A friend of a friend has just been stopped for speeding, doing 101mph on the dual carriageway fof the A3

Can anyone tell me what her ban and fine will be please?

ooohh bollocks, to my knowledge over 100 on a motor way is an instant ban. I imagion would have the £60 fine as well, dual carriage way would be the same wouldn't it??

BadHair · 11/04/2005 17:40

Would have thought she'd get at least three points and a £60 fine. Wouldn't have thought she'd be banned unless she already has a load of points and the new ones put her over the 12 point limit.
I'm just guessing though.

4 years ago my dh was caught doing 98mph on the M1 and only got £60 fine and 3 points

He was very lucky though.

lou33 · 11/04/2005 21:36

wow, he seems v lucky. From what I can work out online, this silly girl ahs a high chance of being banned and a fine and points. WOuld serve her right tbh, can't imagine what would be important enough to be doing 101mph for.

Lou33,
An ex collegue was over 100mph on the moterway and got caught by a camera. Once he received the details etc, there was a peice in the paper about a proffessional footballer or someone like that who was over the 100mph limit, and only got fined and points.
My excollegue had the same!!!

Turns out this girl has only been driving for 18m, does that make a difference?
