To cheer myself I ate some feta on toast and then some Danish on crackers - I know you're not supposed to eat blue cheese but it was screaming "eat me!" Grin

DH is putting the DC to bed, and ignoring me. So, I'm hideaway in the garden with the dog and do some late gardening. :)

Mama- I agree with the others, he needs space to get his head around things, just try not to mention the "elephant in the room" for a few daysWink

triplets · 26/06/2014 23:34

Well that is BIG news Mama................not really surprised! I cant help but feel worried though how youll cope, and Artie taking her first steps, at 8 months [shocks] unless Ive remembered their birthdays wrongly! Gosh you have a lot to think about. Well you can tell we a going away for a 3 day break because the weather is going to change! Its raining hard here atm, the forecast is light rain over the next three days and cooler, typical. I had pictured myself sitting at the back of the lodge at 6pm with a large glass of wine and of course some "nuts", watching the wildlife on the lake as the sun sets................oh well. Not actually feeling a 100% and dont really know why, little aches and pains all over. James came home positively bouncing tonight, he has been made a corporal at the ATC, so he can now tell his brother what to do! Night all xx

I miss my Dad xxxx

MultipleMama · 27/06/2014 00:10

Well, I call them first steps DH called them falling with stylw. It was 3 quick little steps and without hand holding! DH won't let me put it the baby book as he thinks I just got over excited about a tumble haha.

It's a surprise to me. We've been extra careful. I didn't want to pregnant again so soon. Honestly, I'm worried how I'm gunna cope too...

I bet James is well chuffed! :)

Oh, Shabs! Xxxxx

Chopstheduck · 27/06/2014 08:22

Have fun, trips! Well done to James x

{{{hugs}}} for shabs xxx How is your mum doing?

shabbs · 27/06/2014 09:03

Morning girls xx

Enjoy your break Trips - got a lovely email from Venezia - all about my parents and how they wish we were going this year. Really touched my heart.

Mum is physically doing very well - putting on weight etc etc. Her Alzheimers though is overwhelming her at times. I saw her yesterday for a couple of hours. They have a lady who comes in to do their nails (for free) and she was sobbing because she said she couldn't have hers done because she had no money. They recommend that their residents only have five pounds a week - she never uses the money but she was so confused about it.

Sat with her and told her she was living in an all inclusive house....she didnt have to pay for anything. That impressed her a lot LOL. When I left she was chosing her nail varnish and went for gold glitter stuff - ha ha ha ha ha ha. Cant wait to see the finished result today!!!

She insists that my Dad and my sons sit with her all night and if it comforts her thats all that matters. She even remembered it is Matts 30th birthday on Monday - well done Mum xxxx

Chopstheduck · 27/06/2014 09:36

aww it sounds like she is doing really well! I hope she enjoyed her manicure :)

MultipleMama · 27/06/2014 17:24

Glad to hear your mum is doing well, Shabs, hope that she loves the manicure :)

Weather has been lovely today so I took the DC to the lake. Artie is a pro at assisted walking and hated being in the stroller, my back did not appreciate this though! It's supposed to be a thunderstorm tomorrow and Sunday so planning a day of arts 'n' crafts :)

Shabs- glad your mum is having moments of lucidity and happiness. My nursing home has been in the news yesterday, my picture was in the paper with one of my residents, and we were again on the local TV news last night about the fake village green we have spent the past 4 months making for our residents to prompt memories, its called "pockets of opportunity" and it is being viewed as a breakthrough in dementia care and we won 3 awards for innovation at the care awards last week. It is apparently being picked up by the national papers as well. All our hard work has paid off.
Trips- enjoy your weekend, even if it rains, you at least have things you can do things indoors there.
Soks - hope you have plenty of crafty things arranged.Grin We had huge hail stones fall here today!
Mama- falling with style, like that!Grin

MultipleMama · 29/06/2014 17:36

I woke this morning to a soft bee rattle on DH's pillow... and then when he came home from work he pulled me into a hug, thanked me for giving him time, apologised for being a grump and then asked how I and "bumble" were doing, today. Feels good to have his support and comfort. To know he wants this baby too, however unplanned, means a lot :)

We can't wait for the scan now, but we're still clueless about dates. DH think's I'll be somewhere around 10 weeks when we have the scan, I'm thinking more around 8 weeks :)

Glad dh has come round.

I've got dh at home today - rest day as he's working this weekend Angry he didn't really want to come to my friends wedding anyway but still...

Also said friend found out she was pregnant just before they came over so I'm utterly thrilled for them. But pissing myself laughing at the thought of my friend, who can drink most people under the table in the right occasion, managing to avoid the questions of 'why aren't you drinking' on her wedding day.

Dh is slowly being less knobbish. Remains to see what happens after our holiday I guess. I'm still making back up plans to ensure I'm not completely stuck should the worst happen. Weirdly I think dh is picking up on a new found confidence hence being better with me. Perhaps a blip is just what we've needed to get out of a rut! He is still glued to his iPad. But I'm cutting him some slack on that one for now as he is playing with the children at the same time on occasion.

MultipleMama · 30/06/2014 09:32

Th...thir..thir..third...set? Can't even say the word! Grin

So much to do today!

Glad your dh is being less knobish! Hope your friend had a lovely day!

Tripped over Halo's tube and whacked my head against the wall. Bloody hurt. The boys found it hilarious and K came and gave my head a kiss and told the tube and wall off for hurting mama. I know how have a bump and bruise. That sums up today as a whole...

Back home..............not sure if I`d rather still be at CP nothing but hassle since we got back. Well where to start. Villa was ok but looking its age, patio area dirty, lights kept flickering and radiators kept rumbling! Dd was a PITA and only briefly went out three times, would not go to the pool at all, basically sat watching dvds. Boys were ok, but it was the demand feeding that got me down, forever hungry. Dk lived up to his name, sat to be waited on and got plastered every night, getting ratty with it. Then to top it all it bloody rained and rained and thundered an rained even more, all weekend. The thought now of spending 10 days in Pollensa with them fills me with dread...............

Did someone mention 3 sets of twins ..................
Mama no skating! Were you ever a pro, you seem so good at it!

shabbs · 30/06/2014 23:32
Good to have you back Trips - wish it had been a 'better break' for you.

Happy 30th birthday to my precious DS3 - Matty - he looooooved Vincent Van Gogh because he said he was barking mad!! LOL. Night, God bless Matty - loved forever and a day xxx

triplets · 01/07/2014 00:14

" the stars are shining so bright tonight, thinking of you Matty " xx

MultipleMama · 01/07/2014 01:03

Trips, sorry your break didn't turn out so great. Really hope things brighten up for you!

Not even a little skating? Grin DH has already gave me lecture when he heard me on the phone to a German coach (enquiring about K). Not a pro but been playing Ice Hockey since I was in single digits :)

Thinking of you, Shabs xxx

Morning all, wide awake just after 5am, hopeless! Still a very sunny morning, Thomas is just getting up for his paper round. Kids not pleased as they now have to go into school next week for the whole week as their intro to 6th form. Feeling miffed with dk who is getting very mean with money, I am paying for everything out of mums money she left me, he can`t believe how much we have left and wants to know what I have spent it on???? Er like I have paid for 3 mini breaks, the new kitchen, etc etc etc. God he drives me nuts!!

shabbs · 01/07/2014 09:43

So... our sale fell through yesterday due to the owner backing out. I'm sad but I'm strangely not gutted about it, I guess secretly, I'm slightly glad. We fell in love with the house but it needed work and with #7 in the oven, it would have pushed us. Saying that, we originally fell in love with another house which we still adore, one I saw us living in and making it the "family home" and not wanting to miss out, we put in an offer today :)

K is growing way too fast for my liking. I woke up this morning and he was dressed, hair brushed, face washed, teeth brushed and was helping dress his sister in the clothes I put out last night. :)

I just want to sleep 8 hours uninterupted. Is that too much to ask for?! I'm beyond exhausted but unable sleep. Even Apollo is spark out and has been for the past 2 hours! :(

Oh mama. Too many thoughts in your head?? I keep waking up through the night. It's exhausting! Although I currently have a sore throat which probably doesn't help. And Joshua keeps crying out and yanking his ear. Off to gp shortly to see if they will please give me some antib's for my throat (think it's tonsillitis) and sort Joshua out. I'm soaking his pillowcase this morning as it and his ear were caked in blood. Supposed to be sorting my rainbow cupboard for tomorrow but it will have to wait!

Can't believe it's James' school induction tomorrow. They want to preschoolers going up to attend school for an hour. Slap bang in the middle of the day and I've a friend visiting. I wish they would have given me more than 26 hours notice!! James is not coping well with the thought of big school. Had a massive meltdown the other night just because I had bought his book bag ready. Hmm
