Evening ladies. Since we're at 999 now. Was feeling reflective tonight.

Shabs: hope your brother got his arse kicked. Bless your mum though. Pregnant! Lol.
Bubs: amazon is your friend for cheap hdmi cables. Dh actually waited for one to come from there rather than pay store prices. Maybe J will have to get spares in!!
Mama: I don't really want to understand what's going on with Russia/Ukraine. Prefer bury my head a bit. But I hope it's short lived unrest and that your brother and partner stay safe. Hugs x

Jen has gone to nana and grandad's tonight. Josh is a cheeky monkey (stands at walls going I hidin') but cute and funny.
James has a weighted blanket to try. He initially doesn't like the weight of it. But last night once he was asleep we crept it over him a bit. He seemed to have slept a bit better. Might be coincidence so we've got it for 2 weeks and ill report back on whether it helped or not.
Looking forward to Thursday as we're going to see Miranda hart. Yay!

morning ladies xx

I'm still lurking, just been quite busy with gym, and the kids! This week, I have parents evening for dts 2n, plus dd needs picking after school, ski lesson tues, two after school cross country races wed and thurs (dt1), crown court all afternoon sat (dd - competition, NOT in the dock Wink), church sunday - dd again, plus the normal BB, GB, cubs.

Hope you are all well! xxx

bubby64 · 03/03/2014 20:27

Hi soks- got a cheap one in Asda at 4.99 as read a Geeks article that if the cable is less than 3m long, it doesn't have to be expensive. Mind you, he hasn't been given it yet, I want grovellingGrin Grin Grin

bubby64 · 03/03/2014 20:27

Chops- you need a clone to keep ip with everything!

MultipleMama · 03/03/2014 23:25

It's 12.20am and I just want to pull my hair out. All DC have been cranky today and refusing to settle. A has had 3 night terrors, DH is in her room tonight so she doesn't hurt herself, K has decided he refuses to sleep anywhere but in the boys' nursery, the boys are teething again and don't want to settle but in bed with me, and are constantly wanting "mama milk" but the A-team are being unsettled by the twins tantrums. It's going to be a long night. Dad left for the UK this afternoon so I'm down a pair of hands. HELP! I just wanna curl in a ball and cry...

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 04/03/2014 04:12

Morning! Oh mama! Do you think it's having the a team home and together which is unsettling the rest of them? I remember the early days of fascination and then the jealousy when I had the twins.

OP posts:
MultipleMama · 04/03/2014 12:13

Not sure, Soks. The A-team have been home over a week and the DC have kept to their routines. The boys are naturally whiney and clingy when ill so I expected that from them and they're currently on the sofa watching disney movies. Not sure what has set A off but DH said she had about 7 terrors last night and this morning she's more quiet than usual and is in the downstairs cot with Apollo - refused to sleep anywhere else. K on the otherhand is back to his normal cheeky self but when asked why he played up last night he just shrugged.

So far today is better :)

triplets · 04/03/2014 22:38

Tell me to stop worrying, dd cam down at 9pm and said she had really bad heartburn/pain in her chest.................alarm bells filled my head. She said she`s had it before but not as bad. Gave her 2 gaviscon. She now says its not as bad but its never gone on as long as this before. I will be in and out checking her all night...........I get scared so easily.

triplets · 04/03/2014 22:39

yes Rubester come and cheer us all up with a tale............

shabbs · 04/03/2014 22:44

I would be the same Trips. Its awful to feel so anxious but you cant help it. I have got pleurisy (sp??) its much better today but could hardly breathe with it - the pain was so bad. Falling to bloody bits Hmm

triplets · 04/03/2014 22:52

gosh Shabs poor you, I remember my dear Dad having that, do they give you something for it?

shabbs · 04/03/2014 23:25

anti-biotics Trips.....I knew what it was right away. Got the same thing when Tom was about 6 months old - I was cleaning a local pub at the time and nobody else would do my Xmas morning clean so I had to do it. Remember tears running down my face while I was trying to hoover.

My GP is also my parents GP. He said 'I'm suprised thats all you have got - your nerves must be ragged.'

Im taking my time breathing in and out IYKWIM? So bloody painful.

shabbs · 04/03/2014 23:26

GP thinks it has been caused by some kind of chest infection.

MultipleMama · 05/03/2014 02:39

Hope you feel better Shabs.

I do not blame you for worrying, Trips. I can sometimes have heartburn all night despite haviga zantac. And I've been having chest pains on and off since the a-team was born, sometimes it's a sharp pain in the centre of my chest when I bend over or move my arms and sometimes it's either a dull ache or ice pick pains. If her chest pain is still there tomorrow book her into the GP - I think mine maybe Costochondritis but I don't have most symptoms and GPs UK & Germany passed it off as bad posture or anixety. Best to check her out and ease your worries than leave it.

All kids have slept pretty well tonight, up due to the a-team needing a tandem feed.

Night ladies xx

shabbs · 05/03/2014 11:01

Morning girls xx

Feel a bit better Mamma - thank you.

How you doing Trips?

bubby64 · 05/03/2014 12:19

Sorry I wasnt on here top help last night Trips, last rehersal befor choir concert tonight, and then straight to bed when I got home as knackered from a very busy day and knowing I had to be at work for 6.30 this morning (OH Dr coming in to do his surgery, and I, like a lemon, agreed to cover!)
It sounds as if it is just heartburn, you mentioned upthread her eating habits have been bad lately, and she has been rushing her food as well, If she had some acid reflux, it will continue for a while despite gaviscon, because it would have burned the top of the stomach, bottom of the oesophagus, above where the gaviscon would settle to work, IYSWIM. Hope she is ok now, but if it happens again, also try bread and milk.
Shabs- Hope you are recovering, pleurasy is horrible, I have had it in the past as well.
Mama- If you think about it, you have had quite a few changes this week, the A team home, then blueA back to hospital, your b/day, your dad visiting, not to mention the tension between your DH and inlaws, the kids will pick up on all of this and become unsettled, hopefully, now there arnt any distractions, they all will settle again.
Soks - How are you love?
I have been asked to a 2nd interview on Friday pm for the senior nurse managers job I went for last week, fingers crosssed for that, I also saw my ankle consultant yesterday, she feels there is not much more she can do as I am unwilling/unable to have another op at the present time, but she is referring me to orthopaedic appliences to see if they can help more, so I am just dosing up on painkillers and hoping that i dont limp too much at interviews, I want to play my disability down at the moment, not highlight it!

triplets · 05/03/2014 13:56

Hi thanks for your excellent advice Bubbs, you always sound so reassuring:) She was still the same this morning so got her an appt. Doc says def acid problem and has given her meds..............but she has been in tears an can`t swallow it, made herself sick! So awaiting call to see if he can prescribe something else. Been so worried! Must dash old friend just arrived! x

MultipleMama · 05/03/2014 20:32

Are they those gastro tablets? Massive horse size ones? Those ate horrible but they are amazing. Is she able to cut them in half and try that way, or my brother's personal favourite. Crush the tablet between spoons, and then put it on your tongue and swallow lots of water afterwards. Hope she feels better soon!

triplets · 05/03/2014 21:42

Hi all. Doc gave her same stuff but in liquid form, dont ask me what its called, my head wont absorb anything today. She has to take 20m twice a day, the fuss is quite shocking she could win a Bafta! I have felt really blue all day, cant shake it off. It was lovely though to see my friend this afternoon, she was my Homestart volunteer 16 yrs ago! We had a lot to catch up on, I told her I needed Homestart now!! Just feeling abit fed up with life atm, feel I desperately need a break, and by that I mean from dh and the kids. Just want to be me, alone doing what I want when I want. My sil is on holiday atm in Goa with a bunch of girls, shes back on Sat, her dh has gone to Malta so she is home alone next week. She txt me today and said why dont I escape next week and meet up and stay the night, she lives in north London. Id love to, bit of sight seeing, glass of wine at lunch time, etc. But I feel I darent even mention it, it would be ......"yes we all need a break". Last time we went away was last Aug for 4 nights in Norfolk where I broke the toilet seat!!! Anyway enough self pity! Bubbs good luck for Frid with the interview, you so deserve to get it. Mama hope things are settling down for you, how you remain so upbeat I dont know. How are things with the in laws?
Shabs are you starting to feel better? How is our Lew?
And finally, "where the hell is that Rubester?"

MultipleMama · 06/03/2014 02:43

Trips, so glad you have things sorted :) As for being upbeat, I put on a brave face, I get through the rough days with a smile even if it's forced and breakdown on DH at night. Relations with the PiL's are tense. We are on speaking terms but they've yet to call to arrange a visit even when we've extended the olive branch and asked them to come for Sunday dinner - which they turned down as it's tradition to have a family meal at their's, we said we'd come if they accomated to Apollo's needs (if people plan to hold or go near him to not smoke until after we leave and to wear no perfumes) but was told I was just being difficult. You'd think I was asking them to stop the world turning. Honestly, I'm fed up. DH is taking the DC up on Sunday so they can have some of their routine back and hang with family. DH, I and the a-team will be having a babymoon day. Poor BiL is stuck in middle but he's been grear and said he'll set up a family meeting; him, DH and PiL. Urgh.

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 06/03/2014 08:00

Wonder if rubes is playing hide and seek with Joshua (stands facing wall shouting I hidin')

We're good here. Getting reasonable nights sleep for the best part of the last week. James has even slept on several occasions past 5am!!! Off to OT with him today.

Jen is my little funny monkey ATM. She is very, very huggy. Keeps climbing my lap as soon as I sit down. None of mine have done this at their age so I'm enjoying it while it lasts any excuse not to do housework

Can't believe they will be 2 in less than a month.

Chopstheduck · 06/03/2014 10:27

aww soks! My jack used to do that, especially when out in public! Used to stick his head in clothes rails thinking no one could see him.

So tired! DH has started snoring again, which isn't helping matters. He needs to go on a diet. Rav's school came first in the boys x country yesterday, another race this afternoon.

Mama, hopefulyl everything will soon settle down, lots of changes for everyone, bound to take a little time x

Trips, hope your dd is feeling better today. Mine is the same with the dramatics!

good luck with the second interview, bubby!

Hope you are feeling a bit better, Shabs, sounds nasty :(

MultipleMama · 06/03/2014 13:10

Dieter spoke English!!! After 5 weeks of refusing to speak English, he asked, "pictures, mama?" Which basically means he wants me to draw pictures on his arms so he has tattoos like DH.

SiL is coming to visit today so I'll have 8 kids i the house... Shock

triplets · 06/03/2014 14:32

Shabs hope you are ok? See I miss you being first to say good morning!

bubby64 · 06/03/2014 17:23

Hi ladies
Trips - glad DD is ok, and if you manage to escape, can I come too??
Mama - well I hope now things have settled down a bit you can get some time to catch your breath and actually enjoy haveing your family all together, and you DBiL is lovely for trying to keep the peace.
Soks-I loved the cuddly stage, and also the hide and seek is very familiar.
Shabs- hope you are better
Chops- Wow! well done to your DS for the x-country
Just had another call from the agency, another nearby N/Home have contacted them, and also want to see me tomorrow for a senior nurse job. Its about 5miles further away, but the pay they are offering is better, I am going before the 2nd interview for the 1st job, as I want to see what the place is like before I have to make any decisions.! I can't believe that I am being *headhunted" like this, very good for my self esteem, which, tbh, has been at a very low ebb lately.
Meanwhile, J has come home v upset, as he apparently was pushed to the ground, and kicked and punched during lunch at school today. I have already had the head of year on the phone about it, and they are investigating tomorrow, but the Principle is already involved as it appears that the incident was caught on their CCTV, and a teacher got involved after witnessing it. This is an on-going thing between 2 local boys and J, and has been going on since primary, and J has not been al together innocent at times, it has got more physical. However, this time, at least, it looks like the other boys started things in an unprovoked attack, so I hope it gets sorted tomorrow.
