Tax credit - anyone got a date for the £500 payment yet?

I see a lot of tax credit recipients will be getting a £500 lump sum rather than the £20 a week - but has anyone had it yet or had a date for it? I get a small amount of tax credits and can't figure out if I'm eligible for the £500

I'm confused! I have heard of this one off payment but ignored it as we are not on WTC only CTC. I've just checked my account and found I've been paid C19 one off payment. Surely that's not right? My ctc payments have been the same all year and we haven't been financially affected by covid as we have both worked all the way through (dp full time and me 16 hrs). Does anyone think this is right or has there been a mistake?

It will be because you do qualify for WTC but it's cancelled out by your earnings. Your award included WTC but they deduct from that first then the CTC as you earn more - if that makes sense

I got mine today too, usual WTC payment comes in on a Wednesday.

I spoke with an agent around 5.30 about my actual TC just querying and she said a £500 payment was issued to my bank on 14/04

Thank you @midnightstar66. I had a bit of a Google and I think this is why. I had no idea! I was only checking my account to see how much I had to stretch till Tuesday, got a bit of a surprise.

We got ours today, alongside our CTC payment. We don't get WTC because DH's income is too high, but qualify for it in principle through his working hours. It was listed as C19 support on my bank statement.

I got my payment today as well as my usual child tax on Tuesday. I had no indication I was getting it.
Checked hmrc for my child tax credit payments and they are as usual every Tuesday. Whatever it’s for I’m glad for it, especially as dh was rejected for the self isolation support payment when I had covid.

Got mine yesterday, marked as C19 support.

Yes. I am. Spoke to hmrc on webchat on Saturday. They said my payment was verified on the 14th of April. But nothing in my bank yet.

Thanks for the replies I feel more hopeful now. On 2/03 I was receiving ctc and prob not wtc as now over the limit but my app now says no more payments. I think my last increment tipped me over. My last payment was 1/04 or thereabouts. I got the text

What banks.are the people with who.haven't had there payment yet?

Still not had mine, no letter, no text(but they had an incorrect number). I am certain I qualify as was in receipt of £18 a week WTC on 2/3

If you haven't recieved your payment yet, when would you normally get your tax credits, I wonder if it goes by that
