Wrt bots signing up disabled people, there's a woman in my town who has severe learning difficulties and some cunt signed her up to Acti Labs.

Five minutes talking to her would have made it perfectly obvious that she's incredibly vulnerable but gotta build that down line somehow...

Spongebobette · 23/02/2021 19:19

Welcome to the world of MLMs... just leave your conscience and sense of decency at the door...

SSDGM · 23/02/2021 20:13

Bless, Yawn got a sad yoga mat.

Lemming20 · 23/02/2021 20:27

@mids2019 welcome. Please spread the word about how terrible MLMs are.

I found these threads because I was targeted as a new mum. I looked at the lies bots tell and thought wow that looks fun and sparkly and somewhere I can belong. The reality is of course nowhere close. People lose money / friends / dreams and their self esteem in one fell swoop. We watch the bots and analyse their behaviours and try to warn others why it is such a bad idea to join.

Bless, Yawn got a sad yoga mat.
She can always sex it up a bit with a dab or two of French Chic paint finished with a desperate flourish of gold leaf.

Thanks. I see.

Back in my day used to Avon and Tupperware....showing my age

CompleteBarstool · 23/02/2021 20:56

Uber's seeming quite desperate these days ... desperate to keep up the engagement, desperate to remain relevant, desperate to be everybody's best friend.

  • She's on TikTok
  • She's doing the "Natter" lives
  • She's asking topical questions ("What do you think Boris will be saying?")
  • She's got a new puppy
  • And now she's some sort of Mental Health expert advising on helping young people with lockdown related anxiety Hmm
Digcho · 23/02/2021 21:32

@LibyanFeet 😂😂😂

ToBotOrNotToBot · 23/02/2021 22:30

@BangingOn a level 1 cheque is the lowest. We're talking roughly $12-15k I reckon, which is nothing to be sniffed at but isn't life changing

Thank you. I wonder whether she will share the amount or hide it, Uber style (assuming that is indeed what Uber did). It won’t look so great compared to her previous cheques, or will these discreetly disappear from her posting history?

JaniceBattersby · 23/02/2021 23:06

Yoga mat has been anything from 3k ish to 15k ish in the past few years. And that’s dollars, so after exchange rate and tax is taken into account, maybe about £7k max.

Given she’s currently in the UK top ten and has probably had her best year for at least four years, it doesn’t bode well for the rest of her high flyers group who she’s been ‘coaching’ to get chairman’s bonus for the past year.

@mids2019

Fascinated by these threads....are the posters victims of previous ML M scams? Are these posts to serve as warnings? Are these schemes actually illegal (should be)
Never part of an MLM myself but became aware of them through friends and relatives who were sucked in when financially vulnerable, then spat out again, scarred and damaged by the experience.

I did a bit of digging and started to uncover some real horror stories and in depth analysis of why MLM business model was so flawed and damaging for the vast majority of people sucked in.

The sheer level of lies, deceit and vile behaviour exhibited by influential uplines hell bent on exploiting anyone in order to secure a new recruit and their continued brainwashing tactics to keep them enslaved and spending their own money because they were told "success is just around the corner" keeps me here on these threads after five years.

In the beginning of these threads we were something of a lone voice in the wilderness but over the years, there are now so many victims who are, at last, beginning to speak out about their experiences on all types of social media.

It takes courage to speak out, because reps are told it is their fault they failed the business and they carry that shame and embarrassment. Now we know that the business model ensures that the rep "is" the customer, paying to play, and can rarely (less than 1% of the time) secure a decent income. And, that in order to achieve an income, all their downlines must lose money so this tiny percentage can gain. It is sick.

Bluewavescrashing · 23/02/2021 23:44

Ah, the sad yoga mat cheque. It's a thing of beauty when the bots unzip them and try to hide their disappointment 😂

I seem to remember one of the best being Uber's sister . Her face was a picture and I think she could just about be heard expressing her disappointment !
Malin52 · 24/02/2021 07:35

@CompleteBarstool I seem to recall, via some lip reading she unrolled it, looked at it and declared:
"IS THAT IT? THATS SHIT!!!!"

Spongebobette · 24/02/2021 08:06

Someone else will remember the details better than me, but FL changed the way they calculate CB - in order to make sure the headline cheques, such as Uber and Bloodsucker’s still look good, the Level 3 cheques contained money that used to go to level 2 and 1 - hence some disappointed bots in Sweden in 2019 opening yoga mats and looking disappointed

CompleteBarstool · 24/02/2021 08:40

It was definitely something like that wasn't it.

I seem to remember watching it time and time again as it was so funny to see her mask slip and that expression on her face when she didn't realise that she was on camera.

Yet they still continue to lie, living their fake lives that they claim are due to income from FL.

I suppose when you see your sister getting over half a million it must be a bitter pill to swallow, greedy mare.

fitgirl26 · 24/02/2021 09:30

I found these threads when a friend's cousin sent me a Facebook friend request and then added me to a Younique group. I had to remove myself four times as she kept adding me back in so I eventually unfriended her and googled "Being added to Younique Facebook groups"- this led me to Timeless Vie on FB and then here!

Oh Yawn - only you would plonk an empty FL yellow suitcase in the middle of your home gym. And FYI - doing a few Les Mills classes at David Lloyd does NOT qualify you to put together "fun workouts" for your minions.

terrywynne · 24/02/2021 10:12

Is there a hierarchy of Forever Living suitcases? Saw a few of the bots showing off their new yellow ones with logo but then one was showing of a gold one...or maybe they are just sending out odds and ends of stock. Or a bot is lying about getting one by showing off an old model. They are all ugly as fuck though. No way would I be saying my company was the best ever for sending me one Grin

fromdownwest · 24/02/2021 10:38

I see that Castle and co have been congratulating a new lady in a Scotland for hitting top spot.

She also does some kind of therapy.

I hope that the two businesses are completely independent of each other ......

ToBotOrNotToBot · 24/02/2021 12:38

The chairmans bonus payments changed dramatically but it wasn't announced, it was done in the policy booklet, hidden in 46 pages and I don't know if anyone actually noticed. The top bots would have known though.

It used to be

1/2 of the total pot went to level 1 qualifiers
1/3 of the total pot went to level 2 qualifiers
1/6 of the total pot went to level 3 qualifiers.

Then they tweaked it so that the big cheques stayed big.

1/2 went to levels 1, 2 & 3
1/3 went to levels 2 & 3
1/6 went to level 3

So for example in the old system, let's just say that they had a good year and shared $24 million

$12 million shared between level 1
$6 million shared between level 2
$3 million shared between level 3

With the new system, let's just say they have a worse year and the pot is only worth $18 million

$9 million shared between levels 1,2 & 3
$4.5 million shared between levels 2 & 3
$2.25 million shared between level 3

So you can see how the pot is smaller to share between the level 3 qualifiers, but it's now topped up with a share from all levels. So although the pot is considerably smaller, the level 3's pot is probably the same if not slightly higher than it was, but all the level 1's and 2's have a much smaller portion

Spongebobette · 24/02/2021 13:26

Definitely a move to make sure the headline cheques didn’t decrease

Spongebobette · 24/02/2021 13:30

I wonder if they will all be getting big enough cheques to get themselves out of the financial holes they’ve dug

fromdownwest · 24/02/2021 14:44

Have you all seen the X-Ray episode on BBC iplayeer. Season 20 Episode 12.

Pretty damming.

The anti MLM is reaching the main stream media nicely now.
