Sorry, I've just re-read the initial Appen email - it says once registered and applied, the Project Manager will contact me regarding qualification.

seizethecuttlefish · 03/11/2020 20:06

@GailLondon thanks.

@GailLondon Thanks for the tips! I'm also looking forward to starting this, I think we still need to wait for another email at 1am this morning - I can't remember who asked that further up the thread.

I'm also on the Utest product testing thing that some of you are on! We started it today and it was fine, just setting everything up.

Other than that, I've been really lucky on Intellizoom recently, had a few good surveys for $8 and $5 apiece, so this month is off to a good start.

Again, thanks to all of you for all these threads - I pop in and out and just read your advice but it is nice seeing that so many of you are doing the same things I'm doing :)

LimeJellyforBrains · 03/11/2020 21:32

Just been on the Am*r chat - some people now have access to the rating tool, and can see their ads (shouldn't start buying until THE email though!).

I haven't got access to the tool so can't see any ads. Looks unlikely I'll be doing it this month Sad. I'm a would-be newbie.

How about the rest of you waiting?

Tattiespuds · 03/11/2020 21:38

@seizethecuttlefish yeh i had wondered about the shifts. Cant imagine I will be offered them anytime soon either. I had been wondering why I was given access so soon to the tool for booking them, guess its for these few times. There may be more shifts added if it gets busy.

@LimeJellyforBrains Hmm I just looked at the chat too. I'm with you, I'm going to wait until THE email - I don't even want to check if the tool is working yet until I get it! Also just noticed you don't have access to the tool? Have you submitted a ticket?

Also, I just wanted to ask everybody - I got an email asking me to apply for For**er today, a transcription task. Has anybody done that one?

Last question, is usertesting worth it? Is it more like Intellizoom or Utest?

LimeJellyforBrains · 03/11/2020 22:40

Haha @Ilovefood1 I see you had the same problem as I did with the Post Message button not seeming to work! Grin

Yes, I got the For*er email today too. Might have a go.

curdsandwhey · 03/11/2020 22:54

@Ilovefood1 Usertesting is like Intellizoom, but actually a lot better. They pay $10 per test, compared to Intellizoom's $8, it's easier to use, more organised, and I get more tests. In general I've been getting about 3-4 tests per month on Intellizoom, and 8-10 on Usertesting. Go for it!

Buster27 · 03/11/2020 23:05

@LimeJellyforBrains just checked the tool (via link on project home page) and mine says I have products available to purchase. Obviously I won't be doing anything without receiving the official email though so will wait and see.

LimeJellyforBrains · 03/11/2020 23:26

Congratulations @Buster27 ! Looks like you're in this month.

Tool still not working for me, so looks like I'm not.

Bit gutted, I was so excited, and hoping for something useful as Christmas presents.

Ilovefood1 · 03/11/2020 23:32

@LimeJellyforBrains yeah I did Grin I don't know why I kept pressing it after it didn't work the first time!

@curdsandwhey thank you for that, I think I will give it a go! Although intellizoom is good, alot of them come in really late at night, I've just been lucky with the ones Ive got in the daytime. I will make some time to do the practice test then! 👍🏼

Does anyone use Ipsos I say? I've never noticed it mentioned, I've been on it for years and I find it really good for surveys, I'm constantly redeeming Amazon vouchers from there. Also had a good few product tests! Don't know if there's a referral link, I can have a look if anyone is interested.

YonderTweek · 04/11/2020 00:04

Ahh lame, I just checked my tool and it doesn't work. Sad I don't know if I'm being too hasty about it but I'm guessing I'm not in it this month. Boo! Will check again in the morning but I'll try not to get my hopes up.

peabrainer · 04/11/2020 00:16

@Tattiespuds @seizethecuttlefish been off potato for a couple of days and saw your posts re shifts. Can I ask how you got to sign up for shifts? I don't think I got an email.. or was it via slack? Looks like I missed those😢 never done them before

curdsandwhey · 04/11/2020 00:42

@Ilovefood1 I know right? I often wake up in the morning, check my email and find that Intellizoom have emailed me at 4am, and the test has already gone by then. With Usertesting it works differently, it's more like Prolific where you keep a tab open and the tests come in in real time. The website makes a ding sound to alert you. The tests all have a questionnaire of 2-4 questions and I get screened out of most of them, but that only takes a few seconds. I still get about 2-3 tests per week out of them.

ElectricEels · 04/11/2020 04:43

@peabrainer it was just an announcement via slack. Don't worry you haven't missed signing up for regular shift work- it's just for the election and they were booking people to work in the regular queues to make sure there is cover for the content.

MrsWombat · 04/11/2020 04:43

@peabrainer It was a one off because of the US Election. They mentioned it on slack and an email was automatically sent when they listed them at 2pm yesterday. I was at work and missed it too!

ElectricEels · 04/11/2020 04:43

No email or access to the am*r tool for me Sad

Rad2016 · 04/11/2020 05:58

Email here for me. Am just nervous now

seizethecuttlefish · 04/11/2020 06:16

I've got my Am email but I'm a wreck lol

ruralwanderer · 04/11/2020 06:28

I've got the A* email, will get started after breakfast 😁

I'm also doing For* - it's ok but only small batches so I find it hard to get into. I only do it when I'm at a loose end.
