Oh dear, no vowels bot is getting desperate, she's asking why so many people buy products from supermarkets, Amazon, Boots etc but no one buys from FL, FM world, Younique and such, does she really need to ask? Why spend £18 on a bottle of shampoo when you can get a decent one for under £5 (or less) at Boots? So many people have lost their jobs or are on furlough and can't waste money like this, plus no one wants anything to do with your scammy MLM...

Spongebobette · 24/02/2021 17:21

I’ve similar posts from other bots, including the ‘challenge’ to replace your regular products with one of theirs

Always with the big fat lie that you are supporting a small business rather than a big company

Tell that to Rex who continues to rake in the money

Spongebobette · 24/02/2021 17:27

Oh god and she’s an anti vaxxer

Teddy1970 · 24/02/2021 17:27

I know, they're a sales rep and nothing more.

Also the implication that if you support a big brand you aren't supporting people you know who are working hard for a family income. What is people I know work hard working for Boots to support their family??

Not only do they ignore the owners/founders of their MLM (who are the same as the owners of big chains) but they ignore that big brands support hundreds of paid employees and insist on making out it is only the CEOs who benefit from spending money with. It is a dreadful misrepresentation of retail and economics. (I mean I do have issues with Amazon but not because an MLM is better!)

Spongebobette · 24/02/2021 18:28

The owners of MLMs pay no salary, no expenses, no national insurance, pension contributions, sick pay, maternity pay, NOTHING, they don’t even provide samples for their reps to show customers

They just allow the poor bots to believe they own a business and take their money, terminating them when they want to

Teddy1970 · 24/02/2021 20:08

Exactly terrywynne

I suppose if FL was ever say that bots are reps it wouldn't have the same appeal to lure in potential victims.

I'm glad I made some kind of sense Grin reading back that was a lot of jumbled typos I wrote! (Too annoyed by lies to write coherently...)
stockpilingallthecheese · 24/02/2021 21:46

No vowels has also copied and pasted yawn's post about the eagle manager who has qualified for the trip to Arizona. The post mentions 'can't wait to party with you in America'. Errr, like you'll be going love HmmGrin

Hunbot · 25/02/2021 00:10

I wonder if businesses like forever are likely to be hit with the new ir35 legislation

Spongebobette · 25/02/2021 06:49

What’s that?

Hunbot · 25/02/2021 08:01

Disguised employment. Essentially people who operate as self employed via their own limited companies but are basically employees will be taxed the same as employees.

Spongebobette · 25/02/2021 08:04

Ah

Well yes

Norma27 · 25/02/2021 08:04

Ir35 basically means contractors (bots) will be treated as employees for the purposes of tax etc. The rules are getting a lot stricter in this. We did mention it last year but then Covid happened.

Norma27 · 25/02/2021 08:05

Cross post!

terrywynne · 25/02/2021 09:26

Are HMRC relying on companies and contractors owning up or will they be investigating? And will investigation be dependant on whistlebowing? And a lot of the bots have Ltd companies so will that be caught up in the same rules?

fromdownwest · 25/02/2021 13:05

It does pose a real risk to FL.

FL dictate pricing, product and the bots have no autonomy.
They also dictate website etc
They also recieve income from one source
In essence they are totally reliant upon FL for their businesses to run.

It will only impact the LTD companies.

I imagine over the coming years, HMRC will be doing a lot of work on it.
The IT consultancy sector was hit very hard this and last year.

Tax receipts will be top of the agenda for HMRC and Gov, so you can see a huge grab of money coming.

Non declared income will also be top of their list. So bragging on social media will defo draw attention.

YouokHun · 25/02/2021 13:57

Will it only impact on Ltd companies? I’m a sole trader. When I’ve taken a contract (NHS agency work in one location, two days a week for a year for example) I’ve always been told that I need to ensure my income is mixed because of IR35.

If I sign up to Arbonne and have some money coming in (but a lot more flowing out) won’t that fall under that radar? Or perhaps the HMRC would class me as a customer!

Those director’s loan that keep on shifting about from one Ltd co to another (the geeky guru springs to mind), could do with a bit of attention from HMRC couldn’t they?

Bluewavescrashing · 25/02/2021 19:05

I'm really hoping this is the nail in the coffin for mlms.

Imagine "partying" with those automotons. I'd rather try and suck my own eyeball out through a straw

...but remember Dallas and how entertaining that was for us 🤣
