Shabs ((((hugs))))) to you, I know its so hard, but Trips is right, they learned so much that Gareth made a big impact on the world in the short time he was with us. If it wasnt for the brave children and mums like you in the past, my 2 definitely would not be here, as I had ground breaking laser surgery to correct my T2TTS.
Mama - You really needed a cry and that talk with the surgeon for you emotional well being, now you need to pass on to Apollo the fact you are there by your touch and voice. Keep going love, it will be more than worth it inthr end.
Trips - condolences for the families of the deceased, I know you are a great friend to so many people, but it is hard when you lose people, especially so close together.

My 2 returned to school today, and I am seing J's form tutor tomorrow to discuss how we can help him in the future with his friendship issue's and also how we can try and get him to be more organised.
He had 8 negative behaviour points in his last 3 weeks of school for not doing homework and forgetting to bring in books/work, or basic equipment to his various classes, despite me -nagging- reminding him about it every day!SadConfusedFrench is worst, he hates his French teacher with avengence, and, having met her, tbh, I can see where he is coming fromBlush

bubby64 · 08/01/2014 00:02

Soks - sorry, meant to add a ((hug)) for you too, Im sure things will get better again when you brood get back to a normal routine,, certainly it will help with Bigger, he needs the routine to ground him a bit.

MultipleMama · 08/01/2014 00:46

Shabs, I'll be forever indebit to your little boy and many like him who, in a way, helped my little boy. Though it saddens me that their spark had to join the stars for those breakthroughs to be made. I'll make sure to treasure my little boy to the moon and back. Apollo weighs just under 3lbs 15oz now, he's come along way from his birth weight of 1lb 9oz. Very proud :)

I hated my French teacher, especially when I moved up to a "higher" French class. I adored my German classes however haha.

Evening. Bit of lighthearted amusement for you all. It was our first ww meeting since the 18th December. Wednesday weigh in so obviously missed 2 weeks. Out of the 20ish who were weighed today, we lost a grand total of 4lb. We put on 52lb. Our leader is glad she doesn't get paid according to pounds lost!

Grin well it was Christmas Soks Grin

bubby64 · 08/01/2014 20:47

SoksGrin Grin Grin I dare not even near the scales, and doesnt help that I probably exceeded my alcohol units by a huge amount over the past 3 weeks as well!
Spoke to both J's form tutor and head of year. They said they were going to get in touch with me anyway, as they are having to put him on report for a couple of weeks due to amount of negative behaviour points he had got, it will be awake up call for him and he is going to very upset tomorrowSad As for his social issues, they agree there is a problem, and it is in the msin part due to his immaturity, They are going to give him more responsibility in class, and try to encourage him to in other ways too. I hope he doesn't think that me going to see them has caused the report, Sad I am pretending that I know nothing about it tonight.

shabbs · 08/01/2014 22:52

My lovely DIL Emma goes in hospital tomorrow to have her gall bladder removed. Dan has time off and Lew is going into school as normal. Hope everything goes well for her she has been having massive problems for a long time.

Bubby - I have eaten my own body weight (and thats a considerable amount) in bloody chocolate and sweet stuff this Xmas - I dont even like sweet stuff Hmm

MultipleMama · 08/01/2014 23:09

I seem to be eating my weight in breadsticks and garlic dip. I swear vampires in 5 mile radius would drop down ill! poor Artie.

Hope your DIL's op goes well, Shabs!

Bubs, I hope the school play more of a part in helping him at school. I think the responsibilty thing would be good thing to try. A finds it difficult to make friends she prefers to play by herself and finds it stressful when made to interact with others.

bubby64 · 08/01/2014 23:34

Shabs - Hope all goes well for Em tomorrow.

I'm starting to wonder at times about J. In a lot of ways he is very like DH, and has some definate "aspie" traits, but I also wonder if this is 'learned' not inate behaviour.

triplets · 09/01/2014 00:24

Em too? Shabs two of my nieces have just had the same op, one is 24 and the other is 33, strange isn`t it? Better get some shut eye....zz zzz zzz

Morning All, nice to see you Ruby x

MultipleMama · 09/01/2014 08:23

Morning, Rubs!

My BIL is currently doing the 5hour journey with my kids to see me. Cannot wait to see them and give them big hugs. Going to take them to see the Wall and spoil them :)

Apollo is holding strong and stubborn :)

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 09/01/2014 13:01

Thanks for the hugs. Bigger went back to preschool yesterday. He's still screeching from the rooftops and quite aggressive. But hopefully he will settle down. He's looking forward to our holiday as he remembers it from last year. Though is unsure about the pool. We've bought him a little wetsuit so hopefully he won't be as cold this time.

My twin reins arrived today and I'm so looking forward to trying them out. They like holding my hand and walking so I'm hoping we'll get on better with these than the regular ones I've got. They'll certainly be fun to try out next week!!

MultipleMama · 09/01/2014 14:28

My twins love the reins but according to my BIL Dieter has gone back to wanting to lie in the stroller. Hope you have success with yours!

BIL dropped kids off at the hospital this morning so I'm going to surprise him and meet him for coffee instead and let him meet Artie :)

MultipleMama · 09/01/2014 17:24

DH just informed me that our next child will be called Mr Mistoffelees and it's nonnegotiable. I knew his love of musicals would come back to haunt me when I married him...

triplets · 09/01/2014 22:27

Well although it was sad today, it was lovely to see so many family members I havent seen for years, especially my cousin Marilyn who flew over from Australia for her Dads funeral. We havent see each other for almost 50 years, scary...........yet we knew each other instantly. A bittersweet day. xx

MultipleMama · 10/01/2014 12:41

Afternoon, ladies.

Today is a good day, Apollo is being weaned off the sedative today so here's to hoping he doesn't fight against the tube!

Artie rolled over from her back to her stomach, today! For the past couple of days she's been rolling stomach to back but today was the time she's done it the other way. So proud. She's even making contact :) She's kicking the "premature" status' butt!

shabbs · 11/01/2014 09:41

MultipleMama · 11/01/2014 11:08

Afternoon, ladies.

Apollo is no longer fighting his tube so he doesn't need to be sedated again until he needs scans etc and this morning he opened his eyes for the first time since his op and it's such a relief to him aware. Onwards and upwards :)

DH is taking the DC swimming today while Artie & I go stroller shopping!

MultipleMama · 12/01/2014 01:21

Apollo has hit the 4lb mark! Such a massive milestone for him! The staff are very pleased and have increased his feeds in hopes that he will continue to improve. So happy!
