...When juggling kids, family, home, school and work?
I know, I know, feeble effort, but I really don't know where my year has gone! Its towards the end of February now, past half term for most of us, and I don't even seem to have blinked!
We were celebrating DH's birthday today, and I'm sure he had his last one only a couple of months ago, or thats how it seems to me.
As for the years since my 2 were born, well, they seem to have gone in a blink of an eye.

Read Esther's blog. She is so eloquent but I still can't imagine what she must be going through :(

Have not been up to anything different, just working, being a pillar of the community etc etc! I work from home so have to force myself to stay away from Mumsnet etc or else I just get nothing done! I thought I would come back on after reading Estar's blog again.....having met her at the mini meet up in 2009 (I think that's when it was, or 2008?) I can say she was just the most lovely, calm, together person I think I had ever met. I can't imagine what she and her family are going through, it breaks my heart. Wish there was something we could do, however small.

Can someone tell me what's happened here to you lot in the last few months then?! Come on Shabs, a round up is required! Where is MArs, and Momma and Pixi etc etc etc...?

shabbapinkfrog · 24/04/2012 20:16

Just seen this message on FB from Estars hubby.....

Has been doing lots of planning and negotiating towards getting some day / weekend release time today. A few hurdles to jump medically and beuracratically but heading in the right direction. Encouragingly Daniel has had his best 2 days of the last fortnight with no seizure intervention and less shakiness so keep on praying people. We'd never have been considering home visits just a few days ago. 'Lord, your will be done!'

triplets · 24/04/2012 22:32

Hi everyone................its all so heart breaking xx
Round up? Where is our Queen of round ups......................FG come out come out wherever you are!

Nothing exciting to report from the Peace camp HM. Dk (Shabs will explain that abbreviation) has to go into hosp next Weds to have a lung tumour removed. We have just had a logburner put in which is bliss, changed our 16yr old Galaxy at last, trio all dreadful teens, one boy shaving, I have a broken tooth and have had a very big b/day.
See............................boring!

triplets · 25/04/2012 06:44

Morning Shabs, morning girls xx

Chopstheduck · 25/04/2012 07:47

Morning girls

What did you go for in the end to replace the galaxy, trips?

Will be keeping everything crossed for Daniel to get his home visit.

Hi All, I hope Estar manages to have little Daniel home for a few days, I am praying for them to get some good news Sad.
Hi HM, welcome back, Chops- hope you get tooth sorted today, Shabs, of course you will find something! But go for the colour and style that suits you, if it's green, so be it, it is better to be happy in the outfit you are going to wear, I know Em is the bride, but you are still the grooms Mum, and its important you feel your best on his big day.
Trips- are you ok love??
Bullying has continued, so DH went down school Monday with all guns blazing, and spoke to head and form tutor. Mike was called in, and it turned out there was a lot more going on than he had said anything about before, and involved other kids and was quite serious! A proper investigation was started yesterday, and now one of the ringleaders has had his parents called in and is under threat of suspension. How could the school have missed this going on? It's not a big school, only 120 kids, there must have been some indications!!

Morning girls xx

fookin' bloody Virgin media or as the lying swine engineer calls it 'Wurgin media!!!' 'Your internet will be on by 8am madam!!!' Except, no, of course it wasn't!!

Bubby I hope everything gets sorted very soon at school. Tom had a similar thing in year 8 that made him very depressed...yes, I know, he was only 12 years old but he was way beyond sad.

Have just had a very crawling apologetic phonecall from the school head. He has said he is sorry he didnt belive Mike on Monday, and had told him off for "causing trouble". He has also apologised to Mike himself. I hope this is the end of it, as it had been getting Mike very down, I know realise what why Mike has been so depressed this last few months, not just down, but, as Shabs said about her Tom, proper clinical depression, talking of killing himself and everything! My friend said, "its actually a hard job being a kid", and she is right! All the trouble due to a little shit being a ringleader, and other kids joining in. This boy did lose his dad last year in a motorcycle accident (blokes own fault), but he was a little shit even before he lost his dad, and has been given a lot more leeway because of this, and he took complete advantage of the situation.
Bloody weather- yep, Rubes, hosepipe ban doing its job really well here too -chucking it down for past 5 days, so cold I put heating back on, despite the horrendous price of oil.

aww bubby I do hope it is the end of it for him. Some schools really are shite! Are they going to offer him any support now to help with his depression?

I'm bloody freezing and the heating has barely been off here. I'm sat with a blanket over my knees like a granny Grin

bubby64 · 25/04/2012 14:14

I dont think the school realise how low his mood has been, as he disguises it well at school. I said something, but I dont think it really registered. As he only has about 8weeks left at the school, I feel they are not really interested!
We have had minor issues with the school before, but nothing this bad. TBH, glad he is moving up to High School now. They are going to a "Crucial Crew" thing on friday, and apparently that covers bullying and its effects, so hope this will give him some insight that its not just him, but lots of kids go through something like this.
Another call from school, Football practice has been cancelled as pitch now looks like a swimming pool! Drip Drip Drop, little April Showers my arse!

Hopefully their senior school will be better, bubby. Our juniors was really crap at all that, and really knocked dd's confidence. She has been doing so much better since going to the senior school. I was chatting to a teacher, and they were saying their school has far better resources, being that much bigger.

The same teacher is bringing dd some uggs in that her dd has outgrown for dd, and another teache invited her to a special group to try out all different sports cos dd wa shy about joining sports groups. I love her school at the moment!

I just wish the boys weRent going up to the aforementioned juniors this September!

triplets · 25/04/2012 22:02

Sorry to hear about all this bullying, its a really nasty thing, yet always seems to slip thru the net! Finally got to the dentist today, he has smoothed off the broken crown and said it can possibly stay like that, it make last it may not. Options are new crown in gold or silver (yuk)@£209 or a white one which I would love @£500!!! So for now its a smoothed off crown! Not happy with my dd atm, she was given a project to do last Nov, had to be handed in today, told me she had finished it at school. Came out of the dentist and got a text from her teacher to say if its not completed by Frid she will get detention. Too light a punishment in my book...................all that time, every week I asked her what she had done...................she has a bad attitude atm!
The car is a Toyota Avensis Estate, we just couldn`t afford another MPV, kids are going to hate it sitting together, they will argue, but they did in the Galaxy...................tough!
Have you all had this foul weather, we have had everything today, sleet, thinder, hail, strong wind, rain and a lovely rainbow!

bubby64 · 25/04/2012 22:37

Been on the news about a mini tornado near us! Rain, sleet, high winds thunder and lightning. And we are in a hosepipe ban area!

Morning all. Showers continue here, with occasional bursts of brillient sunshine.
Trips- hope the tooth has settled. As for your DD, what else can you do but keep asking- I can just see this happening with DS2, as it is, I know what needs doing, and I keep nagging until its done, even if its done badly (like this week!) It got sent home with him again, and he complained bitterly, but I said I had told him it was poor work, so it is his fault. He then said it was MY fault, as i hadnt helped himShock. I had helped him, I just hadnt told him what to write line by flipping lineHmm. Having these extreamly long periods to get projects done doesnt do anyone any favours, as it always feels that you have ages, then suddenly the deadline its here. I think they would be better breaking it into smaller deadlines, but still, if you have kids like your DD and my DS2, it prob wouldnt make that much difference, it would still not get done!
