ser @Missm68, stop sending money to this woman. Once you get your money from her, report to trading standards for running an illegal lottery.

whattheysay · 05/04/2026 17:00

Stop sending her money for a start. She can’t give you proof of the transaction because she did not send it. She didn’t send it before either.

Justnetballandcoffee · 05/04/2026 17:01

OP I wouldn't give this woman your money. If she's paid you she can give you details of the payment so you can check with your bank. If she refuses say you need this to get your bank to investigate where the payment has gone. I don't think she's sent it and I imagine the whole thing is a scam. Pay her on PayPal only.

AlphaApple · 05/04/2026 17:03

You are a total idiot. I don’t say this often but you deserve to lose this money because you are literally giving money to strangers with no safeguards.

You might as well be throwing fivers out of a car window.

firstofallimadelight · 05/04/2026 17:08

You say you know her. Do you mean you actually know her in real life, like you have met her? Or do you mean you know her because for the last 6 years you have given her money and won prizes?
You do understand it’s a scam? She pays out for smal prizes and offers credit/ lies to get out of the bigger prizes.

she's not a stranger I know the girl as she's been to my home to drop my winnings off.many times in 6 years it's only the second time it's happened to me. she keeps telling me she will sort it but every time I msg her she just says banks on to it.

You're being scammed.

Paying by PayPal is real money.

She pays out small amounts to keep you playing and sending her more money.

Please don't send another penny. And report her to the police on the non urgent line.

This reply baffles me.
I'm not sure you know how PayPal works.

No matter how you transfer money to her it's still money in real terms, so just stop sending via PayPal....or any other means, and no being worried she won't then pay you your £200 is not an excuse to carry on paying her as it looks like that's not going to happen.

Justnetballandcoffee · 06/04/2026 11:00

Can you make a claim via PayPal @op ? I'm not sure how it works since it's a betting type thing but you can raise a dispute perhaps which is the reason I asked.

Put a post in the group asking if anyone else has had a problem with winnings being paid.

a few ppl say she's late to pay out but eventually got it.

I'm trying to find out if her page is registered. I know she has a business account and her own private account but can't seem to find any information on her page etc

Come on OP, have you actually read and understood anything which has been posted? This is an illegal lottery. She won't be "registered" in any way. Because it's illegal to offer gambling in this way. Paying a randomer through Paypal gives you no protection. You do not know her, she is a casual acquaintance. Good luck taking her to court.

Seriously.🙄

Wow, I thought this was going to be a work syndicate. Just play the national lottery or postcode lottery or something. This woman sounds scammy as hell.
