So my daughter is 16 and staying in full time education I have notified TC and CB , I checked my tax credits online account today and it says no payments due ? Is anyone else in the same boat or know anything about this .

I’m getting the cannot deal with me online message too and had no payment this week.

They should update sooner as parents have school expenses so need the money.

My payments are monthly & went in ok in August so not actually due for a few weeks but it would be nice to know before it’s due just in case it’s wrong.
Dd has cost me a fortune this month in ‘business clothes’ for 6th form

Thank you for posting this op. I knew mine would be decreasing as one going to university and I'd notified them of my 16 year old going to college. When I checked though, they'd stopped completely.

Phoned and they hadn't added my 16 year old on for college, it's done now and it'll take up to 72 hours to be processed.

Thankfully it's just been pay day so we are ok in the bank, but had it been the end of the month it would have been a struggle.

No worries , I don't know why they have to take so long in doing these sorts of things to be honest . They knows it's coming weeks before hand , it's unfair on people in similar circumstances to me where we still have other children's uniforms etc to buy for .
Hopefully everything will update this week at some point and we can all stop worrying (hard when you have basic necessities to get and the online account shows no payments)

Mine still isn’t showing an amount or date of what we are getting. Does that mean we don’t get anything?

I have just spoken to them. They have all my details correct and the award just needs to be updated on the system.
He advised this should be sometime next week, not great when my payment was due today.
He couldn't advise me of the payment amounts but did say if nothing has been paid by next Friday to contact them.
Fingers crossed next week brings good news for us all

I just checked mine and my son has been put on and 'in education' and it's now half the amount it used to be!!!

I mean it was wayyyy more last year and now it's even smaller still!

And all the past payments have changed too.... my income is wrong too

Honestly what a mess

It’s so frustrating when you’re trying to budget especially not even knowing how much you’ll be getting or when it’ll be paid.

Mine appears to have updated. I've a small payment on the 8th then weekly from the 10th. These payments are similar to what I was getting so phew!

I've been following this as I've had the same problems as you all.

In the last hour or so, mine has updated again. Showing payments for my eldest again as of next week.

However, the missing money has been added onto the weekly payments instead of as a lump sum - in case anyone needs to know this to budget.

Hopefully this will put minds at rest, and we're all sorted ASAP :)

Mine are sorted , starting next week one slightly bigger payment then normal payments but slightly more? Assuming they are just adding on the missing payment to future ones .

Mine has now updated to £100 pm more than it was this morning phew!

Mine has updated and saying will be updated by the 7th.

Hope others have got money or at least further forward than yesterday.
