Hi everyone. Welcome to the new thread.

Have to agree that the communication from Appen is shockingly shit. I sent a ticket about something, got no reply, sent another about something else and got a reply of "we are deleting this ticket as it's a duplicate" I replied all ranty that it wasn't and then got some waffle back about taking my comments on board. JUST ANSWER MY FUCKING QUESTION Angry

minnimiss · 14/12/2020 20:34

Am** people, has anyone had electrical type items with good return policy's. And if so what to you do re taking photographs for the reviews? I have a item I want to send back but it's fully sealed in thin plastic wrap. Will I have to totally un box the whole thing to photograph it?

bookgirl1982 · 14/12/2020 20:44

@minnimiss I've photographed outer packaging so far (not the postage stuff but boxes etc)

TheLolaMontez · 14/12/2020 20:51

Finally sorted, just finished my submissions for reimbursement 🙌🏼 I can now breathe again

RaininSummer · 14/12/2020 20:57

I think I have done my reimbursements but am worrying as there was no acknowledgement of it once complete. Is that normal? It just ask me if I wanted to 'give up' ?

whysotriggered · 14/12/2020 21:00

@TheLolaMontez glad to hear that

whysotriggered · 14/12/2020 21:16

@RaininSummer I didn't get one last time and it was fine.

RaininSummer · 14/12/2020 22:04

Thank you Why.

YonderTweek · 14/12/2020 22:08

@TheLolaMontez Yay! Glad to hear it. It must have been stressful!

One of my purchases was a big bag of vegan sweets and ohmigod they're amazing! I'm not vegan but I don't eat gelatin and I've not had actual sweets for years. These are divine! Grin I've just been sitting here getting really buzzed on sugar. Haha.

CrepuscularCritter · 14/12/2020 23:24

@TheLolaMontez Relieved for you; that's pretty stressful.

I haven't had any acknowledgement of my reimbursement submission either, so glad to hear that's normal.

TheLolaMontez · 15/12/2020 07:45

Thanks everyone! Certainly feeling relieved, I was getting very anxious and stressed. It will make me consider carefully if I want to do it again (should I get picked), though I probably will as I have a hard time turning down work opportunities!

Managed to do a good amount of potato yesterday. Did one of the files too, which sent me a little crossed eyed but was straightforward enough. Looking forward to the statement already Grin

TheLolaMontez · 15/12/2020 07:45

Just wanted to thank you all for your support too, it really is a lifeline ♥️

Barbarabauble · 15/12/2020 08:02

Complete Newbie here so sorry for dumbing down the thread.

I too need to make some money. Threads like this inspire me and I've just applied to sign up with Crisp. I got an email asking for a photo and saying something like 'Congratulations on applying to be a Risk Analyst' - which scared me. I'm not even sure what one is and never knew I'd applied to be one.

And then I realised I didn't know what you all do as tasks/projects for Crisp. I've read through mist of this thread and am none the wiser. What does it involve exactly? Does it require special skills (which I probably haven't got ... )

Redcrayons · 15/12/2020 08:17

Crisp is a social media monitoring company. They take the social media feeds of some big brand names and assess each post for a ‘risk’ (is a customer service enquiry)
The training helps you with what is a risk.
It can be quite a long wait to get on it, so you might want to look at some other ideas.

YonderTweek · 15/12/2020 08:53

@barbarabauble Did they say why they asked for a photo? I'm curious. Grin I applied about six months ago so I'm not holding my breath. Haha.

whysotriggered · 15/12/2020 12:55

@TheLolaMontez I too have that bag of sweets Grin

ZetaPuppis · 15/12/2020 15:05

Can I ask any nee vo agents if you have to submit your hours? Or is it calculated automatically?

Frenchdoors1 · 15/12/2020 15:10

@ZetaPuppis They may send you an invoice to fill in, they have sent them to me in the past Smile

Catatemyhomework · 15/12/2020 15:17

@ZetaPuppis, I am currently an agent on Neevo. As I understand it we have to keep a record of our own hours as we can only do a max of 15. I think then we submit these hours to Neevo either once we hit 15 hours or once the project finishes, which ever happens first. I think that's my understanding anyway.

ZetaPuppis · 15/12/2020 15:32

Thank you Smile

3dogdnorth · 15/12/2020 19:35

I've been accepted for potato now and working through the guidelines with the 30 minute assessment looming! I really don't want to mess this up so do any experienced potatoes have any advice on doing well and passing?

anxiouswaiting · 15/12/2020 19:40

Those of you on the For*** on Appen did you join recently? I was on it earlier in the year and didn't realise it had restarted. it is still on my dashboard but I can't access any work. Wondering if I have been kicked off, but my accuracy was always pretty good.

Anyone done the Mitc** exam? is it hard?

seizethecuttlefish · 15/12/2020 19:47

@TheLolaMontez glad you got it done. I also have the sweets, my friend is vegan and loved them. I got very expensive hand sanitizer and it's incredible. No way I could afford it normally. There was a gorgeous candle but I couldn't get the sale to go through Sad

Yes I was accepted to Fr ages ago but only added to the tool recently @anxiouswaiting

Hi, how did you get to become an agent. I am being on the other side of that task at the moment and there seems a shortage of agents?
