D'y ever wonder where the time goes....

...When juggling kids, family, home, school and work?
I know, I know, feeble effort, but I really don't know where my year has gone! Its towards the end of February now, past half term for most of us, and I don't even seem to have blinked!
We were celebrating DH's birthday today, and I'm sure he had his last one only a couple of months ago, or thats how it seems to me.
As for the years since my 2 were born, well, they seem to have gone in a blink of an eye.

Tomorrow I have a whole day to myself!!! Dh at work, ds3 has his first full day at preschool and the rest are at school!!!

So excited

right oooggs, you just enjoy it, NO housework, have the whole day to yourself, be indulgent:)

Lew got his letter offering him a place at the primary school that was their number one choice So September will be the beginning of a new phase in his and our lives. Scary to think that he is almost 4....not sure who stole that time but some bugger did

Hi All, Shabs you won't know what to do with yourself! Chops glad everything is ok with DH, Trips we refused to get the BBguns, as other older kids around here have them, and have been using ball bearings as pellets- someone got shot in the arm and had to have the pellet taken out by the hospital, so don't want my 2 getting involved in this at all. Their best mate got a Nerf gun for his birthday yesterday, so they spent the whole day 'round his house playing Nerf wars - peace and quiet for an afternoon as DH was still out trying to get this bloody engine finished,(I swear it has become like painting the Forth bridge - neverending!) and the work phone went quiet, I was able to relax with a cup of tea and a nice film, dogs and cats also came out of hiding for a few hours as well!!.
Oooggs and Ruby - Sooooo glad they went back to school, and to cap it all, no packed lunches needed to be made today as sausage&mash on the menu, with choc crunch for pud!

Can't wait for tomorrow, when I will be at home by myself - indulgence indicated

Evening girls.............conversation at the supper table tonight.
Me: Well Becca what did you do at school today?
Becca: Why do you ask such boring questions, I dunno!
Me: Thomas, what did you do today?
Thomas: Nothing.
Me: Ok James please tell me something you enjoyed at school today.
James: My packed lunch.

And I keep telling them these are the best years of their lives:o

H has not had a good day. He had an appt for a routine check up with the bowel surgeon. He told him he thinks he may have a hernia as he can feel a swelling nr to where they reversed the ileostomy. Surgeon examines him and says he has in fact two large hernias that both need surgery. As he is going to London on the 2nd May for surgery to remove a lung tumour, he will have to wait at leat 6 weeks after that. So he is making him an appt to see him again early July and then have him in for major abdominal surgery.............again. It will be 6-8 weeks recovery, bang goes the summer holidays...............again. He is very fed up!

Sorry to hear about H Trips....sometimes it seems that one bad thing is closely followed by another doesn't it? Sending my love to you and H tonight.

Aww poor dh, trips :( that is crappy.

Tbh I never know what the older kids get up to at school. Ds rabbits on about football, or GTA. I know he shouldn't be playing GTA at 9, but sod it, there isn't much he is interested in. Dd mostly goes on about her friends or Thorpe Park I tend to ignore smile nicely and nod at both of them!

The dts on the other hand come home teaching ME stuff! I really hope they stay that way.

Hope the ops go well and pants about the summer holidays again trips

On the other hand your conversations with dts is a probable thing for us to come!!

Afternoon....................freezing here, wet, horrible. Last April was lovely, beginning to feel I need some sun! Just going to scour the web for cheapest gas/electric, insurance deals.............dead boring but we need to save some money! Any tips??
