Welcome to the Feb thread.

Newbies welcome. We're all here for the same thing, get together and earn some extra cash. Aim for £10/day but every little (or lots) is good.

I'll check tomorrow too. I just saw on the chat that others have the same problem so maybe it's a known issue. Will send a ticket anyway so I'm covered if they haven't gone through by the time the deadline comes.

@Rad2016 after an extended career break to have kids I don't think I know what to do either

@TheHumanFund did you click both submit buttons in ADAP? I didn’t realise there was another button at the bottom to begin with.

Yes I clicked both - the one that generated a submission code and then the 'submit and continue' button at the bottom. To be honest I started wondering if I should only have clicked the bottom one!

@TheHumanFund how strange. I clicked both and it seems to have recorded them all fine. I hope you get a response about what has happened soon and you don’t have to redo them all!

@TheHumanFund I completed my reimbursement info this morning and have the same problem - it's as if I haven't done them even though each one seemed to go through fine like every other month... have sent a ticket too and included all my submission IDs

There is a big voice assistant project going on at the moment with UTest that they are currently looking for people if anyone's interested.

I'm hoping to get that one @Catatemyhomework I filled out the paid survey yesterday so fingers crossed

Did you see someone on Am** chat say they had to buy a coat that was made to look like a lettuce leaf!

I wonder who pays for this? Surely a company making lettuce leaf coats and cheap wigs isn't spending money on mystery shoppers? I guess it must be the site we access the tool in that pays?

@Catatemyhomework I added them too, and my DH, but then realised the test case I claimed was supposed to be for a south England accent (which we all have but he does not!). Weirdly, it asked about the kids' accents separately but not his, so will see what happens next.

@blowonitthen, that's exactly what happened with me. I think most of the accents already gone were South as when I checked it said 9 left out of 50.

Hopefully it's a known issue then and it will get sorted. I don't have much hope of getting a reply to the tickets before the submission deadline!

Those of you on Appen - do you sign up for every project going, or do you pick out the few you think you can do?

Well Am** was a bit of a dead loss this month. Out of 7 items 4 were skips, so I have bought a dress from China, a car part and the non-alcoholic drink. Total less than £100.

In order to make my previous post look stupid my order from the Chinese company decided to arrive this morning and actually seems ok! They must have thought I was so pleased with it I jumped straight back in to buy the dress from them!

@AnotherOne4 I apply for any that I'm eligible for. Lots of them don't come to anything (never selected, or selected and still don't get work!) so worth applying for everything in my opinion!

@AnotherOne4 Also some of the projects I've thought would be rubbish or hard turn out to be good, and some that sound good end up being disappointing

@Catatemyhomework Does it involve calling other uTesters? I think I might have declined the survey for that one as the thought of doing it with screaming kids in the background filled me with horror. If it's not, I've not been invited for that one. I'd love the details please.

@MrsWombat, I'm not sure if it's calling other UTesters but I think it involves Facebook and using it as a VA. I'm not entirely sure of the details yet or if I'll be accepted but it looks like a decent project that has the potential for longevity! 😉
