It could be anywhere between today and the end of the month.

CrossStichQueen · 14/07/2022 08:14

There is another thread going in chat this morning.
Many have received it today and they appear to be a mixture of legacy benefit claimants and UC claimants.
The dates given by DWP were 14th to 31st of July.
For those on tax credits its from August no dates given.

I’m on UC with a 3 year old and hubby works for a crap wage so definitely entitled to it but with been on UC in this situation for 4 years I’d av thought I’d av been one of the first as it’s not a new claim extra so no complications
thanks anyway

BiscoffSundae · 14/07/2022 08:35

Yes I received it

Moonchair1 · 14/07/2022 09:00

Are they giving them out through the days or just set time like any other payment usually midnight ? thanks

OakTreex · 14/07/2022 09:01

I don't think anyone's sure how the payment batches are structured, they're just doing payment runs between today and the end of the month so it's impossible to know.

I haven't got it today, just checked.

Why would you be one of the first ? We don't know how it's being rolled out. It could be rolled out alphabetically for all we know !

There will be people who have been on UC a lot longer than you. Someone I know has been on the work assessment rate for around 6 years as they don’t want to claim esa.

Its probably alphabetical or NI number related.

WinterMusings · 14/07/2022 09:29

@Moonchair1 it's difficult if you're desperately waiting for it. From what I've read online it's impossible to tell how it's being rolled out. Fortunately in two weeks all thise entitled to it, should have it.

I've read about someone on tax credits having got theirs today, so I'm not sure where 'august for tax credit beneficiaries' comes into it?!

I'm not entitled to it, but I was looking into it for a friend as he wasn't sure if he was eligible for it or not. He gets CTC so I'm sure he is, just need to wait & see.

ListenLinda · 14/07/2022 09:37

Not very many people on UC recieved it today, mainly people who recieve legacy benefits.

People who have recieved it before the autumn who are on Tax Credits have a second qualifying benefit such as ESA.

Vates · 14/07/2022 09:48

Got mine today as did my friend (both on legacy benefits, specifically esa). Her Son who's on UC didn't get his.

Moonchair1 · 14/07/2022 09:53

What’s a legacy benefit ?

What’s a legacy benefit ?

A benefit that is not UC or new style ESA/ JSA. So tax credits, housing benefit, old style ESA/ JSA income support.

ListenLinda · 14/07/2022 10:08

Do people who recieve housing benefit get the payment?
my Grandma recieves HB and a state pension and we couldn’t work out whether she would be eligible or not

Bananarama21 · 14/07/2022 10:09

I feel better that I'm not the oyster one not to get it yet.

Housing benefit alone would not qualify her for it. If she is in receipt of Guaranteed pension credit then she would get the £650 payment.

Moonchair1 · 14/07/2022 10:16

Them on tax Credits won’t have it today. My sister is on that and she says their first payment is autumn

OnlyOpenMouthToChangeFeet · 15/07/2022 04:16

I am on UC, and mine shown as pending and arriving Monday.

KalvinPhillipsBoots · 15/07/2022 04:25

My sister surname is a W and she got it on the 14th so not sure how they are doing it.

Moonchair1 · 15/07/2022 07:19

:( still not got it

I'm on UC and I've had notification mine will be paid Monday (by my bank) so it was processed by BACS yesterday. I hope that helps OP x

Suzi888 · 15/07/2022 07:26

It’s a cost of living payment. Id be putting mine away for winter heating bills.

You can be warm in winter or eat today.

Which one would you do?

SBParker99 · 15/07/2022 09:42

those on UC who have had it why’s your assessment period wondering if it is being paid in order of that?
