I‘m old enough to remember the heyday of Forever Living, when Success Days were held at the Ricoh Arena and dozens and dozens of women paraded across the stage in ‘supervisor’ or ‘manager’ sashes in front of a packed, whooping audience.i think they were having these events every month at the height of the recruitment frenzy, when downlines were growing rapidly.
My friend, who became mesmerised by Homeschool, was one of them, and photos of her were all over her social media, looking thrilled and feeling special as she had her name announced, shook hands with the country manager and got her sash. FL always had photographers there taking great looking shots and the bots felt famous and ‘recognised’ (I was taken aback when I kept reading the word ‘recognised’ as it seemed so weird ‘I never got recognised in my JOB’ )
They all had to pay to attend, of course, plus all expenses, and FL flogged them lots of product and merch while they were there (Weird Willy confessed in one video that he could hardly afford to go to a Success Day and went to talk about how brilliantly his business was doing)
They also had to listen to higher up bots telling their ‘story’ (childminder to 6 figure earner/ corporate career to time freedom and willable income/ replaced income and sacked the boss in 2 weeks)
’Sack the boss’ - that’s another telltale phrase along with ‘retire my husband’ and ‘laptop lifestyle’ . ‘Fell in love with the products’ ‘be a product of the products’ too. I remember Uber’s schtick was to tell the audience to get a black bin bag and go round the house and bin anything that could be replaced by a FL product. ‘Be your own best customer’
How obvious could it be that they just wanted bots to spend their own money!
All accompanied by loud music, flashing lights and compulsory whooping
I assume the current crop of bots who attend Success Days have no idea how times have changed as they go to an office block in Solihull on a Saturday and fill a few rows of chairs
I hope Forever Living continues to fail and I can’t wait till they call it a day in the UK
Sadly, Bloodsucker and others have seen this coming and have built new downlines in Africa - absolutely vile.
i note that the CEO and Chairman are travelling the world, making appearances at rallies to motivate the bots, even more so now there are no such events in the US
