Tax credit - anyone got a date for the £500 payment yet?

I see a lot of tax credit recipients will be getting a £500 lump sum rather than the £20 a week - but has anyone had it yet or had a date for it? I get a small amount of tax credits and can't figure out if I'm eligible for the £500

Has anyone not had a text yet? 99% sure I am eligible. Single mum and I get wtc and ct. I do work over 30 hours though. But i haven't heard a thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

30 hours a week here. Single mom getting wtc and ctc. I got my message last week

Hopefully get mine soon or a letter.

Do you think it’ll come in the same day tax credits come in?
So annoying not knowing as it would really help. And if not I can stop thinking about it

People have until the 8th to change their bank details so it may start being sent out after that. Who knows though.

@RigaBalsam ah yeah, my ctc goes in tomorrow so not likely to be then :(

I have had a txt stating I'm entitled but no sign of payment yet.

I got the generic text quoted earlier. I'm mystified about if I will get this payment as as far as I can see my payments stopped in April but I was getting them in March. I'll believe it when I see it

Just have to wait and wonder. 😊 my housing benefit has just gone down so what I thought I had at start of April is £200 less along with almost £200 less etc/ctc it’s not been great!!

How do you know? I can't find anything on line about it the dates. Will everyone be paid on the same date

@happywifehappylifee , they've said elsewhere it will be after the 10th (think someone on another thread quoted a Twitter response) and the text says before the 23rd.

I tried calling them to see if I qualify but one of the many messages says that call handlers can’t confirm entitlement.
The not knowing is killing me

I spoke to tax credits yesterday regarding something else and the guy told me that all the texts are going out manually (already had mine) so someone is sitting there texting everyone eligible which is why they've not all been sent yet and that also the payments will get sent manually also, from about 12th April and by 23rd everyone eligible should have had their payment.

He said they've had people calling up which is why the message at the start of the call says they can't tell you anything as they genuinely don't know who or when they get it.
If you get WTC and CTC you are eligible, just need to wait on your text/payment.

Totally confusing especially for those eligible but considered to earn too much to receive either child or working tax. Some have been told they will. So confusing. Would be bloody handy mind.

I didn't have the app and it didn't show onl. Just downloaded it. It was there.
