I cashed in some of my newer bonds, but kept the original ones I was given when I was born, in 1975, but according to website they're dated from 1957. Has anyone else noticed that?

How do you choose?

Yes, I'm sure my old ones seem to be even older than I expected them to be.

I filled in the Premium Bond cash in form from the download section on their website. I had to know the bond numbers I did want to cash in, which I got from my bond record. Only took a couple of mins to fill in. It said it would take 8 days, but I did it yesterday morning and I've been notified I should have the £ tomorrow.

Ohmylovejune · 20/07/2023 20:50

That's interesting as my husbands date of birth is wrong on his nsi account.

Say he was born 3rd April it's got 4th March, as if the month and day have been entered the wrong way around, americanised if you like.

LuckOfTheDrawer · 20/07/2023 20:58

I suppose the older than expected bonds could have been signed over by a family member to a child? Is that even possible?

I also got my first bonds when I was born, in 1975, and they are dated 1957 as well.

Maybe they just printed a load in 1957 and it took a while to sell them all!

I have the same. £5 of bonds bought in 1975 but dated 1957 on the website.

I dreamt last night that Agent William Million came to visit. Sadly I woke up before he actually told me. But it was a very detailed dream up until that point. He looks a bit like Sam Neill by the way.

You are very early @YourUserNameMustBeAtLeast3Characters

What date is the actual draw? I need to withdraw some but don’t want to do it before the date if I can help it.

If you do it online you have an option to withdraw it after the next draw. Do you can set it all up now, and your money will be released after the August draw

Fab! Things like that will trigger a long term love for having savings.

skyeisthelimit · 24/07/2023 14:44

viktoria that is amazing. My DD has almost £4K in and I keep thinking about taking it out as she has only won £25 this year and she would get a lot more in interest now.

HighEndGrifters · 24/07/2023 14:48

@Haleso

2nd of August.

ChessieFL · 24/07/2023 14:57

I think the actual draw happens on something like 30th July, with results then being gradually notified over the next few days.

SunshinDay · 24/07/2023 16:05

Im aiming for 5 grand.

Then I may saved elsewhere with higher rates.
