Morning girls.

Bubby - looks like Mum is staying where she is. She took me to the staff room yesterday and showed me her tabbard (sp???) with her name on it. She said 'I've got a job and Im working here!!!. She asked could she help because she was bored.......she is polishing and doing some washing up for them LOL - she is as 'happy as a pig in muck.' I must admit I had to fight back laughter when she showed me all the polishing she had done. The staff were worried that I wouldn't like what they had done but I was thrilled to bits to see the 'spark' back in her eyes.

.....and we talked about Dad on Monday (his birthday) and I am thrilled to say she had a cry. Thats what my 'old mum' would have done. She said 'Oh love, how are you doing without your Dad - you were his favourite.' Cue many snotty tears and hugs.

shabbs · 17/07/2014 08:33

Meant to say DB finally agreed with me that the nursing home should be given a second chance (and they have really upped security) and that they are doing a fantastic job of caring for her x

MultipleMama · 17/07/2014 15:58

Morning ladies :)

Shabs - so nice to hear that you're mum has settled well :) Must be a weight off your mind to know she's happy there and you don't have to worry about moving her, again :)

Bubs - So pleased for you, I bet you can now start getting excited for the holiday without the worry on your shoulders :)... God forbid, it was twins again, I'd still go for a homebirth, it's what I planned with A-team, but I would change the midwife, probably...

Today, DH and I have been together 8 years, many people thought we wouldn't last this long, they called me irresponsible and stupid for dating him, that I was too young and it wouldn't last, well more fool them. I am still in love with him, more so everyday. I could never imagine loving another man like I do him, he was my first, and I hope he'll always be my last.

Asked around an managed to find another MW through a work colleague of DH's, we didn't want to waste time, so we emailed her with what we want and I may have sounded like such a b*tch Blush, and if she could meet these requirements or willing to compromise, then we'd love to meet her to discuss them. We meet her on Monday :)

My scan tomorrow! Anyone wanna guess dates? DH think's my due date will be 4th February, and I think 18th February.

So the tea is working. I am still completely exhausted and fatigued, and constantly grabbing naps but the tea has cured the insomia, it's so nice to go to bed and be able to sleep.

BlueA is doing well tonight, I think I've perfected his night routine which should help make him sleep longer. The worst is that he can't self soothe and can't go from sleeping to awake easily - if we can conquer that at therapy, then I'd be so happy! Haha.

shabs, that is fantastic for your mum, she is sounding far more relaxed and secure now. :)

Good luck with the scan, mama. I gonna go for Feb 14th - Valentines babyies

MultipleMama · 18/07/2014 15:14

Afternoon, ladies :)

Scan went very well. There is only one very active baby who has a very strong heartbeat! My due date is estimated at 19th Jan! Shock... more further along than we thought! It's all very real now!

Morning girls xx

MultipleMama · 19/07/2014 17:42

I'm heading to UK at the beginning of August! :) DH talked about this morning (I say morning I mean 4am cuddles) and we came to a compromise. My dad doesn't know I'm pregnant and it's important for me to tell him in person before we tell others so... I will be flying on 2nd on a early morning flight, and returning on an afternoon flight on 3rd. That way it's on a weekend so DH is off work so there's no need for BlueA to come with me. My brother doesn't leave until 5th so I can tell him too :)

That way we're not upsetting routines and can do it before things get hectic. In this case, DH was right... I was being selfish and irrational Blush

Mama I am pleased you and dh came to a compromise which works for you all. I can't imagine how much hard work blueA is but can only describe my experiences with James. Which is 1 4yo taking up more time and energy of both parents than the other 3 children out together.

Dh and I are ok after our holiday. My parents are worried about us. Even going so far as inviting him to talk with them about anything if he wishes. He won't of course. He thinks they will treat him the same as my sister's exdh. They've both assured me they know he is a completely different person to that. I just wish he'd let them tell him that.

We very nearly didn't go on holiday. And due to finances very nearly came back the next day! My parents thankfully bailed us out but I really do owe them one.

James had an awful week. Poor boy didn't know whether he was coming or going, and telling me he just wanted to be home in his little bedroom. Truly heartbreaking and we've had some awful lashing out from him. Even though we're now home it's going to take him a little while to settle back down. And him and Joshua are bouncing off each other terribly.

But on the whole the holiday was good. We spent time on the beach and got our family photo done again. Complete set now with the twins in too Grin

How is everyone finding the heat? I'm actually missing waking up in a freezing cold caravan right now. Baked to bits and I've had two showers today (been out with friends this evening and more dates in the calendar too!)

MultipleMama · 20/07/2014 03:28

Glad you managed to enjoy yourselves. Your DH sounds like he's one of those people who can't comfortably accept compliments, and hates to have his weaknesses discussed with others. Maybe him talking to your parents might help though.

Poor James, I hope he settles soon, does he dislike change or unfamiliar places? Your experiences pretty much sum it up in one sentence but it's a ill 9mo and 5 siblings! I'm sure how I'm going to cope with his OHS or how I should start preparing.

Heat as been making me cranky! And forced me to sleep in A's room! (I can't have windows open in our room due to twins and DH's love of sleeping in a sauna but A has one of those lights with fan so at least I can cool down!)

Qurstion

OP posts:
MultipleMama · 21/07/2014 14:28

Question; would I be able to have a private scan when I travel to the UK? And if yes, would I be able to book it by phone/online from here. I'd like to give my dad a treat if possible.

OP posts:
Chopstheduck · 22/07/2014 06:57

morning ladies

it is very warm! I'm not going to complain, since this is the first summer in years that we haven't been away and so I am going to make the most of it. We have a stash of various tickets to days out that I have won, we just need some nice weather to be able to enjoy them.

Put the pool up in the garden yesterday. It's a huge 10 foot framed pool I got off freecycle a few years ago. It's getting battered and old now, but I patched it up and even the older kids were thrilled when they came home from school! Really hope it lasts for a few more weeks. Won tickets to sportfest next weekend, which I'm rather excited about. It's a weekend thing, but not far from us, so we can just come home overnight.

Nightimes have been stiffling. And working out has been hard too. I'm jsut back from an early morning run to beat the heat. AND the AC has broken in the studio at the gym.

Poor James. :( Hope he settles down again soon.

Mama, I can't see why you couldn't - I'd jsut have a google in the area where you are going to be.

Morning girls - thanks for Toms birthday messages. xx

First year we weren't in Greece for his birthday.....had an email a few days back from the owners of the hotel. Offering us fantastic deals for next July......near enough half price for the family rooms. They said they will have a big party for Toms 18th birthday - he was just 4 the first time we ever went. We may live 2,000 miles apart from each other but we have become fantastic friends.

Hope that Trips is enjoying her holiday x

triplets · 26/07/2014 01:24

Hola! Back home (sad) really didn't want to come back, will tell you more tomorrow after I get some sleep, been up since 5am and straight out tonight for book club with the girls which was nice. Belated Happy Birthday to Tomster..............17..........how? Found a photo a few weeks back Shabs of you and Tom at Caths party, seems a very long time ago! Buenos Noches.............xxx

triplets · 26/07/2014 07:49

Buenos dias! Less than 4 hours sleep, put my alarm on the make sure Thomas remembered to get up for his paper round, off he went and was back in 10 mins as they thought he wasnt back until tomorrow!! Had such a fab time ..........well me and the boys did! Rebecca couldnt wait to get home to her friends, she couldnt bear the heat, and only went in the sea three time! I felt sorry for dk, who really struggled, I wont go into all the gory details except to say I was all bowel related. Since all the ops and treatment they have never been right. On top of that he had no energy and most nights went back to the apartment whilst I stayed out with the kids. He has come 2 kilos lighter and I have come back over two heavier.................
Anyway back to reality.............grim thought........but I did miss you all :) xx

that should have been it was all bowel related no I !! This was the view of the bay from our apt...........heaven........

MultipleMama · 26/07/2014 10:59

That view looks stunning. Very Envy!! I'm glad you and Sok enjoyed your holidays. Your dd will soon be regretting the day she took the holidays for granted when she's old enough to pay for herself! Grin

Cannot remember the last time we had a simple family holiday... think it was before the boys were born!

Been a busy few days. I now have a MW, brother has agreed to stay from Xmas until the baby's born - he was very honored. We've paid the house deposit (45%! Shock), BlueA's OT & PT has been increased to x3 a week. And DH has accepted a promotion where he now deals with International clients despite how he looks and will be working away from home one weekend either in Berlin or another country. Great news but sad that it's one less family weekend :( And lastly, I've booked a gender scan for when I visit my dad but DH says I've got to keep it a secret until we attend our 20 week scan.
