/2014 06:47

That sounds great, soks! It's worth stocking up on spares - I have to keep spare inner tubes in 4 different sizes for our various bikes in the shed - halfords often have them for buy one get one half price.

mama - have you tried swaddling? My dts hated the feeling of open space when they were tiny. They wouldn't go down in the cot, I ended up putting them in a laundry basket, which I eventually moved into the cot, before I could drop the basket. It might help if you wore the blanket for a bit too, so it has a comforting smell.
