Thank you for the thread. Number 70!

Following on from thread 69 and the cult rally in the tent, complete with sashes … many years ago I had to wear a sash in a department store to let customers know that so-called “Happy Hour” was upon them. It was joyous: the highlight of my day. Let me tell you - I was far from happy about being forced to wear a sash and a baseball cap advertising 10% of all goods. The manager had to wear a sash too, but hers didn’t have “Manager” emblazoned on it. At least we didn’t turn the shop into a recreation of The Price is Right with whooping, cheering, clapping and manic behaviour every time we served a customer. One customer asked me if I felt silly wearing a sash and a baseball cap. I told him I felt extremely silly and probably looked silly too. He nodded in sympathy. I didn’t hang around there for long - there’s only so much excitement I can tolerate and I got told off for not smiling enough. I’d have needed a coat hanger in my mouth to crack a smile in that ridiculous place.

I’m also amazed that certain bots haven’t quite mastered the intricacies of climbing the greasy pyramid. They’ve been at it for years - they should be experts by now, or retired and living of a residual income. If making a six-figure salary in MLM is as easy as falling off a ladder in those nooks and crannies of time, why are the likes of Yawn spending thousands on private coaching which consists of raking over old ground? Surely she doesn’t need to waste money when she can listen for free to Lanza’s words of wisdom that MLM is a monkey-see-monkey-do business? Yawn’s paying for false hope - just like her downline. All that time, money and effort … gone forever: a life squandered. Yet only the sash remains.

I do worry that with economic conditions as they are, we will see an upturn in recruitment. When people don't have £200 to spare, please don't "invest" it with one of these companies.

Forever Living had a Covid ‘bump’ due to desperate people being lured in during 2020 and 21
I wonder what the picture will be this time next year….

Spongebobette · 08/03/2022 23:49

So all the more reason to spread the word that MLM companies exploit women, that 97% who join lose money, that there is no such thing as a ‘good’ MLM and all the top bots are liars and just looking for new victims

fromdownwest · 08/03/2022 23:52

Has Bruv just admitted that he didn’t know you could cook food, freeze it and defrost it?

Not sure if that is a shocking as his spending £600 a month on take outs.
That must be all of his ‘profit’

Absolute tool

Spongebobette · 08/03/2022 23:58

It’s just another way to boast about how much money he has

BSintolerant · 09/03/2022 07:02

Bruv thinks hobs are for dancing, not cooking. I dread to think what (or who) he puts in his freezer.

spanfan · 09/03/2022 11:20

Bruv is a complete idiot. Lives beyond his means and is probably bolstered by the bank of mum and dad. Spoilt brat.

Typical tone deaf post from the bragging family. When people are terrified about paying their fuel bills, he is stealth boasting about spending £150 a week on take aways.

No wonder he needs so many C9 resets!

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 09/03/2022 12:09

Bruv is the worst. Spoilt youngest child.

PieonaBarm · 09/03/2022 12:50

£600 a week on takeaway and meal delivery is £21 a day. He should be ashamed. And then he has his FL shakes and supplements. How the hell he survives financially is anyones guess.

His parents must be so proud

Proud, or bled dry more like.

Yes, it will be an interesting comparison; how exploitable this crisis is compared to the Pandemic. You’re right @Spongebobette in the pandemic the likes of FL benefitted from job instability and exploiting the WFH angle, but (generally speaking) a lot of people were more financially optimistic at that point, but now I think many people will be much more risk averse, will have less disposable cash for purchasing/joining schemes and those already trapped will have less money to keep on purchasing. They will have more problems recruiting others too.

If it’s now the choice between electricity and a few bottles of Aloe or a choice between electricity/a tank of petrol or speculating on the vague chance of a ‘six figure income’ sometime in the future - I can’t see people going for that in the way they did before life got so expensive.

I feel this present economic crisis is much more damaging for MLMs like FLP and they will look back on their sad tent party as the beginning of a much sharper decline.

YouOKhun · 09/03/2022 21:32

And to add to the economic crisis effect on MLM, that show off, tone deaf approach is really going to pall, even with the people it previously impressed. How are they going to sell this amazing opportunity if the leased Rangy and the Michael Kors bag just piss people off? They can’t sell the dream by saying “I’m struggling financially too” so they have to keep up an increasingly alienating mirage of “success”. Trouble ahead.

Spongebobette · 10/03/2022 07:46

Castle’s BFF is already using high energy bills to market her ‘opportunity’
‘My bills have gone up £200 a month .. I finally understand the power of a side business’

DecemberGal · 10/03/2022 08:36

Apparently BFF is going to move in with son . See comments on her recent parents photo.

DecemberGal · 10/03/2022 08:37

Sorry I meant Yawns BFF.

DecemberGal · 10/03/2022 13:53

My mistake I forgot she had a new partner.
On the MLM lies exposed fb someone has posted about an MLM @ spring fair. No doubt they will all be dusting off stored stock to infiltrate this avenue.

Can you give us a clue who your Tropic bot is?

My Tropic bot is posting stories about Ukraine on Instagram. I hope she doesn’t try to cash in on the horrible situation there.
