Flicking through our parish magazine I came across an article extolling a new local small businesses marketplace on FB. Always happy to support local artisans and crafters, I moseyed over for a look. The page was private, which initially seemed strange when the point of it was to promote a marketplace. I then looked at the rules - only one network marketing business of any name allowed!

Does this mean the local huns are cannibalistically purchasing from each other in a closed arena, like a barrel of piranhas? What a brilliant idea, long may it continue.

So true. I'd be astonished if she keeps it up next year though, it definitely doesn't feel like she's got the same volume of victims as last year, and nobody seems to have ranked up either.

That's the thing though: anyone with common sense now sees through the scam that is MLM. She has no choice but to recruit the ultra vulnerable and desperate crowd capable of believing the lies claims. It's all that is left.
