Have never looked into it, wouldn't know where to start. 🤔

BCCoach · 19/08/2023 08:17

Never have done or had any reason to.

YawnyMcdawny · 19/08/2023 08:18

Monthly.

CrunchyCarrot · 19/08/2023 08:18

Never.

YawnyMcdawny · 19/08/2023 08:18

ClearScore is a quick free and easy place start.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 19/08/2023 08:19

I have just spent 5 years rebuilding a very poor credit score so I check mine very regularly. Now it’s to check nothing is amiss, but previously it was to obsess over how I could rebuild it, point by point 😬

everyone has a reason to check @BCCoach if only to check for fraud / incorrect info. And its free

Sameold23 · 19/08/2023 08:21

Clearscore gets emailed every month.

Selfesteem23 · 19/08/2023 08:22

I signed up to clear score years ago when buying our house.

They send me email to check my report which I do occasionally just to check nothing untoward. I have very little credit bar the mortgage and a couple of bills that register on there like my phone and our water bill.

Newgolddream70 · 19/08/2023 08:23

I am always looking at mine and seeing what deals pop up!

Once I checked and my score had massively dropped and I had no idea why. I checked my report and saw that someone had opened a mobile phone account under my name and address and hadn't been paying the bills! It was a stressful time trying to get it sorted out as I was about to apply for a mortgage so glad I'd spotted it. I managed to get it removed from my credit file.

Nochoiceleft · 19/08/2023 08:32

Every so often. I get the clearscore emails.

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 19/08/2023 08:45

I am a member of MoneySavingExpert Credit Club which shows my Experian report monthly and then I have the clearscore app which I check regularly too.

It is really important to keep an eye on it.

Bromptotoo · 19/08/2023 08:46

Monthly - I get a reminder.

Just a quick scan to make sure nothing's gone awry.

Xrays · 19/08/2023 08:51

I’ve signed up with Clearscore so get a report every month.

Oblomov23 · 19/08/2023 08:54

Get a report sent occasionally, but it's always good, never changes, so don't give it more than a glance.

MymateDave · 19/08/2023 08:55

Once a month. Just a quick check to make sure everything looks as it should.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 19/08/2023 08:58

Usually monthly, I get a reminder. I spent years being bad with money and avoiding responsibility, I feel quite proud of myself now for being so organised.

Hummusanddipdip · 19/08/2023 08:58

I've independently checked it 5 times since I turned 25 for various reasons (check for anything untoward, see how I can improve it, check I'm no longer financially linked to someone etc)
But my mortgage broker has also checked it everytime we've remortgaged and gone through it with me.

CommonVetch · 19/08/2023 09:02

Monthly, more or less. It's gone down recently because I applied for a new 0% credit card to move debt across, that sort of thing causes a score to wobble, so I'm not worried. It'll sort itself out soon.

If you're looking at credit scores it's important to look at all 3 big ones, I can't remember their names off the top of my head, but they have different measures so it gives you a clearer picture. I was still financially connected to my ex on one of them, if I had only checked a different one I wouldn't have realised.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/08/2023 09:43

All the time. I'm signed up to Clear Score, Credit Karma, Totally Money and MSE Credit Club, so check all of them at least monthly.

My score has dipped a tiny amount recently as I've rescheduled my debt and also closed four unused credit cards. It'll bounce back quickly though.

backtogrey · 19/08/2023 09:57

Never

ThelmaBorden · 19/08/2023 10:02

I don’t have a choice as I have a monthly email from excellent Experian

808KateO · 19/08/2023 10:04

Every few months or so but more frequently when we're coming up to remortgaging.

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 19/08/2023 10:26

I use Experian and get a monthly reminder. Both me and DH check regularly after he was a victim of fraud a few years ago.
