New article on the BBC News website www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-55145586

Spongebobette · 26/02/2021 07:41

Sigh they’ve done the ‘both sides’ thing again

I'm not normally one for laying into the BBC and the licence fee etc etc but they really do harm serious issues by making it looking like both sides carry equal weight/are of equal value. They did it with climate change - made it look 50/50 by having one person represent each side when scientists were not 50/50 divided on the issue. If they are going to do both sides then they need an unequal balance of interviewees/guests (though I'm sure they would argue that they could then be accused of manipulating which side got more people invited to comment)
Spongebobette · 26/02/2021 09:05

They didn’t dig very deep into the FM world bot’s story - just reported what she told them

Garliccoriander · 26/02/2021 09:41

Omg nurse please please
I know you are desperate for content, but doing Insta stories about your toddler’s toilet habits and asking him on camera if he’s pooed is bad bad parenting

Ugh Sad

I’ve started reading through these long-running threads from the beginning (my circs atm leave with sat in with a lot of time on my hands), it’s all fascinating. So Castle and her DH were both police officers, but barely able to make ends meet before having children despite working loads of overtime? Mr Castle had to retire due to ill health, and Castle also had issues due to being assaulted whilst on duty. I’d hazard a guess that they both wrangled getting discharged on medical grounds and received payouts and pensions. Funnily enough Castle’s DB also had to leave the police after being assaulted whilst on duty - there’s a pattern emerging here.

Digcho · 26/02/2021 10:24

Leave me sat in!

Sforsh49 · 26/02/2021 10:38

The Castles wouldn't have got much of an ill health pension though even if they did manage to get medically retired. They didn't have enough service.

Digcho · 26/02/2021 10:53

@Sforsh49 10/11 years each? And injury on duty would provide a bigger pension? Just seems odd that all three of them left and have mentioned health issues. Also Castle and DB moved from Manchester and London back to ‘home’ South Wales afterwards, just left their previous lives behind. Might be reading too much into this, but seems strange.

Sforsh49 · 26/02/2021 11:24

Still won't be much, I think Castle had 6 years in, she quoted it not long ago, and to get pensioned off for an injury on duty it would need to be a decent injury (sounds awful doesn't it!). She might get an enhancement on her pension of a year or two even though she would be on the old scheme (loads better than the 2015 scheme) but certainly not enough to live on month by month. I think the max they will make it up is around an extra 3.5 years though granted this does depend on the force, but there's no way they'd make it up to 30 years pensionable service from 6 years.

The FM bot who featured in the BBC article does have a Ltd Company but her first accounts are not due until August of this year.

BLToutanowhere · 26/02/2021 13:06

Just read an MLM article on the BBC. Two women who lost money and one megahunbot who has a team of 45,000.

Nice and balanced article there BBC...

Just reading the FM plan. Wow.

BLToutanowhere · 26/02/2021 13:23

Seems to be an article linked to the programme on Iplayer.

Whilst waiting for the work IT to update itself, had a little look at the megahunnasaurus online.

She's got the company (new so can't comment especially on that) but my God her FB page is very much selling the dream.

Two houses! A land rover evoque!

I don't know why I'm so sceptical.

9dartfinish2nd · 26/02/2021 14:27

It's great to see the recent intake of new posters on here, it's very important that it's not the same voices being heard over and over.

Welcome to all new contributors and hopefully there are more lurkers out there ready to make their voices heard on here soon.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 26/02/2021 14:46

Broke is contemplating using the CBD from his current pyramid scheme to make and sell his own bath bombs and 'happy drops gummy bears'- you would have to be seriously deranged to consider ingesting anything that clown had a hand in making...

I don't think she genuinely realises how wrong this is. On a personal level, to family and friends it is bad, but to other prospective downlines it is just dreadful. Her poor son Sad. Can she not imagine if a family member broadcast her private struggles like that? Where is his consent to being exploited like this?
YouokHun · 26/02/2021 19:07

I would have hoped a MH nurse would have a passing acquaintance with Safeguarding considerations and a notion of capacity to consent. She’s an absolute idiot.

Spongebobette · 26/02/2021 19:09

I find it appalling
And the daily videos of him in his bed asleep!
That should be a safe, private space, not broadcast on an unprotected social media account

stockpilingallthecheese · 26/02/2021 19:31

Nurse has changed insta to private, some law of reaction going on there!!

Spongebobette · 26/02/2021 19:37

Perhaps she’s suddenly realised her mistake

BSintolerant · 26/02/2021 19:46

That is appalling. When is Nurse going to realise that another of her big mistakes is lining Yawn’s pockets by chasing an impossible dream?

CompleteBarstool · 26/02/2021 19:47

@Spongebobette

Perhaps she’s suddenly realised her mistake
I think that if she'd just realised her mistake she'd just delete the story posts but making the whole account suddenly private suggests that someone (Yawn?) has tipped her off that her account is being scrutinised and has a lot of inappropriate content.
Spongebobette · 26/02/2021 19:50

The poo one might have alarmed one of her real life friends enough to warn her
