...When juggling kids, family, home, school and work?
I know, I know, feeble effort, but I really don't know where my year has gone! Its towards the end of February now, past half term for most of us, and I don't even seem to have blinked!
We were celebrating DH's birthday today, and I'm sure he had his last one only a couple of months ago, or thats how it seems to me.
As for the years since my 2 were born, well, they seem to have gone in a blink of an eye.

Mm tell me about it, Shabs! I've had heating on full, windows open, trying to dry four loads of laundry on the radiators!

Grrrrrrrrrr my dearest bestest friend just phoned from Cornwall. She bought a dolls house off of EBAY nr us and is driving up to collect it this week. She has booked 2 nights b&b in Deal but could stay three but doesnt want to be a pain, which she never is to me. I said perhaps on Sat she and her dh could help DK put up our trailer tent as it needs a small repair before we sell it. It is such hard work to do, very heavy and dk has 2 hernias and has been told NOT to risk doing anything that might make them worse before surgery. When told him he exploded, really angry with me and said he doesnt need their help, he can do it and will do it when hes ready. I said I thought of him when I suggested it as he darent risk it, he said I just cant wait to get rid of the tent, and stormed out of the room swearing and bawling at me. I just get soooooooooo angry, part of it is because he doesnt want her here, although he is fond of her and she has been a bloody good friend to us both. Only 2 weeks ago she subbed us some money so we could get our new car. I feel as though I am not to have a life of my own, I am 60, bloody 60 and should be able to look forward to seeing my best friend, but dread it because of him. We see each other once a year normally, but she sirprised me in March by driving up to be with me on my b/day as we weren`t doing anything. Is it me? I feel at times like giving up. Never appreciated, never thanked, always doing little surprises for everybody else and I ask for nothing. Oh I am sooo Angry

Aww trips :(

Do you think maybe he is still stressed with everything impending? It seems like everythings is so hard on you all at the moment?

triplets · 07/05/2012 22:19

Exactly Rubes, he will be Mr Charming himself........until he gets tired, usually after several gins. I honestly know its got nothing to do with his illness, he was like it before. In the day he is lovely, come 6pm he is awful. It just gets me down.

shabbapinkfrog · 07/05/2012 22:23

I am more than willing to defend you and lie for you to the police. Tell him, if he is not careful, I will call for t'Wigan crew and we will all come down and camp out in your back garden....and WE WILL come armed with tripe, cowheel, meat and tater pies, and lashings and lashings of VIMPTO....and YES thats how it is spelt and said up t'North!!

triplets · 08/05/2012 22:46

Evening ladies.........not the best of days here. Went to the hosp podiatry dept with my poor mum, saw her toes for the first time under the bandages. It is looking likely she may have to have 2 amputated, she has a blocked artery in her leg and its cutting off the blood supply to her toes. She has to see a vascular consultant on Thurs and he may want an angiogram done. Poor Mum, at 84 its not nice. Then at lunchtime today DK (who has tried to be nice to me all day) got a call from the lung surgeon in Kings. He has decided after reviewing the ct scan they did last Thurs that ablation to remove the tumour is now not possible and it will be open lung surgery in 2 weeks time. It took him weeks to recover from his last one as the incision is across his back and he couldn`t sleep or sit in a chair comfortably...............aint life grand??

shabbapinkfrog · 09/05/2012 07:06

Morning girls xx

So sorry to hear about your Mums problems Trips....getting old is not a great thing is it? I hope she soon gets sorted out xx

ChopstheScarletduck · 09/05/2012 07:25

oh trips :( So sorry to hear things aren't going well.

DS1 is off to his first school residential. I think I'm more nervous than him! He has been away with the boys brigade before, so he is purely excited. I'm nervous cos I don't trust the school to meet his needs properly. :( He will prob come home in full metdown mode.

Hi all. No bloody internet over weekend, so sorry for absence.
Trips - so sorry you have had such bad news over the last few days, but glad you will get to see your friend, just carry on with her visit and ignor DK
Chops- what comp sites do you use, are you on just one, or several??
Ruby- My 2 are off on sailing weekend soon with Scouts-I have to get them wetsuits (am trying to borrow a couple, but they have to fit right)
Crap BH weekend, no internet, DH has ulcerative pharengitis (his throat is covered in pus oozing raw patches) so he has been miserable as hell and still off work, got to see ENT consultant tomorrow. Rained almost continually, and we were due to be on a classic car run, but engine STILL not back together, so money paid out for entry fees down the drain, this is also causing angst with DH. Kids getting in a stew over SATS, but at least they have got their new glasses, so can see properly (found out 2 weeks ago they inherited my poor eyesight Sad, and went to visit mum, and she asked me when DH and I were getting married! Altzheimers is a really cruel disease, she couldnt remember who her favorite neice was when she visited last weekSadSad.
Come on someone- have some good news - please!
