botwatch 81. The latest thread in a very long series about the deceptions practised by mlms. Unbelievably people are still being hooked in by these schemes where 97 of those who join lose money?

Thread 81! The scam that keeps on giving! MLM, network marking, social selling or whatever else you want to call it. It rinses you of your money, time and friends for the dream of wealth, which never happens. Why? The business model ensures that only those at the very top of the 'pyramid' stand a chance of wealth, all the rest of us just "pay to play". The dream is a nightmare. Tell your stores here.

She's utterly clueless. Good job she's a spoilt rich kid.

Sugarplum48 · 01/04/2024 14:34

It really gauls me with people like yawn. She knows she will be left a big inheritance from her clearly very wealthy parents, so it doesn't matter that she is in massive debt or that her whole life is a lie as she will in the event of their death be bailed out yet again.

I don't get the impression they're wealthy though? Even so her parents are fairly young so it could be a while she gets anything tbh

YouOKHun · 01/04/2024 19:04

If that’s really the case @Sugarplum48 she would be foolish to assume (as would anyone) that an inheritance is a given. I can think of a few people (my contemporaries [I’m 56] or a bit older) who managed their finances on the basis of a promised inheritance in the future who then found that the promises were hollow or bad financial planning, unforeseen long term illness and care needs or subsequent marriages of a parent changed, diminished or extinguished an (often large) potential inheritance. I doubt the Yawns have any kind of pension either and very little hope of getting anything going because rather than moving towards the peak of her earning powers her ability to earn anything is diminishing every day. Then there’s a directors loan which will soak up close to a quarter of a million pounds too.

I doubt she’s as confident about the future as she wants people to believe. Most of the bots must be concerned unless they have other income such as a partner’s salary propping things up. The Bloodsuckers and the Ubers are different but the hand-to-mouth “successful” bots like Yawn are not looking at a monied future.

I would measure her financial stability and confidence by the amount of short-lived schemes she comes up with to try and shore up her FLP business.

SnoogyWoo · 01/04/2024 19:11

Well according to companies house Yawn was born in 1980 so she’s telling porky pies again.

YouOKHun · 02/04/2024 10:31

Yawn doesn’t know the difference between “stats” and lies. I’m collecting her income claims and she’s making it very easy for me because she makes them every single day. Out of today’s crop of “stats” I particularly dislike the total fiction of willable income which ‘will pay your kids’. I don’t get the impression her own children are convinced.

The percentages mean nothing. 30-48% of nothing is still nothing.

NormalForNuneaton · 02/04/2024 11:53

Four free holidays a year?!

I don't think a day in a tent at HQ in the middle of winter counts as a holiday 🤣

No monthly fees? Apart from having to pay for the website I believe? And staying 4CC ‘active’?

Spongebobette · 02/04/2024 12:25

Anyone looking for a personal coach who’ll give you ‘unlimited access’ to her for a monthly fee of £150?

who will ‘hold you accountable’ for reaching your goals (perhaps if you wanted to do the couch to 5k? Or change your eating habits? ) and will call you to give you a boost?

I know just the person!

judgementfail · 02/04/2024 12:52

@Spongebobette ooh. That's interesting. That person would really have to show their techniques worked right? So someone who has demonstrably reached those goals using those techniques and knows how to coach that?
🧐

Spongebobette · 02/04/2024 13:34

Yes of course, it’s entirely reasonable to expect that 😬

Uber has also posted this.....

Angrymum22 · 03/04/2024 13:47

Yawn and her dog look far too clean to have done 5k run in the place she is posting from. The ground is currently sodden locally and the woods she uses are grim at the moment.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 03/04/2024 15:35

Yawn's also pushing a prize draw with zero t's & c's, and one of the minions has posted the same thing...

YouOKHun · 03/04/2024 16:27

regarding the draw

All you need to do is order your products as normal through my shop link & you’ll be entered into the £400 prize draw - the more times you order, the more chances you have to win

What are the chances that someone needs to spend £400 or more to end up being in with a chance of winning £400 (if anyone actually does win, who knows?). I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some editing about whose name gets the winning ticket. After all there is no transparency and no T’s & C’s as you say @dickiedavisthunderthighs and FLP have given the responsibility to the bots for what looks like a shady extortion.

Once the “lucky winner” has won less than they’ve spent they can then be used as free advertising so Yawn and FLP can remind everyone what a generous company they are.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 03/04/2024 16:42

Oh I reckon you're bang on the money there @YouOKHun .
One of the many things that the ASA would have a field day over is that the wording suggests that the £400 would go to someone who has shopped through Yawn's link. But then the same draw is up with minion's link. And no doubt more to come.

Contraryjane · 03/04/2024 18:24

Her post is misleading.
Bangs on about holidays and the freebie to Cannes.
But in fact that has nothing to do with a chance to win £400.

Her post suggests a holiday in Cannes might be the prize. Not just a “chance” to win £400.

True. You can’t see yawns legs, but the dog’s legs and chest are squeaky clean.

YouOKHun · 03/04/2024 19:18

@Contraryjane yes, it’s all very misleading.

As is the 5K dogging post. Whether she went on to run or not I think she uses the before shots in order to present her version of perfect. It’s all part of the misleading story she tells. I’m always amazed how much carefully applied make up she has for someone who is about to roll around in mud, if indeed she did go for a run. Perhaps she just drives the Not-a-Rangey to the local dogging spot, takes her filtered shots and goes home?

So far this week she has misrepresented the products’ weight loss properties, she’s told a few income opportunity lies, pushed a distinctly dodgy draw with unclear terms and misrepresented the “lifestyle” that is possible, and it’s only Wednesday. She’s not the only one but she is probably the most prolific bot liar I’ve ever seen.

Spongebobette · 03/04/2024 20:11

If you have to filter, lie, exaggerate every single day… what a very strange life

YouOKHun · 03/04/2024 20:22

@Spongebobette and probably quite depressing, especially when it is sliding away from you and your lies need ever more careful construction to conceal the truth. The inauthenticity of it must nibble away at your soul; never being able to be honest with anyone including yourself. She has such little control over her “success” which has no meaning outside the Botsphere and is controlled and directed by whatever decisions FLP make, with no protection for her sporadic earnings and no transferable skills. It must be exhausting.

Wintersgirl · 03/04/2024 20:49

It can't be good for her mental health...

PieonaBarm · 03/04/2024 21:48

2jags has taken the cash alternative to going to India apparently she couldn't make it work around school holidays and husbands shifts (who she tells us regularly works M-F in the main these days)

Spongebobette · 03/04/2024 22:10

Well that’s very significant - it’s never been an issue for her before

Tupperwarelid · 03/04/2024 22:31

Has she spent the money on the wet week in a Haven camp that she’s currently enduring?
