I read somewhere (can’t remember where) that the creator of Tropic is going to be a Dragon on Dragons’ Den (possibly just a guest one). I don’t watch it but is Deborah Meaden still on it? She is not a fan of MLM and quick to spot it lurking among the contestants - I think it was her who called out two very sweaty and nervous Kangan manhuns. I know Tropic distances itself from other MLM and there has been some attempt to avoid some of the ways MLMs generally operate but I am not sure it has been a total success given the number of gentle enquiries my FB persona has had about selling Tropic.

She’s struggling big time. How is a FB group loads of added value? Isn’t there a community section on the app that isn’t an app? Yes there is.

@dickiedavisthunderthighs I hate to use the expression ‘just get a job’ but I think actually having zero proper traction is worse for your self esteem ( and probably income) than an ordinary job -

I agree completely. This endless pivoting from one strategy to another must be absolutely exhausting. She wants (and needs) instant results for income, but these things take years and years of relentless work to turn a profit.

The fitness group is faring better in comparison, but that only has 26 members (2 admin) so assuming all of those are paying, thats £479 per month. That's then split between two people so £239 per month. The income per hour must be about 10p.

7 members?! Oh dear. 26 members in Ten Pence an Hour wellness group and 34 people in the Unlucky Club who are either dormant/fictitious or are the 34 who make up the 26 and the 7 in the other groups + her mum = 34. At least, there is some doubling up across those groups without a doubt. It’s no good shape-shifting and doing an impression of buoyant activity if no one is looking (except Botwatchers and some smirking FLP bots).

Do we think she might be forced to return to the industry she allegedly loves in some other MLM? She will find it a shadow of its former self if she does and I suspect her approach is past its sell-by date anyway. I think she will do anything to avoid getting a job as it would be such a massive climb down after all she has said about conventional employment and the fibs she has maintained about her career style income, total financial freedom etc etc (FLP still has her video saying these things in the private group). Plus a job would, as we have said many times, remove the source of validation, reducing her to just another worker who doesn’t get pretend recognition or celebration for doing their job (but they are paid). Mr Y must be worried about where it’s all leading.

@dickiedavisthunderthighs she would make more a month from a Saturday job at Boots - with far less effort ( and she can still go glammed up) don’t get me wrong £250 or so a month is a nice add on - it’s not a job - however we might be underestimating if some of those unlucky club people are also paying separately - she might be getting as much as £500 to £700 a month - it’s still not exactly ‘6 figure incomes and financially independent’ !! You need thousands of members paying monthly to get to anything like a proper job’ income - maybe if it was a Tik tok kind of thing and £4 a month she might manage to get the figures up - people will often pay £4 a month for something they like the look of and has value - - they won’t pay £20 for something they can get for free ( or £4) elsewhere

Crikey, Yawn’s insta / facebook stories from 4hrs ago make her look very emotional, her eyes look very teary. Fair enough it looks like she may be on a house horse walk but it’s not really the biting cold weather that can make your eyes water

The other ‘message’ on her stories is using the bot tried-and-tested fake message template which always gives itself away by the ‘unread message’ divider.

I'd stopped watching Nurse a while ago but happened to watch her Insta this morning. She talks far too much detail about her work, what she does and more concerningly what other colleagues do. Its unprofessional and intrusive. If I was a colleague and listened to her ramblings, I would lodge a formal complaint.

Thank you for replying. Yes I told my friends I didn't have funds and wasn't prepared to get into debt from it. I told them to go have fun, seeing as they have plenty of funds to play with. They seemed OK with that reply.

I'm wondering if part of them signing up, they are told to recruit as many people as possible... I feel bad that I can't talk them out of it. They genuinely are pretty minted though, I hope they enjoy the process. I've told them to report back to me how they find it. (I'm hoping they realise its a bit of a scam)
