What is Potato? Please could you link it?

AnotherOne4 · 12/07/2021 15:22

@JLbaby potato is crisp. You have to pass a test to get on the waiting list, then wait about a year to get offered work Sad

JLbaby · 12/07/2021 16:03

Ah yes, I failed the test for that!!

ruralwanderer · 12/07/2021 16:28

@jlbaby, you can take the test as many times as you want until you pass 👍

JLbaby · 12/07/2021 17:49

Oh thanks for that, I didn’t know!

froggybiby · 12/07/2021 18:48

Thanks for all of the ideas / links. I have started with prolific last Thursday and have already got about £20, £16 approved so far so this is not a bad start. I am hoping to be able to make £100 a month as I already work full time....that would be Christmas money + other treats if I reach that...

AppleJane · 12/07/2021 20:03

I've started with Prolific and that's great. Signed up to CW and not much on there for me. They have Peanut Labs surveys linked. Anyone had any luck with those?

I've started 8 surveys, answered a ton of questions and all said they had enough completed surveys and ended (after more questions than you get on prolific) only one went all the way for 40 cents. A lot of wasted time.

Passed the UHRS access test but they're pretty confusing too! Any help anyone please?

AnotherOne4 · 12/07/2021 20:26

@AppleJane I'll pm you my thoughts Smile

@TheGoogleMum unfortunately Appen can take months. It was probably the best part of a year before I got offered anything Sad

CharlieB93 · 13/07/2021 07:55

Hi all, I’m just dipping my toes, started on prolific - doing ok so far made about 20 quid! The plan is to overpay on my mortgage anything I make 😊 can anyone recommend any other survey sites like prolific?

Frenchdoors1 · 13/07/2021 09:27

@CharlieB93 There's not many really apart from Qmee and Curious Cat but you can get screened out a lot if you rush or don't fit the criteria.

I would recommend Swagbucks, but have a look on the Money Saving Expert website as there is a page for recommended surveys and the link for Swagbucks gave an initial bonus once you had completed so many. It was quite a decent bonus too of about £20 or so. I found that once I’d been on there a month or two, I started to get screened out a lot so don’t do it much now. I made a good £70/£80 in the first couple of months though. You don’t earn money directly into the bank but get gift cards - you can get prepaid MasterCards though.

Isay is also decent but you only get access to surveys when they send them to you. You get screened out less though and they’re generally shorter and more interesting. I get about £20 per month from this and you can withdraw quickly on a prepaid MasterCard.

Just on a side note, if you get a prepaid mastercard on any of these, if you register them as a card on your PayPal, you can pay someone else with these so that the funds go into their PayPal account and they can send it back to you to withdraw in cash. If you have a partner or spouse, it’s a good way to extract the cash from them and not have to spend it on tat!

CharlieB93 · 13/07/2021 13:15

Brilliant thanks for the advice! I’ll have a look at those!
Some surveys have been very... strange this morning

TheLolaMontez · 13/07/2021 14:55

Done the minimum on potato, everything else is pretty dry 😒 App STILL not sorted the year long project 😩 so going to have earned very little with them this month Sadbeen doing buts in UHRS CW but some of it I can't get my head around at all!

Frenchdoors1 · 13/07/2021 16:11

I agree with you @TheLolaMontez about CW.
I'm sure I need qualifications for most of those Hmm

Hello all - has anyone received their statement of work from potato yet? I'm worried I have accidentally deleted it.....

Witchandchipsfortea · 13/07/2021 17:35

@NCforsafety no statements yet, will be tomorrow I'm sure.

TheLolaMontez · 13/07/2021 20:34

I'm glad you said that about UHRS. It's not always clear what you're meant to be doing and even why an answer is wrong. Can anyone recommend an alternative?
froggybiby · 13/07/2021 22:06

How to you get on the waiting list for Crisp please? I can only see how to apply to normal jobs or to a webinar when I go on the link.

Frenchdoors1 · 13/07/2021 22:09

Getting loads of emails from the moon project but still can't get onto the bloody thing, had the usual non-supportive reply from support today 🤦 I really don't think Ap is meant to be for me!
