It's my first time starting one of these threads so I hope the links all work!

Welcome back to those who have joined in before and hello to any newbies that want to jump on board - if you have any questions fire away and someone will hopefully be able to help!

@kpfragglesrock Do you have a link for the Telus job? Can anyone apply for it? I've just done a general application with them but didn't see that job listed.

@Wolf1970 Can you name the company you did the survey for? Could really do with a well paying job!

Wolf1970 · 12/01/2022 06:19

@MoreMoneyPlease
Sorry I can’t. It was academic research in the Far East to do with how English is used and evolving. My sister lives there and recommended me and my DH. It was just a one off but a very welcome one.

AppleJane · 12/01/2022 09:03

The email I got from Telus was invite only. And you had to submit a 30 second sample of your voice so either a. they are looking for specific voices or b. they're getting free data or c. both haha.

cannotfindanickname · 12/01/2022 10:56

Any tips on how to pass the way with words audio quiz? I only scored 30% and i have a Literature degree. I thought I was quite good with words so very disappointed. Obviously not. I also failed the Crisp test (18 out of 20 and needed at least 19). So I am feeling a bit rubbish 😢. And discouraged - not wanting to waste my time doing any more that i am going to fail at the moment. I did the way with words test twice (the first time i was on the last question when I ran out of time) do that's an hour of my day wasted.

cannotfindanickname · 12/01/2022 10:58

*so. (obviously I was more careful with my words when i did the test).

AppleJane · 12/01/2022 12:41

@cannotfindanickname I feel your pain. I've wasted a fair few hours online re-taking tests.

Did you keep a record of your answers when doing the Crisp test?

cantbeforeal · 12/01/2022 13:41

Here's my Freetrade link if anyone wants to get a free share. I used someone's link on another thread and got a share worth £7.38. You get a free share picked at random from between £3-£200 you just have to top up your account with £1

magic.freetrade.io/join/rhiannon/5bd7dc58 Join me and invest commission-free with Freetrade. Get started with a free share worth £3-£200

cannotfindanickname · 12/01/2022 13:46

@AppleJane. No i didn't. And I did it twice, and the first time i got 18 and the second time i got 13 😢. I am not sure it is worth more time just to join the waiting list. I don't understand where i went wrong on the Way with Words test as i think i got most of the words right so is it about punctuation?

ruralwanderer · 12/01/2022 15:58

@cannotfindanickname, keep trying with the Crisp test - it took me a ridiculous amount of goes to get there but it's well worth it as although it's been quiet at the moment, it's always there so very handy when you have 15 minutes spare as you can just log on and get going. There is a year or so's waiting list though for it.

Re: WWW, I failed too and couldn't be bothered to re-take as I find transcription hard to do with small kids at home - they seem to see it as a personal challenge to be as awkward as possible the second I put headphones in. Other people have said that a lot of it is down to getting company names and addresses absolutely bang on so I think Google is your friend for this one! Good luck Smile

OP posts:
AppleJane · 12/01/2022 17:57

@cannotfindanickname it's worth keeping your answers so you can look at them and try and figure out where you went wrong before trying a re-test. I was lucky to get 19 first go but I seem to remember some of the questions had more than one answer! And I took a long time comparing each question to the guidelines. That was about 6 months ago and haven't heard a sausage.

With WWW I'm now on the research exam but keep putting it off cos I don't think I can hack another fail right now Grin especially when you spend hours and miss by just one point!

AnotherOne4 · 12/01/2022 19:58

Just had a look at my notes. I passed Crisp this time last year, not heard a peep yet Hmm

soisealta · 12/01/2022 20:27

Placemarking too.

I do surveys when my freelance work is quiet. I made over £15 in one day yesterday! Smile Smile. Today (maybe) £2.30. Swings and roundabouts. I like it though, it passes the time and I'd like to do more so I am really happy this thread exists.

soisealta · 12/01/2022 20:31

I wanted to ask do you need to have qualifications and skills to get accepted for the other work? I currently only do the surveys.

I don't have a degree or anything and my only work experience is Cleaning and Customer Service type jobs. I can do some Admin and have good wpm.

Nepenthe · 12/01/2022 21:52

Hello! I was on these threads a year or two ago and registered with a few of the sites, although I don't think I actually got any jobs! I'm going to try again though, I'm just going through them and reactivating accounts etc. I'll have a read through the thread and see what's what.

Nepenthe · 12/01/2022 23:00

Ah yes, it's all coming back to me.... some of them won't accept me because I'm on the Isle of Man.

Just scored 17/20 on Crisp, so that's a no for now....

WWW say my password is wrong, but the password reset email hasn't arrived.

Catatemyhomework · 12/01/2022 23:21

Hi all,

Just thought I'd come on for an update. So, this year is not looking terrible. I now have Y*n on App and as much as I find it terrifying and I constantly second guess myself, it is consistent work. I have to work a minimum of 10 hours a week. There is sometimes no work but I have always managed to meet my 10 hours. I also have Maps with LB which I have neglected of late but that is also a 10 hour a week minimum, so I am quite busy for now. I really need the money so it is good. My Malta project has finished and At*s seems to have gone dead but I keep an eye on the projects tab. Shose wasn't great this week. I had only 3 items to purchase and the best one I had to skip as it didn't ship to UK but it's always fun to see what you might get!
I passed Cr
p over 2 years ago and never heard from them so I have largely given up. I never hear from Neevo anymore either which I used to love. Hello to all the old posters and to the new. Wishing you all a happy and lucrative 2022!

Wolf1970 · 13/01/2022 06:45

@soisealta

No you don’t need a degree. All jobs are different. I have done jobs involving voice recording, rating voice recordings, rating or categorising ads, webpages etc. A lot of jobs are related to the internet and being familiar with social media platforms and being a user of say Facebook and/or Instagram is most helpful.

Lovemusic33 · 13/01/2022 07:40

Joining the thread. Wanting to make £10-£20 a day 😬.

I have been doing surveys with Toluna but it’s slow going and takes a lot of time, often there are no available surveys which slows things down, I’m aiming to get £35 by the end of the week which I’m struggling with.

Are there any other good survey sites?

ruralwanderer · 13/01/2022 07:56

@Lovemusic33, Prolific is the one we recommend but it's unlikely to make you £10-£20 a day on its own so it's well worth looking at the other links too. Welcome to the thread!

OP posts:
Redcrayons · 13/01/2022 08:28

@Lovemusic33 the only survey site I do is Prolific Academic. You never get screened out but the surveys fill up fast so you have to be quick.

I usually get around £20 a month from it.

Take a look at the opening post. It’s got loads of links to different sites you can try.

Wolf1970 · 13/01/2022 08:42

Is Payoneer being extra slow now? I transferred a payment I got from Clickworker to my bank yesterday afternoon and it’s still not showing. My bank has had some issues recently co to think of it which might be the cause….

evtheria · 13/01/2022 10:00

@Lovemusic33
I use YouGov, Pinecone and Attapoll for surveys.
YG has a £50 cashout requirement, which takes me a few months, but it’s interesting and I don’t get screened out.
Pinecone only sends me what I am eligible for (no screening out) and pays £3 a survey via a (slightly awkward) bank transfer or choice of vouchers, but is very sporadic. One month I’ll have 3 or 4, then nothing for a few months.
Atta is the easiest, but surveys vary in small value (1p to £1.75?) and you can be screened out, but I still just try every one. However it pays via PayPal (£3 min) instantly and I earned over £30 in the last month, it wasn’t hard. I have a referral link if you’d like a joining bonus (pm me!) or you can find it via apps.

I’ve just put myself on waiting list for Prolific, I’ve seen so many Instagram posts lately where people made ££ off it per month!

LostLlamaSociety · 13/01/2022 10:19

Hi @evtheria - Do you have a referral code for Atta please? I think you're okay to put it here or PM me - either's good :)

@Lovemusic33 My favourite survey site is Branded Surveys largely due to it's low cash-out and fast payments - You do get screened out of some but I have found it much better than Toluna.
My joining link (which would get me about 37p) is:
surveys.gobranded.com/users/register/817a6e1656413e814d2d76761
Or google Branded Surveys :)

Wolf1970 · 13/01/2022 10:46

Re Prolific I’ve made around £700 on it since joining 2.5 years ago. So average of £23 a week. I think the most you can make is say £10-£25 a week and maybe a lot less. While saying there have been some months I barely looked at it and others where I picked up well paying surveys of £10 or more.

It is the best survey site and some of the surveys are really interesting.

Wolf1970 · 13/01/2022 10:47

*sorry £23 a MONTH
