Hey Yawn that plant you think is pretty pink/purple flower is actually a Foxglove and is hugely poisonous to your dogs (and you to be fair). Probs best if you remove it but at least stop that House Horse digging in the flowerbed next to it. You're welcome!

Spongebobette · 02/06/2024 17:00

It sounds as though Nurse has been spending a lot of time inside the ‘academy’ talking to others who are signed up to it and discussing how to position her business

YouOKHun · 02/06/2024 17:29

@Spongebobette what better place to decide the way forward for your business than discuss it with others who have paid good money to the academy? Ideal mentors!

The conclusion they arrived at was that if you sit in a quiet corner of social media talking about going to the supermarket and how stressful your job is while offering coaching to anyone who listens and that isn’t working, then the solution is to sit in a quiet corner of social media talking about going to the supermarket and having a chill day AND then narrow down your offering to anyone who happens to be listening who also happens to be embarking on IVF. That is a surefire fast track to success - Warren Buffett eat your heart out.

I suspect people are safe from Nurse’s coaching endeavours and the worst outcomes will be for her and her DS if and when she quits her job on the back of this latest pipe dream. It did occur to me that the drift towards a more “wellness” flavour to her coaching will no doubt attract Speccy and Yawn with the suggestion she adds a bogus nutritional element to her coaching. I’m sure a daily intake aloe vera and collagen will be essential if you really want IVF to work. I absolutely wouldn’t put it past any of them.

It’s the assumption that because she’s been through it (successfully!!) she can coach others??

coaching surely isn’t the right word here is it?

some will sadly be unsuccessful despite their efforts - I bloody hope she doesn’t bring in the notion of manifestation and law of attraction

Spongebobette · 02/06/2024 17:42

Imagine listening to her ‘story’- she’s told it before

i was determined and never gave up so I had a baby in the end

not a great message for those struggling with fertility

YouOKHun · 02/06/2024 17:59

I agree @Spongebobette. Magical thinking has no place anywhere but particularly not in such a sensitive area. I notice she’s emphasising IVF coaching for women specifically but what if the woman has a partner? She can’t leave men out of the equation! I also agree that experiencing something doesn’t qualify anyone to help someone having an entirely different experience of the same situation. What matters is being trained and supervised properly in a role.

I wonder if she has Googled what is already on offer for psychological support before, during and after IVF? For example the British Infertility Counselling Association trained and BACP accredited counsellors available close to her hometown as well as online.

Spongebobette · 02/06/2024 18:18

It’s concerning that she thinks she is equipped to support someone who may go through a traumatic experience

is she really able to advise someone undergoing IVF or is this just a listening ear offer?

it’s a long way from ‘wellbeing’ and ‘self love’

SecretSquirrel2025 · 03/06/2024 01:30

That looks like a completely normal leg and straight spade doesn't it... 😂😂😂

Who digs a garden in those shoes? One wrong move and you'll slice your foot in half..... unless Yawn is just doing yet another photo shoot😆

Spongebobette · 03/06/2024 06:42

She said they have half an acre of garden but last year said they have 2 acres

Is this what they call "shrinkage"? Grin

Thanks for starting new fred, @YouOKHun . I couldn't find it so started one myself but then found it so deleted mine. Had not noticed we were even near the end of the other thread Shock.

notgettinganyyounger · 03/06/2024 11:18

Shrinking like her business

BSintolerant · 03/06/2024 11:23

@ItWasnaMeGuv 🤣

Yawn’s missed a trick there:

”I lost one and a half acres!” #askmehow

That’s one loss she doesn’t have to photoshop.

Contraryjane · 03/06/2024 12:49

There’s no way that garden is 2 acres

Is Nurse copying and pasting her info on ivf coaches..her latest post this morning seems very American in its language/ spelling

Spongebobette · 03/06/2024 13:12

I’m not on her coaching group as I had been blocked on her personal account

I can’t believe that all the members of that group need an IVF coach and I do wonder how many are bot watchers? Plus all the ‘academy’ members who join each others’ groups…

YouOKHun · 03/06/2024 13:34

@Contraryjane ”that garden”?? I’ll think you’ll find that the patch of ground sprinkled liberally with dog shit has been referred to as “the farmhouse’s gardens”, as if it’s a National Trust property with a majestic lawn sweeping down to a distant folly! Folly is definitely an apt word but not to describe the contents of the gardens.

I do wonder if any of her followers who have been following her for six months to year ever notice some of her inconsistencies? Do they ever notice the pixelated limbs or distorted shovels/floorboards? Do they decide that a few pixels is nothing or do they put these little lies together until they can see that Yawn’s reality is actually pretty dire and one dimensional? Or do they wait until FLP burns them before they back away? I wonder how many smell a rat and distance themselves quickly.

@BSintolerant I lost one and a half acres! #askmehow 🤣. To be fair, she does have a roof garden as there is a lot of vegetation growing up there. There is also reclaimed garden which was under a big Rangey and a caravan that is now available to stroll through once you’ve finished browsing in the gift shop (mainly out of date aloe vera and old leggings). She also has the bot potty so in many ways she has the same facilities as any National Trust property.

@YouOKHun A roof garden! 🤣You’re very naughty.

@ticktock19 I wonder if nurse is using AI to produce her nontent?

ticktock19 · 03/06/2024 14:06

@Spongebobette it's in her Instagram - on a grid post....I've put a screenshot on here.

@BSintolerant - ahhh AI makes a huge amount of sense and would definitely account for the americanisms

Yeah ‘physicians’ is a giveaway

Spongebobette · 03/06/2024 14:26

I’d assume that there are support groups for people going through IVF?

why would someone pay a complete randomer for emotional support? Particularly if that person goes on about having had a successful round of IVF?

ticktock19 · 03/06/2024 14:33

Couldn't agree more, I can't see it being a success at all. She's got another interview lined up and is looking for more jobs so the whole ivf coach may not come to anything

Spongebobette · 03/06/2024 14:33

Ah yes of course. Lots.

YouOKHun · 03/06/2024 15:37

Could Nurse have used AI? I know “mom” is a regional thing in the UK but the use of “physicians” is definitely unusual. She could just have done a traditional copy and paste from a US based IVF coach having forgotten to check why they are not really a thing in the UK where a referral is made to psychological support before someone embarks on IVF in the NHS (a NICE guideline). I’m sure it’s more free form in the private sector but I bet they still offer properly qualified psychotherapists.

Anyway, I went along to her Insta to find out all about IVF coaching as I’d expect this would be discussed on an IVF coach’s social media. No, instead I’ve found out about her routine and getting her son out of bed and that she might go shopping this afternoon. This seems to be roughly the same content as before she was an IVF coach. I think she may have paid good money for the Academy course called “Being relatable on social media” but I do not want the boring bits of my life reflected back to me by having to listen to a blow by blow account of someone else’s day to day trivia.

I agree @ticktock19, this is just her own beacon of light to distract from a job she can’t really cope with and her uncertainty about life. If only she’d put her energies into examining the skills and experience she does have and how it might allow her to move into some role she can enjoy and doesn’t scare her. Even on the min wage rate part time she’d be quids in if it meant she could then drop the coaching academy and NWM.
