botwatch 81. The latest thread in a very long series about the deceptions practised by mlms. Unbelievably people are still being hooked in by these schemes where 97 of those who join lose money?

Thread 81! The scam that keeps on giving! MLM, network marking, social selling or whatever else you want to call it. It rinses you of your money, time and friends for the dream of wealth, which never happens. Why? The business model ensures that only those at the very top of the 'pyramid' stand a chance of wealth, all the rest of us just "pay to play". The dream is a nightmare. Tell your stores here.

Yes @ticktock19 and I get the feeling that , as he’s the son of an FLP bot who followed his father into the scam he is just a dyed in the wool bot himself who couldn’t really cut it outside NWM. There’s nothing professional about him or a sense that he can take a strategic overview, just that he has been sent in to be a noisy smiley coercive creator of silly little short term “promotions” and attention grabbers. It’s all so low rent.

Spot on.

Spongebobette · 21/03/2024 08:36

And certificates for everyone!!!

MrsDilligaf · 21/03/2024 09:05

It's all very quiet about the FGR. it starts on 9th April and the only mention I've seen is from Ex-BFF.

YouOKHun · 21/03/2024 11:44

There’s a good example of the gravitas and professionalism we can expect from the CM on the FLP FB page from four days ago. He emerges from FLP HQ in a green, white and orange wig and deely boppers while swigging from a can of Guinness, in a moment of “comedy”, presumably on his day off from certificate delivery.

If I was an FLP bot in Ireland I might question whether I was in good hands with someone of such questionable judgement. It reminds me of a quote from the French actor Sacha Guitry who said ‘you can pretend to be serious but you cannot pretend to be witty’.

Spongebobette · 21/03/2024 14:03

Yawn can’t pronounce feng shui properly

but has placed gold coins in a gold cup next to her desk to attract wealth so that’s all good then

(she mentioned that Mr Y has an office upstairs - presumably where he’s working hard as a contractor to earn money to replace the dwindling FL income - whatever happened to ‘retired my husband’ )

PieonaBarm · 21/03/2024 14:29

She's not feng shui'd all the shit she has adorning the walls though. Wonder what the Ancient Chinese would make of that. Although if she takes it down the Thatch might fall down with it so I guess Yawn needs to pick her battles.

YouOKHun · 21/03/2024 14:38

I hope there are a lot of gold coins in the gold cup because it’s $7k to follow the Mindset Mastery course at the company she says she is using. Naturally the course is reduced from $9999 just like you’d expect of any great seat of learning. I don’t suppose she’s got that sort of money but it’s bollocks at any price including $0. I should think Mr Yawn is probably hacked off at spending his dwindling free time rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic Yawn’s furniture in a completely pointless exercise.

I wonder if she realises how desperate this looks.

terrywynne · 21/03/2024 15:03

It's pretty depressing if the supposed top bots think it is their mindset holding them back from the heady heights of 2016. Either they still don't understand how the business model works after decades of involvement. Or they are so deep in they can't admit to themselves how it works.

Spongebobette · 21/03/2024 15:26

Are you saying that moving your desk to face the door won’t result in riches coming your way?
I think you need to work on your mindset 🤣

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 21/03/2024 17:07

I used to get excited about how crap the cheques would be, but this year I am mainly interested in seeing how far the UK has fallen. Number 1 for years, number 10 last year. If they're not top 10 this year I have a feeling that head offices may no longer be required.

Spongebobette · 21/03/2024 17:39

even though it’s UK/Ireland/Iceland now

NormalForNuneaton · 21/03/2024 18:28

Don't knock the "desk facing the door = £££s" theory. My desk faces the door and I can afford to go on a foreign holiday at least once a year, have nearly paid my mortgage off and my roof doesn't leak.

Oops, silly me, I forget ...my desk does face the door but it's at my J.O.B. ....which pays me a decent wage, sick pay, 5 weeks paid holiday etc

My desk faces the wall, haven't Feng shui'd anything because it's bollocks But like you, I'm getting paid a nice wage each month, I get loads of holiday, I get sick pay, and I pretty much control my own hours.

I wonder how long this new bunch will last once the pity purchases stop.

Spongebobette · 21/03/2024 20:15

I have two desks! One in my home office and one in my office at work!
the one at home faces a window with a nice view and the one at work faces the door
…,and I can choose where I work to suit myself from day to day!
I get 5 weeks holiday, sick pay, a good pension!

what was that you were saying about flexibility, Yawn?

Contraryjane · 21/03/2024 20:18

Yawn’s desks weren’t made bespoke for the corner. I remember that they had a desk with four legs. Mr Yawn cut it longitudinally so that each half had two legs. Somehow propped them up in the corner.
Yawn, you’re full of lies. And as for new recruit, Carrot Comb Over….

Spongebobette · 21/03/2024 20:27

‘Creating the first steps on the income plan of £700 a month’

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

BSintolerant · 21/03/2024 21:27

@Contraryjane 🤣

For once Yawn isn’t lying when she describes her latest mark as being “on fire”! Mr Orange Comb-Over looks like he’s got a flaming thatch, which is more than we can say for Yawn’s which is far to mouldy.

definitelynotabot · 21/03/2024 22:41

Spongebobette · 21/03/2024 17:39

even though it’s UK/Ireland/Iceland now

I think it's been that combo for a while.

Desperate times indeed, I doubt UK will be in top15. I remember it being number 2.

Strawberr13s · 22/03/2024 07:30

Cutting a table in half isn't a bespoke creation. Hyacinth Bouquet 😆

Angrymum22 · 22/03/2024 12:09

Does anyone else think that the office still looks like a tip after the makeover? I thought Feng Shui was very 1990s.
I agree that it’s smacks of desperation. Probably spent all day moving things around rather than actually doing any constructive work. I suspect they are now dredging the depths for recruits, where there is very little spare cash for luxury price gloop or toiletries.

YouOKHun · 22/03/2024 12:47

I get the feeling Yawn is talking less about her weight loss so much but perhaps that’s just because the New Year window has now passed (or she’s doing it in her new group which she never mentions). Or perhaps it’s becoming clear to her that her weight loss is very much yesterday’s news and she has to find something new.

There is indeed some dredging going on - where do you pitch yourself when you cannot afford the traditional signs of MLM success and there is nothing happening that can hold the attention of potential recruits? Feng Shui, manifestation and dog walks can’t cut it. It’s all in a downward spiral.

DeliaDeetz · 22/03/2024 13:17

Yawn is looking for running groups she can go to with her dog as apparently she loves making new friends! Pretty sure that's MLM talk for trying to find new victims....sorry recruits! 😂

NormalForNuneaton · 22/03/2024 13:33

I've noticed Castle's exBFF has made reference to having had an eating disorder in the past. Not sure if this recent public admission is new or not?

You would imagine that this would mean she wouldn't be peddling "detoxes" and other shit that basically encourages disordered eating, starvation diets etc but, no, complete opposite. She also seems to find it funny how badly she eats in a "haha look at me I've had a coffee and 3 Creme Eggs" all day sort of way and wonders why her kids are fussy eaters.

Thick as mince.

Spongebobette · 22/03/2024 13:45

She still has an eating disorder I think

BSintolerant · 22/03/2024 13:46

Yawn is most certainly the Hyancinth Bucket of the MLM world @Strawberr13s! Mr Yawn is Richard, and her neighbours probably hide when they see her coming.

I wonder if she’s stopped going on about weight loss because FL Head Office have reminded her that bots aren’t allowed to claim that C9s (and similar FL products) is a weight loss tool - it is merely a ‘cleanse’. Bots are not even supposed to mention / lie about how much weight they may have lost when they’re doing C9s.
