Welcome to the Feb thread.

Newbies welcome. We're all here for the same thing, get together and earn some extra cash. Aim for £10/day but every little (or lots) is good.

@Paddingtonthebear Ap can take a while. I've got 14 in progress. Hang in there.

I got the Bn email but looking at the comments I might give it a miss.

@TheLolaMontez weirdly a friend ignored the Bn emails and got an email say congrats on passing the test.

@MarigoldMoonStone I'm just starting on Pllck. I suspect I might be stopping soon as it's taking forever and I'm only at 76% accuracy. That said, the chat have been really helpful.

I did the Amr survey for this month. I'm currently waiting on a Dec refund, which the company can't find and are dragging their heels on, a PayPal dispute as the item was so bad and not what I ordered (they offered me 20%. I think not!), a missing item from Jan and still 2 outstanding for Feb. I quite enjoy it though.

Ugh, just set everything up to settle down and start Bn and it says there are no more tasks available, pardon me for not spotting the emails in the very very early hours.

Or is it the glitch you're all talking about, either way it's a shambles.

MarigoldMoonStone · 17/02/2021 08:52

@seizethecuttlefish yes it is very time consuming, my problem is having to keep scrolling down then back up to select time stamp, the shortcut either doesn’t work on my laptop or I’m doing it wrong. Forr so much easier

Fizbo · 17/02/2021 08:53

@Frenchdoors1 did you try the second link? I'm on it at the moment, it's very easy as there is a preview of each website so easy to do in under 2 mins

Yes, it said no more tasks available on the 2nd link too Smile thank you!

Rad2016 · 17/02/2021 08:58

Am glad I didn't bother. See that's my problem with this project. Sending them out at 1am, wth?

Frenchdoors1 · 17/02/2021 09:05

Yes I'm on the 2nd link. Sorry!

seizethecuttlefish · 17/02/2021 09:37

In case any of you are newly self employed, you might be able to apply for the new covid relief grant. I'm not sure if it's just Scotland but just in case.

After 6 or 7 weeks of trying to get some money through these various sites I think it is finally starting to trickle through.

I have 4 small projects on the go from Ap, though the auto invoicing seems very hit and miss, and no payments yet. I will give that another couple of months as doing the work does not take too long and I am getting into a routine with it. If it does not pay then I will knock it on the head. I think it's a really clunky system too. The website is not very user friendly, some of it is really poorly laid out. It looks like it's done in a hurry - especially when you compare it to how easy to navigate sites like Pro*c and PFR are.

I was lucky and got a ££50 video link survey from PFR early on - I enjoyed that and they paid up promptly too.

I am enjoying Pro*c- interesting surveys and got up to my first £5 pretty quickly - I wish there was more from here - some days nothing, other days one maybe two to do. The registration was a bit long winded, getting through the id bit took a bit of time, but it was worth it.

I joined You**v, but nothing happening there. It will take forever until I get up to the £50 cash in.

So overall this is proving to be an interesting, if sometimes frustrating way to earn a little extra cash. Thanks for all the links and help.

redgirl1 · 17/02/2021 10:14

@Gatekeeper yes got that n&;e email and it doesn’t seem to be working from my phone for a few days either.

whysotriggered · 17/02/2021 10:26

Not sure why they release them that early in the morning for our location, oh well.

Winterjoy · 17/02/2021 11:13

Can anyone advise re HMRC - do I need to register for the 2020-21 tax year even though will not earn above the 1000 SE allowance? I can't see the correct protocol clearly stated in the info I've found online. And is the allowance per year or a one-off to help start ups?

PandemicPalava · 17/02/2021 11:16

Hi all! New to this, registered with Ap, passed Potato (finally) and had a couple of tasks from P*c yesterday which I really like. Shame the first one was well paid but crashed out, no completion code, did it twice and the same. Emailed the researcher so hopefully will still get money as lots of additional bonuses throughout task.

So, yesterday £7
Today £1.70 so far ... determined to make this work

PandemicPalava · 17/02/2021 11:21

@Winterjoy you don't need to unless you earn over £1000, classing you as gainfully employed

Thanks @PandemicPalava. I also get paid via PAYE from an employer (over 1000pa) but as far as I can work out these are treated separately by HMRC due to one income being self employed and one as an employee. I'm worried about messing this up and wiping out all my hard work with a fine!

tinyradish · 17/02/2021 11:31

Thanks for the replies regarding T**s :) I sent a ticket with info of days with small batches, no bakeoff & lots of errors so guess that's all that can be done! Seems very easy money so happy to be on it & hopeful to stay on it.

I also got put on B* without taking the test. Grin

Does anyone else hate the new Fr platform? & why is their no skip option??
Such a shame because I enjoyed that before but cba with it now.

tinyradish · 17/02/2021 11:32

minnimiss · 17/02/2021 12:26

I really wasn't expecting much from the clothing items from China from this months Am** purchases but I have to say they are even worse than expected. I ordered a size bigger after reading reviews but they are huge! And the fabric and stitching just shocking. How do these companies survive?

fandangofandango · 17/02/2021 12:49

Anyone else having problems with the B* rating task?

Buster27 · 17/02/2021 12:52

@MarigoldMoonStone if you're on a mac it's control option and whatever letter for shortcuts, definitely a lot quicker with the shortcuts. Chat will keep you right if you're using something else. Your Forr project must be the better than the one I did a few months ago, the audio was pretty crap on my one so was quite slow going!

Missed out on the B**e work, not sure I'll end up doing any with the random drop times tbh.

Anyone done Gorg*o on App? Just qualified but can't open the project page.

Crowsandshivers · 17/02/2021 13:02

Anyone use PayPal for potato. I put my invoice in the other day and when I clicked through on the app just now I can see it says cancelled in orange. Has this happened to anyone before? First time doing an invoice. Thanks.

Buster27 · 17/02/2021 13:03

Oh still seems to be B**e work. I managed 1 and then timed out on the second (didn't realise you didn't have to open all the pages anymore). Then I managed 5 minutes before it glitched Hmm

AnotherOne4 · 17/02/2021 13:15

Anyone who does the FB suvery jobs on Appen, how long do these normally take to pay/or appear as an invoice?
The instructions say they will automatically invoice....

The only ones that have been added to my invoice are the N*whalen ones. The other two haven't been added for Jan or Feb despite me sending the completion codes via a ticket. But yes, in theory, they should be!
