Tax credit - anyone got a date for the £500 payment yet?

I see a lot of tax credit recipients will be getting a £500 lump sum rather than the £20 a week - but has anyone had it yet or had a date for it? I get a small amount of tax credits and can't figure out if I'm eligible for the £500

I haven’t got anything I get child and working tax credits. Also a disability premium too. But no bonus?

I wonder if I can ask them why? Or if they’ll just fob me off as by the sounds of it, a lot of advisers don’t even know about this one off payment

Santander and no money. :-( I got the text too. Bit gutted but my actual date for WTC and CTC is next Tuesday, so maybe it'll come through then. After that I'll be writing it off.

Surprised but got the payment today. Halifax account. Total shock as I get barely any tax credits but it’s there. I read via money saving expert that as long as you have children if you receive any amount of tax credits you should get it.

The last date is 23/04 so don’t lose hope yet. I’m so happy. It’s got me out of a real hole financially.

Barclays and I don’t have it either. I was told by HMRC webchat it was processed Wednesday though so I should definitely be getting it. I was just convinced it would be today because BACS usually takes a couple of days .

@PlantYourAlans they will probably be paying in batches, if you were receiving WTC on 2/3/21 you will more than likely get it. The payment is due up to the 23/4.

I can see mine pending on my bank account transactions so hopefully not too much of a wait for others.

If you don't get it by or on the 23rd of April, then phone them.
That is what an advisor told me to do of I hadn't recived it.

I didn't know if we would get it as my husband earns too much to get working tax but I just checked the bank account and got the shock of my life when I saw the balance!

After him shielding and only being able to work for 5 months out of the last 14 months and only getting 80% wages this has made things a lot easier for the last couple weeks of shite pay. We have really struggled and didn't get anything at all to help last year while UC got that weekly extra money. About time they helped those who are on legacy benefits thought UC claimants are still so much better off getting so much more than us all.

They should have just paid everyone the same time to stop confusion. I spoke to HMRC on Wednesday about something else and the dude said I was eligible and something any payment made on account so not sure. Clearly Barclays is not the bank to be with this scenario 😂

I get exactly the same as you. I didnt get a text but money went in today. I heard that it goes by claim orders. You will get something.
