Hi all, happy May. Welcome to this months thread. I'll load up the link later. If anyone else wants to do it, feel free, I'm rubbish at it.

The idea of this thread is to earn a bit of extra cash, as the title suggest. Have a look and these threads go back a while and might give you some ideas.

Newbies welcome. We're a lovely, helpful lot.

@MrsWombat How does that numbrs thing work? The link takes you to download an app for managing money, it doesn’t mention any raffle? Do you have to pay for it?

It's a money managing app that using the open banking system. If you sign up using my link you get an entry into their weekly raffle, which they call PayDay, and then you can refer others to get more entries.

It's a paid for app but you get two weeks free trial if you go for the yearly option but you can cancel straight away and get access for the two weeks. It's a nice app, but I don't think it does anything worth paying for when you can get other apps like Yolt for free. (Although they come with ads)

Yes we get different project lists for Appen. Sometimes it’s because of the devices you use. There’s one particular client (whose tests I can never pass) that only wants iOS users. The Malta projects completely disappeared for me in 2019, although other people were getting them.

Can anyone help, I'm finally finding I'm getting a bit more success with appen and getting onto a project. Only problem now I set up and linked a WLID ages ago and can't the email to go with it and now its needed to log in to the tool.

I've looked on appen and cant see anywhere with it.... anyone got any ideas that could help me?

I can't find an email that says that but I've had a few so I may just be missing it!

First one was about completion of registration for the SME project. That gave me the invitation to join this Labor Cloud. Then I had to take two English tests, both short. Now I seem to be on a reserve list for the SME project but have access to lots of other clouds, most of which are irrelevant to me but there are a couple I could apply for. Reluctant to over commit though!

@ZetaPuppis I've been on it just under 2 years and I'm tempted to just stop. All the bespoke stuff has just pissed me off. I'd love to say what I want...but can't 😬

@ZetaPuppis @0htooooodles I agree, the bespoke is annoying as it seems all the work is shifting there. I saw a few comments today from people saying it's there first shift so they must have selected people to go bespoke. I really enjoyed it but the constant lack of content is making it really slow and boring and not very worth it.

Does anyone on Am** fancy swapping an unwanted purchase for a portable lint remover?

@0htooooodles I might do the same, i get the rage when it pops up saying lots of bespoke shifts and I'm sat there wanting to work and sat fetching.

I’m also so disappointed with Potato. It’s been my main earner but I’ve barely made anything the last month or two. To make matters worse I saw my first disturbing content yesterday :(.
I couldn’t figure out Appen but may have to give it another try.

@0htooooodles, @ZetaPuppis and @Tattiespuds feel the same. Nearly 2 years on it and been my big earner but it all seems to be moving to Be..They should just say it and give people feedback. It's really winding me up now.

Am I missing something re the fb surveys via Appen? I was emailed on the 7th by Newh*n to say congrats etc and they'd send me an email when I could participate in a survey but haven't received a link. When I go to work this on appen it says it works in an external link and I need to read guidelines sent to me. How the f do I access the surveys?!

Anyone done any of the abuse moderation on clickworker/UHRS? I keep being chucked off for not being good enough 😆
