I've been to two success days. I 'qualified' for free tickets for both of them. I've still got my free ticket for the November one, but I'm not sure I'll be very welcome 😂
It is like stepping into another universe and they are most definitely cult like. Booming music, high fives and hugs everywhere you look. Screaming, shouting, whooping and chanting 'one team, one goal' over and over again. The hero worshipping of the leaders, especially Bloodsucker (I love the names you have all given them). They fawn all over her and would literally lick the shit off her shoes. And then, there is the recognition. Parading around on the stage, with your stupid sash on. And it's all a scam!! I have 2 sashes for achieving 'active supervisor'. Not because I did actually achieve that but purely so headband could collect the photos. Now, because she wasn't at the first one as she was throwing up and only the red one who never smiles and me were there, at the 2nd one headband made me do it all again, along with 3 others in her team who hadn't achieved it either, so she could get the photo with us all wearing our sashes. I said I wasn't going up there again and she practically dragged me to the stage.
The second one was held at the Ricoh arena in July. That was a light bulb moment for me, when I really did start to see through it all. The special guest was flown in from South Africa and she was huge and I mean huge. If you've seen any pictures of her, they really don't show just how big she is - "yes", she said, " I'm....a....big, black...... African......woman.....but....I have.....no......health.....issues". Everyone in the room was cheering and clapping and I'm thinking "except for the fact that she can't walk, talk and breathe at the same time". For me, it was embarrassing.
The 'success' stories all start to sound the same. Single parent, hate job, low income, bullied, blah, blah, blah. And let's not forget the merch. Queuing for hours to buy a cap or a keyring. Headband has the Forever trainers, btw. The red one spent over £200 on merch!!
That was the day I decided I would do the markets I'd already paid for but then I was out. I told headband that was my plan, and of course, she tried to persuade me otherwise 'you're made for Forever, go back to your why', etc. In the meantime, I started researching. Initially, I focused on the ingredients because I'd already had concerns about some of the products. They are literally all garbage. One product in their whole range can be legitimately called natural and that's the original drinking gel. I noticed that the ingredients listed on the website were not the same as those on the actual packaging. Missing from the website were all the most harmful ingredients. Then I instinctively asked Google this question " Is Forever Living uk financially stable?" And here we are today.
