I’ve heard bots describe MLM schemes as franchises before in an attempt to sanitise their scamming. It’s up there with “social selling.” Does the head of the DSA still trot out the latter? I’ve not heard much about her recently.

BangingOn · 30/07/2023 19:17

Younique are now talking about two different paths to signing up, a Brand Ambassador and a Brand Affiliate (ideal for ‘multi-brand enthusiasts’). It’s the usual word salad… “experience deliberately different” is up there with “living life professionally” 😂

@BSintolerant Mrs DSA had to come away from Twitter as it was an uncomfortably public place to give away the fact you hadn’t understood the “industry” you were representing. She tends to stick to the DSA’s FB page where she can appear to a select audience of the converted and any “negativity” can be deleted. I don’t think she mentions her DSA involvement on any of her social media. She certainly doesn’t stick her head above the parapet these days. I’m sure she still spouts the same fiction to a row of nodding dogs, she’s just more careful who her audience is now - no more Radio 4 interviews, only pre-recorded sound bites on the DSA website and press releases in the Express these days!

Nurse is relying heavily on her ‘course’ at the moment to make her feel she’s got some sort of future

OP posts:
YouOKHun · 30/07/2023 20:43

Nurse has gone fully back into the World if Woo now and the only difference between her coaching biz page and her previous manifesting hobby page is she is now significantly poorer. She’s delusional and living in a fantasy land which will come to an abrupt and painful halt when the course ends and she fails to earn a single penny by from it. Still, during the school holidays she can kid herself she has a bright future, while it’s all safely on the distant horizon and doesn’t require any real effort and realism.

Scandi beach vibe in a 17th century thatched cottage? Hideous. I bet Mr Yawn didn't get any say in the matter he just does as he's told...

I wonder where Yawn gets her interior design inspiration? Blue Peter possibly.

stockpilingallthecheese · 30/07/2023 21:12

Nurse's insta is tragic. I do not understand how she affords anything. And the desperation to offer two discovery calls up to 30 mins each to see if coaching is something you 'might want to look into'. Honestly she's hopeless.

BSintolerant · 30/07/2023 21:50

That’s one less twit on Twitter @YouOKHun. The Woman’s Hour interview which Mrs DSA took part in a few years ago made her sound like a twit: “It’s social selling!” (and other fairy tales)… 🤣Was the bot who was invited to participate involved with Flamingo Paperie? If my memory serves me correctly Flamingo Paperie is no more, has ceased to be, run down the final curtain and joined the choir invisible. Or is it just pining for the Fjords?

YouOKHun · 31/07/2023 01:13

@BSintolerant Yes, the Flamingo Paperie bot must have been an antiMLM plant as she managed to get across just how shite FP was by saying something along the lines of, ‘I invested £200 and now six months later I’m well on the to making my initial investment back’. I remember thinking, ‘well Ms TLC you can sit back and listen to the tragic Flamingo bot and Mrs DSA scoring a load of own goals’.

Flamingo went tits up with virtually no warning and lots of people got stung, some of them were the same people who got stung when FP went bust the first time (when it was Phoenix Trading). It’s now an ex-Flamingo, stone dead.

i know, what’s she living on? Holiday, getting nails done, constantly ‘popping to the shop for bits and bobs’

she has burned through any payout from the NHS by buying her coaching course

A good ( slightly vulnerable ) friend has joined Arbonne. I feel worried about her

NormalForNuneaton · 31/07/2023 07:44

Re: nurse and her spending ... I also noticed that she had a 6-8 berth caravan for just her and her DS's holiday.

She must have parents funding her.

Sugarplum48 · 31/07/2023 08:01

Blimey 5 likes for free training. That's very very poor engagement for yawn!!

Spongebobette · 31/07/2023 08:38

She must have stopped paying for likes

So Yawn can't stand carpets because they get so dirty having dogs so she's going to paint them white!?... White hides dirt apparently😂those floors are going to get filthy, she's making a whole load of work for herself.

She'd be better off with grey. I had a grey car washed it about 4 times in 5 years it just never showed the dirt!

BSintolerant · 31/07/2023 11:04

Maybe Nurse is paying for her expensive coaching course the Weird Limp Willy Way: whack it on a credit card and manifest paying it back.

@Deloresadores you are right to fear for your friend’s involvement with Arbonne. Yet another cult!

Norma27 · 31/07/2023 13:16

Apparently specsaver bot has been drinking the aloe gloop for about 4 months now and it is already helping her joints etc. what a bare faced lie! How long has she been in forever fibbing for?

Since her DD was a baby according to a recent post by Yawn.

Said daughter has just left primary school to start high school.

Norma27 · 31/07/2023 13:25

Their lies never fail to shock me!
Also love how she just copies and pasted yawns posts. So professional 🤣🤣

YouOKHun · 31/07/2023 13:34

@Deloresadores I’m not surprised you’re concerned. The people I know who were once involved in Arbonne were under real pressure to purchase each month and ended up with a lot of product that went out of date and went to landfill. I see less of Arbonne now but a few years ago it was rife in my area among the better off; usually people who could depend on another high income and could afford to purchase and could sell among their circle who didn’t bulk at the prices. But this was very much a hobby not an income.

However comfortably off no one needs a £50 face cream as often as the Arbonne huns needed to sell it and once they’d recruited each other/everyone in their small circle then there was a drive to recruit people who didn’t have financial cushioning and really needed to make it work. It was those people who really lost out. The woman who kicked off the Arbonne obsession in my area made it to regional VP and had her expensively leased white Mercedes, though that car is long gone and so is talk of Arbonne. Even “success” in MLM is short-lived, unstable and only available if you’re as ruthless as she was.

I know there was falling out among some of the original wealthy set and all of them dropped out quietly and were able to take the losses and save face. One went on to Tropic until that went the same way.

one of my friends got manoeuvred into buying an expensive skincare routine from the VP to “help” with some skin problem she had. It made her skin much worse. She went to a dermatologist who was absolutely horrified and told her to “keep away from skincare sold by people who will say anything to get you to buy and know nothing”.

I have a catalogue of negative Arbonne stories I’m afraid. There’s not much you can do except to politely state your position on MLM and encourage her to keep accurate records of what she is spending. I hope she gets out of it soon. There’s no doubt there is more hostility to MLM these days and she may come up against that and realise it’s not viable. I hope so!

I have a very light tiled kitchen floor and a black Labrador. We spend most of the winter with a heap of old towels leading from the door to her bed. I have to mop most days and in shedding season I vacuum twice a day.
White really is a stupid idea with that many dogs. Stained natural wood would be ideal and far more in keeping with the age of the house. I’m the olden days , pre carpets they would have used rugs or reeds to cover the floor.
She will have to polish those boards to within an inch of their life in order to avoid splinters.

In October 2020 she claimed to have started drinking the stuff in Jan 2014.

So only 9 years. What's 8 years and a few months really.

Norma27 · 31/07/2023 13:46

Exactly @meatbaseddessert whats a few years between friends?

Spongebobette · 31/07/2023 14:19

Specsaver bot is very very dim
