Oooh! Exciting! Didn't know you could do this.

Not on the big winners list :( have £35k across 3 accounts so was hoping for better luck, only won £425 since January so not a great rate of return.

Need another £1575 in the next 5 months to justify keeping it in really.

I feel you all might be more Knowledgeable than me! I've got a pretty small holding of bonds (purchased for me as an infant) but when I've looked at the list for August hardly any prizes went to bonds purchased more than 10 years ago. Is this chance, or is there more to it than that?

When people cash in their bonds, generally (unless you change it) the oldest ones are cashed in first. And with new purchases, obviously it's new numbers. So as most people buy and cash in multiple times over the course of holdership, there are fewer old bonds around in the draw.

Every month I see big wins from small amounts of bonds that were clearly a Christening gift or whatever. But they probably never won before that day

This month someone in Tyne and Wear had £1 of bonds, bought in 1959. This is their total holding so they're probably completely forgotten about. But they won £1000

But hoping for £25 on the app tomorrow

For newbies - the above list shows the day before the app and lists winners down to £1000

Last working day of month is the millionaire

First working day of month the list of winners via link

Second working day of month the app showing all wins esp the small ones

I did well last month and month before. I don't have many bonds. Less than 5 figures but some months be lucky and win £25

Last month won £225 - 2 x 100 and 1 x £25

So sure tomorrow I won't win anything but it's the thrill

As Someone said above that small holdings can win but seems mainly £50k owners win

I've had a good run recently so let it continue
