botwatch 81. The latest thread in a very long series about the deceptions practised by mlms. Unbelievably people are still being hooked in by these schemes where 97 of those who join lose money?

Thread 81! The scam that keeps on giving! MLM, network marking, social selling or whatever else you want to call it. It rinses you of your money, time and friends for the dream of wealth, which never happens. Why? The business model ensures that only those at the very top of the 'pyramid' stand a chance of wealth, all the rest of us just "pay to play". The dream is a nightmare. Tell your stores here.

Yawn’s very quiet now about her dream thatched farmhouse. No photos of the outside. Obviously read our comments on here.

It's funny because I see her refuting what 'people' have been saying but it's almost always directly after things that have been posted on here. I'm sure that's no coincidence.

Sugarplum48 · 08/03/2024 15:11

Ah how sweet, yawn has written her own international women's day tribute on teefy keefs fb. Saves the poor sap trying to put something together to stroke her ego.

YouOKHun · 08/03/2024 18:22

@MyopicBunny I’m sure Yawn has very keen antennae for criticism as she is incredibly thin skinned and also knows that her veneer of “helping people” is not true. She must be well aware of all the people she has “helped” who have ended up falling away from FLP considerably worse off on all fronts. She can’t afford to take her eye off what the critics notice and discuss here or anywhere else in case any of that discussion gets through and causes doubt among the ranks.

Her problem is she absolutely can’t mention the sources of criticism lest one of her current victims takes a look for themselves. Keep the “haters” and the “trolls” vague and then you can dismiss them more easily. I’m sure she’d love to say “that bunch of haterz on the MN site” but that would be fatal. Her followers might come here and see that we are not sad failed network marketers but are here because we hate what MLM does to people, and we have evidence and direct examples of the lies and manipulation from the companies and their bots.

It is of paramount importance to Yawn that we remain untraceable “people”.

Spongebobette · 08/03/2024 20:34

Ah yes the vague and un-pin-downable ‘internet trolls’ and ‘keyboard warriors’

i just hope that if people do the tiniest bit of research and Google Forever Living they’ll come across these threads. That’s how I ended up here

other MLMs are just as bad, but this is the one that made me aware they exist

Sugarplum48 · 08/03/2024 22:29

Arggghhh, yes the plain Jane's that know the likes of yawn, yes l know yawn and some I'd drain pipe down line well. I/we know the real them. It's sobering when you know the actual person and they are in fact FAKE, A LIAR, A FRAUD, A NARC, A BULLY, A SCAMMER...

Angrymum22 · 08/03/2024 22:46

What irritates me most about Yawn is the chunk of chewing gum she always has tucked in her mouth when she does her stories (aptly named). It is so uncouth to speak while juggling chewing gum around your molars. It’s nearly always there, it must be so irritating to sit next to her while she is constantly chewing the cud.
Sorry, I’m not adverse to chewing gum but I only do it in the privacy of my car, never in public.

Yawns aloe party post on Instagram that she's put up tonight - the final video, the 3 girls on the far sofa trying the aloe says everything that we all know about how vile it is 🤣🤣

TheShellBeach · 09/03/2024 10:39

Hi. I just wanted to know what you think of Lisa Johnson's One to Many course (which costs £2000).

Is it an MLM? We've been discussing it and nobody seems to know.

I noticed that too. Says it all about their leading product. It really is snake oil, the older ladies were very polite but the teenagers reaction was spot on.

Spongebobette · 09/03/2024 11:03

Looking day a ‘business launch’ like that, I wonder how much income the new bot generated

the teenagers won’t have bought anything but all the rest probably did, but not the expensive products - it they parted with 25 quid each (which I’d be furious about spending having been invited to a friend’s house!) - what will the new bot have made and what will Yawn have made?

It used to be 30% base commission and their upline would get 18% on top (how that is split would depend on the upline structure). Might have changed though.
So 4 people buying @25 pp £30 income for the new bot. How much of that income is actual profit, unlikely to be much!

MaybeItsJustTimeToStop · 09/03/2024 11:08

That launch just looked so sad.

Sugarplum48 · 09/03/2024 11:46

Good god that launch. The looks, grimaces of revulsion drinking the giz🤮🤮🤮

TheShellBeach · 09/03/2024 12:05

I've read these threads for quite a while and never posted.
But yesterday I saw a thread about this Lisa Johnson woman and it all smelt of MLMs to me. Paying her £2000 for a course which is just word salad and a great waste of money.

However a lot of people say it isn't an MLM.

If it isn't, why not? I'm just interested - I'm not signing up to it.

Sunsea21 · 09/03/2024 13:30

I loved those reactions to the aloe shite- I rewatched that story a few times laughing

Wig'n'Sleaze's latest promo (on Sleaze's Insta) is possibly the funniest thing I've seen this year.

🤣🤣🤣🤣...that is hilarious @Twentytwentyhindsight, crying with laughter at Wigs shouty presenting skill and Sleaze being sleazy
It was mentioned a few weeks ago that Wig looked pregnant- what she's wearing in their promo vid makes her look even more so 😳. I don't know if she is but regardless it's really not a flattering outfit

ticktock19 · 09/03/2024 15:43

@Sharpness19 - I'm guessing it's this one

YouOKHun · 09/03/2024 15:48

@TheShellBeach I haven’t looked at her offering because, let’s face it, if we all looked at every coaching offering on social media there would be no time for anything else! I don’t know about her coaching but from my observations a lot of coaching is now offering “a method” which you pay for and try and apply to your own endeavours and then you go out and sell “the method” to someone else (under the guise of “being a coach” or delivering quasi-therapy) with benefits to persuading others to sign up for the coaching (ref Apprentice bot).

Given that most of the coaching methods or packaging have zero benefit to many people’s businesses then the temptation (or necessity) becomes to recruit other coachees and there are often incentives to do so. Then there’s the added training and “enhanced learning” for those who have already paid up and for whom there has been little benefit so far. Coaching is “the product” and what a great product for disguising a pyramid scheme, no Chinese white label fiddling about, just create a coaching method on the back of a fag packet and off you go!

Lots of these coaches are ex-MLM and leech onto the side of the NWM “industry”, passing their “secrets of success” on to people who haven’t a hope of succeeding and generally the coaches themselves couldn’t make it work either. Lots of courses don’t have an MLM element but are an expensive scam utilising the vagueness of coaching and the onus on the purchaser to “get something out of it by using it correctly”.

If I’ve got the right person I see she has taken someone to court and won after they accused her of running a scam.

I just came on here to say exactly the same thing. Holy fuck it's the funniest thing I've ever seen. The shit edit just after she introduces herself, the rabbit caught in the headlights delivery, Sleazes's 'Tate' hand gestures, I am CRYING

Sugarplum48 · 09/03/2024 16:21

Jaysus H Christ what on the name of mary and Joseph was that promo? Wig is barely understandable. That was beyond poor.

YouOKHun · 09/03/2024 16:27

Oh that Sleaze video is priceless! There’s something of the Alan Partridge about him; he may have been practising his presenting skills in front of Knowing Me Knowing You.

Filming your promotional video in front of other people’s expensive toys, it’s so convincing isn’t it? I can imagine when the camera is off they were shoo’d away from the stands or Sleaze was stopped and asked whose Driver he was or pointed towards the staff area.

Wig’s problem is she’s gone so far down the FaceTune cartoon road that any photo or video even vaguely close to reality is a shock. I’m not sure who she’s modelling her presenting skills on but whoever they are they have rigor mortis.

Yes. And on that thread, there are countless people saying that it isn't an MLM.
