@Notsomenumpty Blimey, that's bad. I hope you get it sorted! That's really not on. Angry

Phew. Finally completed all of my purchases. Yay. The last item that arrived was such a pisstake. I feel like I can't even take it to a charity shop because it's such bad quality. Confused

ruralwanderer · 08/01/2021 19:08

I'm really surprised about the Appen payment issues, they've always been good with my invoices. I haven't used Neevo since the payment debacle with them months ago - have they improved on that front now?

Notsomenumpty · 08/01/2021 20:24

I've been on the project a year with no problems until now. The only other invoice issues I had were with B* which were eventually resolved but what has happened to that project I don't know! The support team seems to be cancelling tickets left and right without resolving the query. The problems seem to arise when their tool doesn't record the data so it looks like hours are being claimed but they can't find the work. Then it's your word against them unless you have screenshots of everything but if you've not had problems before you don't always think to do that!

Tattiespuds · 09/01/2021 08:21

Happy new year everyone... I'm late to the new thread.
After doing potato every day in Dec to get my rate up so I can go at full pelt this month it quietens right now. I'm assuming due to new intake and then lockdown means lots more on furlough so everyone is wanting to earn more.

I've decided to give Appen another go since previously I wasn't getting anything and have money in pioneer that isn't enough to be paid.
Applying for absolutely everything to see if I can eventually get a longer term project.
Anyone doing News**h? I got on but after reading guidelines can't find how to access my it.

Februarycat · 09/01/2021 11:03

*@Tattiespuds I have been doing News*h and I use the link they send in the e mail

Tattiespuds · 09/01/2021 11:20

@Februarycat this is copied from my email... Think I need to wait for the ticket?

Thank you for completing the registration process. Please access the survey on the Project's homepage when it is available. We will also send you a ticket to remind you of the survey.

Februarycat · 09/01/2021 11:51

@Tattiespuds Yes they send you a reminder e mail every few days so I just click on the link in that e mail and it has always worked for me

Sallycinnamum · 09/01/2021 12:12

@Notsomenumpty that is appalling. Theres something odd going on at Appen as I've never had any issue with my invoices up to now.

There's some suggestion on the web that they're in trouble financially so I don't know whether that's true or not but ripping their workers off is not the right way to go about it.

Do you know anything about the Og**n project as I've seen mention of it on the chat boards.

WizardOfAus · 09/01/2021 16:11

Appen now has a star review of 1.9/5 on Trustpilot.

ruralwanderer · 09/01/2021 16:30

I've been doing Ne**h for a while now with no trouble, I just use the link on the surveys tab on the Work It page 👍

seizethecuttlefish · 09/01/2021 16:45

@Notsomenumpty that's terrible. I've never had an issue but this month the chat boards are full of issues. The New--- project, I am just writing off. The other project I am on keeps changing blooming guidelines and billing periods and I only find out if I go and check the page (which I don't do every day)!

@Sallycinnamum I'm on that project. Easy peasy, when I started it was 2 days a week and now up to 5-7.

@Tattiespuds Potato is back to normal Loads of newbies saying it's slow but not realising it's content. I'll miss the buzz. Hopefully it'll be back.

@WizardOfAus I'm not surprised. They seem to have lost the plot a bit.

I got accepted for a LB project but there's never any work. I'm not about next week, due to hospital stuff so trying just to enjoy the rest from constant scrabbling for work. It'll be like a mini spa break!

@seizethecuttlefish is the O*n one part of N*e? I'm really hoping I get switched to that instead of the regular rating project ad it's so bloody time consuming writing about the same ones over and over again.

Sallycinnamum · 09/01/2021 17:02

@WizardOfAus I've just read the Trust Pilot reviews. Not good.

seizethecuttlefish · 09/01/2021 18:37

@Sallycinnamum it's really similar. I was on both at one point. Not exciting but an easy one. Takes me about 25 mins to do the 30 ads.

Getting frustrated with the n**e project tool. Still hardly working and its been a week now. Anyone else?

TammyTwoSwanson · 10/01/2021 08:09

Placemarking. I did sign up to appen and potato last month but now we are homeschooling so I've barely had time! Argh. I'm still trying to learn the ropes too. Would literally pay for a "how to" guide from one of you well earning pros! (Another income stream idea?😂)

lannister · 10/01/2021 08:26

@TammyTwoSwanson just take it a day at a time. With ap every project has instructions on how to do it. Same as potato, start off slow and do it regularly. The good thing about potato is you can jump on and off whenever you like, so when you get a spare few minutes do a few. Just remember to do a minimum of 1000 per month I think?? (Someone correct me if i'm wrong)

Tattiespuds · 10/01/2021 09:15

@TammyTwoSwanson im still trying to get my head around Appen. But as @lannister said can pop on/off potato any time. Just do a min of 1000 per month and don't go more than 3 weeks between working. Potato seems to be busier overnight just now

Tightwad2020 · 10/01/2021 14:23

Hi, just trying to sign up with Appen. They asked me to click through to my Paypal account, for payment for future jobs. Is that correct?

And...although I have set up a log in, when I try to click on a job (level one, new person, obviously) it keeps saying email and password incompatible. Despite it being the password generated by the and saved into Google. It's not a great start (and the kind of thing guaranteed to make me feel too thick to do this sort of work!). Do I just need to wait, or should I contact the help team?

Tightwad2020 · 10/01/2021 14:33

Right, I've gone via a different route, now, and this feels more like the right experience. Have contacted Paypal to tell them to block any attempts to access my account.

Appen request a CV and don't ask for Paypal, am I right?

Miarara · 10/01/2021 15:05

@Tightwad2020 Appen asked for my CV but not Paypal.

I got 18/20 on the test for Crisp, am I able to redo it or is that it now?

ruralwanderer · 10/01/2021 15:45

@Miarara, you can redo the Crisp test as many times as you need to :)

Tattiespuds · 10/01/2021 15:46

@Tightwad2020 Appen ask for CV but you don't get paid via PayPal.. it's Payoneer.

@Miarara you can re try as many times as you need. Once you get 19 your on the waiting list

Tightwad2020 · 10/01/2021 16:10

Thanks for feedback on payment methods on Appen!

Is it best to just say you're available for variable/unlimited hours rather than specify the number of hours that, in reality, you would be able/willing to do?

MarigoldMoonStone · 10/01/2021 19:14

Anyone heard anything for the next round of A**r?
