Newbies welcome. We're all here for the same thing, get together and earn some extra cash. Aim for £10/day but every little (or lots) is good.

I've received 5 products so just waiting for the wig. They're all nice so I think I did well this month .

For Amr... I passed the qualification test today. On the Amr homepage, it shows the details and dates for the Feb launch. I’ve obviously missed the deadlines for this round. Do I just need to wait until I’m invited to participate in the March launch?

@WizardOfAus They'll send an email out when the availability survey for March is open, you then complete it (it's literally just asking if you're available and willing to spend up to $500) and then wait until the launch day to see if you're picked.

Just checked my emails and last month it came out on the 18th so likely be around then.

@WizardOfAus, I have been accepted on am*r since December, completed everything on homepage but haven't been chosen to purchase anything since. You might have to wait a while

If you work for appen can you work for anyone else?

@Paddingtonthebear, yes, but you have to be aware of potential conflicts of interest so I think there are some Lionbridge projects you wouldn't be allowed to do if you were already working for Appen (and the other way round if you were working for Lionbridge first).

To all potato folks, do you still use the unsure button? I probably hit it about 2-3 times a session and wondering whether I'm doing it too much. I've been doing potato for nearly 2 months now and have not had any feedback, is that normal?

I rarely use the Unsure, but I also wouldn’t choose an option just for the sake of avoiding it.
Are you following yours up in query emails (with ref ID)? They’ll explain what the correct choice was, which would help you avoid having to unsure in the future (so you’d do it less and less). And that’s also where I’d expect any feedback on if I was using too often/unnecessarily.

Did any Crispers do the 11am surge yesterday, and has the surge payment appeared on your dash yet? It's the only bit I did yesterday so I know it's not showing.

I haven't found where my Chromebook is yet, but I tried it out briefly on the touchscreen on the kids laptop, and it works ok with the Crisp menus. I wouldn't say it was particularly quicker, but it was nice to use a different set of muscles and I will try and do that more often. I don't get on with using the keyboard keys. If I can remember where I left my Chromebook (buried in a pile of books somewhere no doubt) I can use that in bed as it's got a smaller screen.

@MrsWombat my items from yesterday are there but now you mention it the pay seems low compared to today's surge ones.

@MrsWombat I thought that too! Was expecting it to correct itself overnight :-(

With Appen, how do you know if it’s a long term task or short term?

@Paddingtonthebear you don't really...in my experience the pay per task (e.g. video uploads and similar) ones are one-offs whereas the pay per hour ones are more likely to be long term. HTH

Yes I did @Gatekeeper although I am not surprised as I didn't do the b* test recently

The email says the project is no more and that's why we were removed.

I got the Wouri removal email and also did the Bane test. I’m hoping it’s just because that project is no more. I’m not worrying until I get a Bane one. 😅

Yep I got that too but was expecting it as the B reassessment email said W was to be no more.
